Naruto: "Not even sadness is allowed?"
Nobita: "But that's the death of a comrade!"
Jiraiya: "You kids might not understand now, but you need to realize that this is the choice of the one involved. What we can do is give our best and not hold them back."
Sisyphus: "The most important thing in life is to live without regrets. If they've found peace with their decision, then we shouldn't dwell in sorrow but carry their will forward."
Naruto, Nobita, and the younger ones struggled to grasp the sentiment but began to process it slowly.
Dan: "They're incredible! It'd be such a shame if Sanji died like this!"
Cardia: "Hahaha! Both Zoro and Sanji are fascinating! If only they were in the same world!"
Rhadamanthys: "Weak as they may be, they're respectable as warriors."
Tony Stark: "I don't get it. Why not win and survive?"
Steve Rogers: "Because not everyone can survive the battlefield. That's why such resolve exists. Stark, is it hard to understand?"
Tony Stark: "Yeah, it is."
Loki: "I find it hard to understand as well. After all, it's easy to preach when it's not your life on the line."
Elsheed: "That sounds like something a coward would say."
Loki: "What did you just say?"
Thor: "Don't insult my brother! He might seem cowardly, but, well... he can be brave at times!"
Loki: "If you're going to defend me, do it without hesitation!"
Thanos: "For an ant, they're amusing, but their resolve pales compared to mine."
Orochimaru: "Resolve, shmresolve. Such boring nonsense."
Daigo: "They're not boring! They're great warriors!"
Orochimaru: "Hmph."
Meanwhile, Sanji continued his relentless assault on the Thousand-Winged Angel's feathers. At this moment, his unleashed power rivaled even Luffy's Gear 5 form. Each kick created devastating air blasts, scattering feathers across the lake, reducing their numbers as much as possible.
"This pain... so unbearable! Is this the side effect of opening all Eight Gates? It feels like my body is evaporating!"
Sanji's entire being screamed in agony, every part of him on the verge of collapse. Yet, for the sake of his crew, he refused to fall.
As Sanji fought, he noticed a change in his body. The unbearable pain began to subside, replaced by a strange heat radiating from him. Flames covered his body, yet he felt no discomfort.
"What's happening? Why does my body feel like it's changing?"
Though puzzled, Sanji had no time to dwell on it and resumed his attack.
Meanwhile, Robin controlled her flying swords to attack the feathers. She knew they would be consumed upon impact, so she adjusted her strategy. Guiding her swords to collide mid-air, she created noise to draw the feathers' attention away from Zoro and Brook, ensuring they could proceed unnoticed.
Zoro: "Brook! Are you ready?"
Brook: "Completely in sync with this child now!"
Brook raised his Yellow Spring Apostle, nodding firmly.
"Good. Then let's begin!"
Zoro: "All life is suffering; I am Ashura, severing all bonds. Ashura!"
Brook: "Guide the soul, connect to the Yellow Spring, lead to rebirth. Yellow Spring Apostle!"
Both their Zanpakuto activated, emanating eerie purple-black and pale blue lights respectively.
Brook's Yellow Spring Apostle, originally resembling a sword-cane, transformed into a massive, pitch-black scythe emitting an icy aura.
Zoro's Ashura grew larger, enveloped in a menacing black energy that instilled fear in anyone who dared approach, as though a grim reaper's gaze was upon them.
Zoro: "Three-Sword Style: One Thousand Eight Hundred Troubles Phoenix!"
Brook: "Rebirth Incantation: Netherworld Slash!"
Two distinct waves of sword energy shot toward the lake—a spiraling, slaughtering purple-black aura and a chilling, pale blue slash.
The feathers covering the lake had already been blown away by Sanji's air blasts, leaving the path clear for their attacks.
The two energy waves hit the lake simultaneously, the pale blue energy instantly freezing its surface into solid ice.
The moment the attack landed, the lake trembled violently. Cracks appeared on the frozen surface, shattering into countless pieces.
All the feathers in the area began to quiver uncontrollably, some falling to the ground as their numbers diminished.
From beneath the lake came an eerie, pain-filled wail, a sound so horrifying it chilled everyone to their core.
"Uuuuugh!"
The terrifying sound pierced through the air, causing immense discomfort to everyone.
Nami: "Ahhh! What is this noise?"
She clutched her ears in agony, unable to block out the sound. It felt as though her brain was being drilled into.
Zoro and Brook, closest to the lake, endured the worst of it. Their vision blurred as they forced themselves to look at the lake—and froze in horror.
A pair of bloodshot eyes glared at them from the lake's surface, as if peering directly into their souls. The gaze carried an overwhelming sense of doom, as though a primordial force of nature was scrutinizing them.
Their bodies felt like they were burning alive, a sensation of being consumed by fire. Along with the searing pain came a deep, instinctual terror, the kind humanity had faced when confronted with the sheer, uncontrollable power of nature.
Zoro: "Aaaagh!"
He roared, and suddenly, the sensation vanished. The eyes were gone, leaving only rippling water and silence.
However, floating in the center of the lake was a pair of massive wings, tightly folded together. Feathers scattered all around, and though the wind howled, no new feathers appeared.
It seemed, at last, the battle had calmed.
