This is the episode that made me realize just how much Whit is like the smug dick wizard Baez from Joe Abercrombie's books

I totally remember listening to “The Jesus Cloth” on the radio when I was a kid. Given that it first aired on March 6, 1993, I may have listened to its premiere.

The thing I cannot abide, though, is the defamation of VeggieTales. VeggieTales had very good production value for its time, and it very much has distinct characters! Bob and Larry are an iconic gay couple!

Going back to the Dead Sea Scrolls, they do a two-parter about discovering a lost Gospel in Israel, and Whit turns into an elderly James Bond with his son(?) in the NSA. It reinforces the "our faith is stronger than archeological evidence" in an almost contradictory spirit to the carbon-testing plan in the Jesus Cloth

Oh, about the Potter's Park bit, the theory that Odyssey is Bedford Falls is probably more true than false. So, the Barkley's have a two-part episode which is just a parody of "It's a Wonderful Life." Also, the parents are "George" and "Mary," the husband and wife in that story
