Nerds, the whole point of the Klingons background was to reinforce the need for the Prime Directive because the Federation uplifted them and gave them space tech when they encountered the Klingon home world. It’s kind of an argument against the melting pot now that I think of it

Pretty sure that's not correct, let me get my fedora, though there might be normal ST inconsistencies so we might be both right, in the movie Undiscovered Country that old Klingon laments the fact that Klingon Society devolved into warrior culture. Originally Klingons had great scientists, artists, philosophers, law etc but they became more warlike and started emphasize Warrior Honor over everything else, maybe based on Japanese history as the original Klingons were based on Imperial Japan, and in Undiscovered Country they are basically "nazis" very hamfisted.

National Healthcare system sucks as much as insurance healthcare, I pay 36% income tax and over half of that is to pay for fat people checkups. Healthcare should be like buying any other service or product, you pay for it when you need it, no insurance, no subsidies. The market fixes the price, supply and demand you morons.
