Great reaction! I'd love to hear your thoughts on some of the themes and symbolism of the show, maybe later once you have the full context. I honestly think it's one of my personal highlights with the show, in that way where weeks after watching it for the first time, I still had moments where I went "ohhh even that plays into the themes". Very minor note on your comment at the end, the reinforcement that showed up is not Kamina fanboys, they are arguably Simon fanboys, since Kamina was dead before the event where the armadilo guy broadcasted things out to them. They saw the moment where Simon regained his confidence, safed Nia and then defeated the armadilo dude. So they don't even know who Kamina is, they are purely motivated by Team Dai Gurren and Simon, which both obviously are motivated by Kamina, so in a way it's a chain of motivation xD

Re: Themes and symbolism - I normally touch on the themes and everything when they stand out to me, so hopefully you'll hear my thoughts on them as we get further in! I do tend to talk about whatever inspires me in the episodes, and most of the time that tends to be character writing, motivations, and development - so maybe I'll be a little less impressive than you'd hope when it comes to symbolism and themes. But we'll see when we get there!
