because you asked: some of us care VERY deeply about the Benedict storyline. we're sick of queerbating and it's important to us to see proper representation and our boy Benny being done justice. also, it sets up his season ;) it is rather funny how they cut up his scene and just sprinkled it inbetween the Whistledown drama, though. I kept giggling - those other Bridgertons have some real problems and here is Benedict, having a great time for a few days straight, it seems :D

I share your sentiments! Like many others, I’ve been waiting for Benedict’s storyline of exploring his sexuality to continue since season 1. I‘m happy that they didn’t leave us hanging, but the editing of his “fun time” in episode 8 left something to be desired. I was dying of laughter every time they cut from something serious happening to Benedict getting it on with Lady Arnold & Paul. 😂

Yes, and yes! But I think that was kinda the point. They teased S04 being his season, so he needed to end S03 slightly dissatisfied and uncertain where to go from here. Tilly ending things with him felt very natural to me, because I've made similar decisions in my life.

And I also totally agree about the cuts - they were ridiculous. In fact, I would have preferred a 6-minute trupple sex scene like the Polin one we got in ep.5. Cutting from the Cressida bullshit*t to Benny all the time was distracting :D

Couldn't agree more! I think a 6 minute throuple scene at the end of episode 7 would've been perfect. Episode 8 could've picked up with the scene where they're talking in bed afterwards.

yes! that sounds perfect :D realistically, though, I am not sure that our society has reached the point where we can have that conversation respectfully. remember how honest the scene in ep. 5 was, and how detailed? the closest cinema has gotten to that in recent years when it comes to queer scenes was in Red, White and Royal Blue and I remember being shocked at how much actual communication there was in that scene :D explaining how a throuple works to the audience might have just been too much, so we just got the highlights :D maybe in S08 of the show, hopefully. I can definitely see Hyacinth being as open-minded as her brother one day :D
