imo the only actual issue with the show is the live meta-analysis. Talking on the show about whether the episode is good or the last one was, whether this or that is funny, talking about host etiquette, referring to bits as bits out loud to the point that fans are discussing comedy formats etc in the chat. Having a 'segment' or two is as far as that should go. Most of the issues that crop up stem from this I think. Leave all that for twitter and discord.

I haven't really kept up with the show all that much. When I do listen to it, I do so because the format is still great after all these years, and because the back-and-forth is (or was) entertaining to me. I just don't care about all this internet bloodsports bullshit at all or any of the side-characters involved in it. I don't even know who's in the right in this because, as said, I don't follow shit as closely anymore, but if this is all the show is gonna be then I guess I can just wait for Turkey Tom to make a documentary on it in like 6 months. At this point, this shit is straight-up painful to witness and it bums me out, and that's not what I want out of a comedy podcast.

Riley is only funny because Dick explains what he did in a way that is actually funny. Vito might have reacted poorly, but at least he brings something better than autistic screeching to the table.

This show fucking sucked. Dick constantly bringing up the unfunny duo of mint and Riley. The bits were funny when they pointed out Vito being disingenuous. Vito team guy, super killer never coming out, his weird obsession with parasocial relationships and his constant shilling. I don't like the conflict in this episode or the way Dick is treating Vito. Vito's missteps should be forgiven. Vito is stressed. He's not crazy. He isn't going to explode and go after people. I just subscribed in the hopes I would get to see a normal episode this Friday and a potential bonus episode. I want my chill podcast back. I look forward to it every week. You guys really do have good chemistry most of the time.

Un-Patroned TDS because of how Dick acted those last 10 minutes. This whole Riley/Mint arc is annoying, and it's painful how much he's shoving the drama into the episode. I have no idea why Dick's so obsessed with protecting them. Worst part is they're not funny, and he's dogpiling the one comedian who is funny and has great chemistry with him.

"Arcs" throughout TDS + Biggest Problem get serious momentum then fade. Like that awful Facebook moderator guy from way back in 2017, the shows move past arcs that aren't funny enough to continue. There is nothing compelling about this Riley/Vito beef, outside of a mediocre 'hypocrite who can't dish it out criticism' angle, and there's not enough goodwill from Riley's great Eric July arc to warrant a full stop show cancellation. Vito is still the best talent for this show, and there should be a way for it to continue. If that means Dick + Vito find a funny way to close out this fracas and move on, they should.
