Today and yesterday I spent the day selling my art on the side of the road in Hudson, New York… It was an absolutely incredible experience. It was my first time selling my art on the side of the road in upstate New York. I was not invited or welcome to show my studio as part of Upstate arts weekend and so I decided, as my personal life has just completely exploded recently, to just say fuck it, and just to show my art on the side of the road. I sold a lot of prints and had incredible conversations… I forgot how much I loved interacting with people and selling my work. In addition to the relaxed atmosphere of the sidewalk, the beautiful energy of the town, the people, and the weather, I was able to spend time painting in my new book and finishing some pieces, and I have uploaded some images of my favorite new piece as part of my ‘we are gods’ ongoing series… this is my first final finished circular piece and I really love it It’s very rare that I really like a piece of art that I make, where I actually really want to hang on my wall, but this is one of them I feel really happy and satisfied with. I don’t think that this would’ve happened had I not given myself the time to paint on the side of the road while selling my art :-) so much more to come —
