[Naruto: Superpower Roulette] Chapter 363 (Patreon)

The night deepened as Temari returned home, carrying two large bags filled with food and household items. Her entrance immediately drew the attention of Shikamaru and Shikadai.
"What are you two staring at? Come help!"
Recalling Yoichi's reminder, Temari spoke sharply, her expression displeased as she addressed her husband and son.
Shikamaru and Shikadai, instinctively avoiding trouble as was their nature, quickly complied and took the bags to the kitchen table.
As they set everything down, Shikadai asked, "Mom, why'd you buy so much stuff all of a sudden?"
Shikamaru chimed in, "Yeah, and all this food—why get so much at once?"
Temari frowned. "We're running out of supplies. When are you two going to start caring about household chores? If you don't like how I do things, then why don't you go shopping yourselves?"
Her tone was firm and laced with genuine irritation.
Though Shikamaru couldn't sense the deeper resentment in her words, he quickly backed down. "No complaints here. I trust you completely to manage the house. Shikadai, let's go play shogi."
"Okay, Dad, let's go."
The father and son duo left the room without a second thought, their easygoing attitudes shielding them from Temari's underlying frustration. Shikamaru had briefly entertained suspicions about Temari's recent behavior, but her pointed remarks left him feeling guilty, prompting his retreat.
Handling household matters was just too troublesome!
After they left, Temari's stern expression faded, replaced by a weary look. Yoichi had clearly figured out her husband and son's personalities. What should she do now?
Later that night, Shikamaru emerged from the bathroom to find Temari already in bed, her back turned to him as she faced the wall.
Feeling a pang of guilt, he reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Temari, it's been a while since we—"
"Just go to sleep, Shikamaru. I'm not feeling well. You've got a lot on your plate lately, so get some rest."
"Oh... right. Yeah, I should rest," Shikamaru replied awkwardly, withdrawing his hand and settling into bed.
...
The next morning, Yoichi woke early. Today marked the start of their journey to Iwagakure, a trip originally scheduled for two weeks later. However, Iwagakure had suddenly invited representatives from the other Great Nations to arrive earlier.
The Tsuchikage planned to host a Five Kage Summit, likely to discuss pressing matters. Yoichi intended to seize this opportunity to acquire valuable materials from the otherworldly beast corpses and return to Konoha as soon as possible.
At the train station, Yoichi was greeted by Sakura, who was carrying her luggage. Handing him his ticket, she explained, "This is your seat, Yoichi-kun."
"Are you coming too, Sakura?" Yoichi asked, surprised.
"I've got some matters to settle with Iwagakure, so I need to be there in person," she replied succinctly, offering no further details.
Understanding her discretion, Yoichi refrained from pressing further. He boarded the train, found his seat, and settled in for a quiet rest.
As the train began its journey, Yoichi noticed Sakura stealing glances at him from her seat diagonally opposite. He remained unmoved, keeping his eyes closed in feigned rest.
Among the women of Konoha, Sakura was arguably the most challenging to approach. While she shared Ino's emotional tendencies, her unwavering loyalty to her marriage made her an insurmountable obstacle.
Still, her beauty and unique charm—combining the cuteness of her youth with the elegance of maturity—made her difficult to ignore.
For now, Yoichi decided to wait, focusing his efforts on solidifying his relationship with Ino. Once her trust was fully secured, he might use her as a means to influence Sakura.
Meanwhile, his Tenseigan clone was working tirelessly to accelerate the expansion of his enterprises.
The telecommunications company was now fully operational, with factories and equipment in place. The infrastructure for communication across the ninja world was advanced, but the lack of mobile devices created a gap Yoichi was perfectly positioned to fill.
At his business office, Yoichi's Tenseigan clone gathered three directors from his recently acquired film companies.
"Director Wada, Director Oyama, and Director Morishita, what are your plans for upcoming productions?"
One by one, the directors outlined their ideas for future projects. However, the clone's expression remained cold, making them increasingly uneasy.
"Change them."
The clone's voice cut through the room like a blade. "From now on, there will be only one theme for your productions."
"But, sir—"
"Is there a problem?"
The clone's gaze was piercing, leaving no room for negotiation. As with all investments, the one holding the purse strings had the final say.
"No... no problem at all," the directors stammered, nodding reluctantly.
"Good. Make it the best it can be. I'll personally reward five million ryo for outstanding work."
With no choice but to comply, the directors left the meeting, bewildered by Yoichi's decision to dictate the theme. Still, they dared not question him further—there were countless others in the ninja world eager to secure his investments.
