[Pokémon Breeder in One Piece] Chapter 322 (Patreon)

The train ride was rather monotonous. Aside from admiring the scenery outside, the only options were to visit the entertainment or board game rooms to play simple games with strangers.
Speaking of which, when Dak leaned out to enjoy the view, he caused quite a stir.
The wild Pokémon running across the grasslands recognized him!
Although Dak was bundled up, Pokémon don't rely solely on vision to identify people. Different species have unique ways of recognizing individuals.
Scent is one of the most common methods Pokémon use, and every person has a distinct scent.
Because Dak spent so much time with Pokémon like Darkrai and Dialga, his scent had long since been infused with something distinct from an average human.
Humans couldn't detect it, but for a Pokémon's nose, it was as apparent as perfume.
Within minutes, a group of wild Pokémon was chasing after the high-speed train, forcing Dak to quickly retreat back inside.
"Sigh, being too charming isn't always a good thing."
Dak sighed as he covered his face and decided to head back to his room for some rest.
During his travel time, Dak wasn't idle. He spent it organizing the tasks he needed to complete next.
"Once these things are wrapped up, it'll probably be time to open the next world."
Dak sighed with a bit of melancholy.
He had no idea what the next world would be like. Hopefully, it would be a peaceful one with lower combat power.
[World Anchor]: 10 million PokéCoins.
This item, which was a reward after completing a series of main storyline tasks, had reappeared in the PokéMart. Its price was equivalent to ten Legendary Pokémon.
That price wasn't particularly steep.
The resources of a world would generally be worth at least 10 million PokéCoins, unless it was an utterly ruined world.
Of course, this item wasn't meant for opening a new world.
Instead, it worked during the activation of Origin Dialga and Origin Palkia's abilities, allowing the user to specify one out of five randomly emerging worlds to link to.
Without this item, the system would choose randomly. If it connected to a troublesome world, 10 million PokéCoins could end up being wasted.
But if the world turned out to have overwhelming combat power, it could be a major problem.
Of course, such a possibility was nearly zero. Even if it did happen, Dak wouldn't be afraid.
After all, if such a situation occurred, Charlotte wouldn't have been able to traverse a century of time to this era.
The rhythmic rumbling of train wheels lulled Dak into a drowsy state once again.
When he opened his eyes again, the train had stopped, and the sky outside was still the dim light of early morning.
Carrying his luggage, Dak sleepily disembarked.
This train wasn't particularly busy.
With the conclusion of the Pokémon Tournament, visitors from outside Pokémon Island were being sent back, leaving only residents or relatives of the Pokémon Alliance members.
Those arriving at Yggdrasil for tourism at this time were a fraction of this group.
Most people were returning to their daily lives and jobs.
Only the wealthier, more leisurely individuals had the time to visit for sightseeing and vacations during this period.
As Dak stepped out of the station, the fresh breeze instantly invigorated him.
He opened his eyes to take in the surroundings—a serene town imbued with Eastern charm.
"Those guys went all out behind my back."
Dak's eyes sparkled as he stepped off the platform.
He had only described the city's theme to the engineering team. Who would've thought they'd create such a beautiful place?
Though it differed from what Dak initially imagined, the city now seemed to fit the nickname "City of the World Tree" much better. In contrast, Dak's original concept felt a bit too conventional.
In truth, the misunderstanding stemmed from the very beginning, before the city's construction even started.
Dak and Tezoro had discussed Yggdrasil's developmental direction.
Both agreed it should be a landmark city.
However, they didn't delve deeper into the details.
Dak envisioned a bustling metropolis akin to Mermaid City, brimming with people.
Tezoro, however, imagined a tranquil, nature-filled town akin to a paradise, suitable for retirement or short vacations.
Dak assumed Tezoro shared his vision and handed the project over, only to end up with this unexpected result.
But in hindsight, Tezoro's idea turned out to be better.
"No wonder Madara and the others wanted to retire here—they must've been unimpressed by Alliance City's environment."
Dak shook his head helplessly.
Alliance City was undeniably beautiful on event days, but on ordinary days, it couldn't quite compare to the natural splendor of Yggdrasil.
Especially in terms of air quality. Stepping off the train, Dak could feel the refreshing natural atmosphere here.
While Alliance City's air quality was already high—better than Angel City or Mermaid City—it still couldn't match Yggdrasil, surrounded by greenery.
After all, the largest green entity on Pokémon Island, the "World Tree," was situated at the heart of this city.
Looking up, Dak could see the Brave Eagle tribe guarding the World Tree.
This species had been stationed here since Dak summoned them, entrusted with protecting the World Tree.
The Brave Eagle tribe was known for their valor and fearlessness.
They would fight to the death to protect their home, ensuring that no territory they guarded was ever taken away.
Given their traits, Dak had assigned them this critical duty.
"I need to bring in some Mandibuzz to ensure their population thrives."
Dak noted the small number of Brave Eagles and mentally added it to his to-do list.
It wasn't a difficult task—just a matter of tapping through the PokéMart.
But for now, he decided to familiarize himself with Yggdrasil first.
Yggdrasil had no distinct urban or suburban areas; the entire city felt like a countryside.
"Come to think of it, Kakuzu didn't mention where they're staying. Do they expect me to search for them one by one?"
Dak sighed and reluctantly activated his Observation Haki and psychic powers to scan the surroundings.
Soon, he sensed a familiar presence and leisurely made his way in that direction.
Strolling through the city, Dak observed its layout and considered possible improvements.
"Such a grand name, 'City of the World Tree,' deserves its own legends and pride."
Gazing at the towering World Tree ahead, Dak recalled an earlier idea but decided to shelve it for now, just like the Mandibuzz project.
After walking for half an hour, he arrived at a traditional courtyard house.
Knock knock.
Dak gently rapped on the wooden door.
The sound of high heels clicking against the floor approached from behind the door.
"High heels?"
Dak tilted his head in confusion. He didn't recall anyone in Madara's group wearing high heels.
Could it be—
Creak.
The wooden door swung open, revealing a tall woman with long, straight black hair.
"Ino?"
The woman looked remarkably like a grown-up Ino—or at least her hairstyle did.
But upon closer inspection, there were notable differences, like her black hair and blood-red eyes reflecting three tomoe.
"Why can the Uchiha use their Sharingan on Pokémon Island?"
Dak pondered the anomaly.
Typically, Uchiha eyes would revert to ordinary black pupils unless they actively used their Sharingan.
He scanned her but detected no chakra flow, indicating that the Sharingan had become a dominant trait here, much like the Hyūga's Byakugan.
"Uncle Dak~ Hey~"
The woman suddenly leaned close, whispering in a soft voice.
"Huh?"
Dak frowned. "Why are you calling me 'Uncle'? That's a bit presumptuous. I'm not that old."
He felt they were about the same age—or maybe she was even younger.
"Haha!"
Hearing this, the woman burst into laughter, clutching her forehead.
That familiar Uchiha-style manic laughter made Dak raise an eyebrow.
"I know you're confused. My father mentioned this before, but... haha, I didn't expect such a reaction from you. It seems you're even less familiar with the current situation than he anticipated."
Realizing she might've gone overboard, the woman composed herself and switched to a gentler smile.
Once calm, she stepped back, performed a graceful twirl, and introduced herself with a hand over her chest.
"Greetings, Uncle Dak. It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Uchiha Kibu, daughter of your companion Uchiha Madara. I'm 28 years old."
