The Haunting of Bly Manor is based on the book "The Turn of the Screw" about a governess taking care of two kids at a remote mansion in England. The characters have no relation to this season, although many of them will be portrayed by the same acting team.

An amazing 10-hours of television. Such a good story and so well done. The second season is using some of the same actors from what I've read but it is another contained story. Great reactions from you both!

I just read the other day that it will also take themes and story lines from other stories by Henry James. Only thing that makes me kinda nervous is that Mike Flannigan is not directing it.

I'm so happy to have taken this journey with you guys and got to see your reactions. Mike Flanagan (show runner, writer/director) said in his commentary track that he always felt this was more like a 10 hour movie than a show. So if that's the case I feel like this was Mike's opus. I do love his other films and if you guys ever get a chance to I highly recommend watching Absentia, Oculus, Hush, Oujia: Origin Of Evil, Gerald's Game, and Doctor Sleep. I believe you can find Hush, Gerald's Game, and Before I Wake on Netflix. And of course you can Doctor Sleep on DVD/Blu-ray and for rent on Amazon and other streaming platforms.

My love for the ending of this show grows every time I see it. Freaking beautiful. Thankfully I was alone this time watching this full reaction because I was weeping like a little girl, even though I am 41 year old married man, the whole time. Theo saying sorry that our last words were in anger hits me hard but the one that hits deepest is Liv saying that Luke was knocking on death's door for years and years and years.
