Though it's a reboot in the sense that you don't need to watch prior seasons, it does take place after the prior series. I saw the first episode during FIRST Night and there are a couple of returning characters so minor spoilers abound.

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend watching until you’ve caught up, it’s not a full reboot, more spiritual I guess, so there will be returning characters and possibly references to previous seasons
