Howdy!
The first update centered on mechanics is here. It's truly the first real beta release as I'm pretty scared of everything that can break with it. There's just that much new code that could break!

First of all, there's the new UI for the club management. There are now different career paths for all the girls! The career paths themselves are not yet fully done... The specialization jobs are yet to be implemented, but I will do that for the next update. Promise.
Club report screen that occurs every night/morning has been redone. It probably won't stay as ugly as this, but I'm too exhausted to make it pretty right now. If you have some snazzy suggestions on how it could/should look, let me know :D God knows I could use some extra brain capacity to use on other matters.
Rooms can now be upgraded and they each have different room-specific perks you can buy. This screen should also be prettified...but hey, it's working! There's really A TON of work that's gone into the update. I know it can be a bit hard to see since most of it is happening behind the stage. If you are someone who likes unpacking RenPy games, you can take a peek at the code from this version and previous version and witness the madness (and strokes of genius that allowed me to optimize stuff!).
Changelog (Hotfix 1):
- Girls will now continue gaining XP even when you switch them to a new job
- Club rank level up 2 will no longer crash
- Some club events might've sometimes appeared as available when they were in fact not so, and it lead to a hard crash. This should not happen anymore
Changelog:
- A new and (hopefully) improved Club management and nightly report menus
- Hostesses can now be assigned new jobs once they reach Novice level 3
- As a direct result, the hostesses actually gain job experience
- The club rank can now go up! It still doesn't really affect anything, but it will soon enough
- There is a new customer system that randomizes customers for each night, and new customers can be unlocked via progressing in the game, and in the future, by building certain rooms/upgrades
- Rooms can be upgraded and each upgrade level gives you an upgrade point that can be spent on room-specific perks
- Club simulation has been completely rewritten from scratch
- What happens in the club each night depends on the girls, their jobs, which customers visit the club and various other mysterious factors
- Each event will result in stat changes for the girls and possibly reputation and money for you!
- A couple new research options to help level grind
- Under-the-hood optimizations and code refactoring via JSONs and enums and more!
- No new scenes for the story or any of the girls, sorry. I warned you the next updates were focused on mechanics :/
