Aw Better Call Saul on Youtube would've been nice, it's moderately popular and the fanbase is quite dedicated. Is Siobhan not gonna join you for this one?

JK Reacts

Nahh she was not interested lol we work opposite schedules so there's only a few shows we can watch together

As a heads up: if you don't have at least a five minute review after the finale with your thoughts on the season, the show overall, if you think what, if anything has been supernatural, your favourite characters and their journey etc., I'm gonna collect some scraps, build a plane, fly over to the USA, find your house, punch you in the nuts and run away because I don't wanna get beat up.

JK Reacts

There's a fair to good chance my rant after the show is done will be longer than the show itself lol

The beach ball scene is one of my absolute favourites. Always makes me wanna hug Nora :<

Oof. This episode. The writing is so good here with all the allegory that fits each character remarkably well. This is always a tough one to get through even knowing all the plot beats along the way. Rewatching it is pretty rewarding because there are a lot of little nods to Laurie getting her affairs in order to commit suicide that you don't notice on the original pass: the way she looks off vacantly when Nora's telling the scuba story takes on a new dimension, her remorse while leaving Nora and Matt is far more definitive in retrospect, her last conversation with John is her way of giving him permission to move on, and then giving the lighter to Kevin so he "doesn't forget her." You know shit's gotten bad when the rational character of the cast takes the nose dive. I can't wait to see the final two reactions soon. You're definitely going to be surprised lol.

Not a spoiler but the series finale is IMO one of the best series finales.

Two things: 1) I take Nora's beach ball story to be a deathbed regret of sorts. She's spent her life bursting people's bubbles, denying them their delusions, and now that she's possibly indulging her own, or possibly about to die, she's asking, "Why did I do that? Why couldn't I just let them be?" And Laurie, who has played a similar role in her life, says, basically, we're the gatekeepers. We have to. (I'd be interested to hear other takes, but that's my own.) 2) Today's Special was a tv show in Canada, TV Ontario, I think. It's opening credits has the same silhouetted star people as The Leftovers.
