As promised on my discord server, here are some mockups for two game ideas I had and wanted to draw out.

The first is 'Bold Adventures, which is supposed to be a survival sandbox game. It's pretty much inspired by "Minecraft, but with kobolds and isometric"

(Top right, mostly)

The idea is, that you build a place for yourself and others, process resources from surround you and have fun together. It's really not that developed, honestly.

Another idea for it, would be more a Stardew Valley approach maybe, where you build a small town, with other kobold characters moving in, with you.

One I commit to this idea, I will develop it further, but for now, it's just a way to have something a bit fresh and to keep me motivated.

The other idea is "Kobold Home", where you take the role of a dragon, who tries to buld a home for your kobolds, to gain a big hoard of gold.

It's probably a mix of RTS (real-time strategy), survival and such, with an isometric/block based map. The idea came from Settlers II (BlueByte 1996), which I played a lot as a kid. The problem though, was that I never really liked the RTS parts of it and wanted to build things and watch things happening. I loved the economy building in it though.

So "what if Settlers 2, but with kobolds and you actually concentrate on making things nice for your 'bolds?"

Also I am planning to take more elements from the RTS part maybe.

Again, this will be more developed, once I actually commit to it.
For now I am going to focus on Crysalis.

Also, both games will be done in my own game engine. I am planning to use MonoGame (A game framework), to build it.
The reason is simple: GameMaker Studio 2 (the engine I use currently) doesn't support isometric and 3D stuff very well (it wasn't built for it). So, instead I rather build my own, custom engine, to properly handle what I need.

Pretty much, I want to treat the world as a 3D cube, full of cubes (blocks), then render everything in isometric (with hand made pixel art)
