It’s all for one and one for all on the first movie to star Mickey Mouse, Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers. In this review, I’ll be looking to how Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy can carry their own feature film after being Disney’s biggest icons for decades. Maybe The Three Musketeers is what Mickey needs to prove that he can be more than a corporate mascot for the Walt Disney Company.

I Have A Strong Hunch That "The Secret Of NIMH" Is Next. Right?

From all the DTV films from Disneytoon, it's finally nice to put them in place for one of their greater films in their library! Not a fantastic one, but still I'm happy that Disneytoon didn't screw up the characters in this one. I never really looked at Mickey being "Just the Mascot" I always did look at him as an Iconic character as much others like SpongeBob and Bugs Bunny. It's more that whoever is in charge of the character may depend on how they would interpret them.

I remember this was actually a movie I used to watch a lot back when I was a kid back when I owned the VHS tape of it, and I honestly think this movie still holds up pretty well even after all these years and is a solid adaptation of the Three Musketeers story. I do think the story stays true to the original source material even though it does feel cheesy it does a good job incorporating the classic Disney characters in there, the animation is pretty good looking and definitely is one of the better looking animated films from DisneyToon Studios, the characters while they don’t have much to them, stay true to they were in the classic cartoons and all the voice actors provide great performances, and the songs are really fun and enjoyable to listen to, overall this movie is a lot of fun and still holds up after all these years and a pretty solid version of the Three Musketeers story. And I honestly do agree that I honestly do wish Disney could find more ways to actually use Mickey Mouse as a prominent character and have the public not at him as just the corporate mascot of Disney, and Disney has managed to do that before, rather it be in stuff like this, TV shows like the House of Mouse and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, or in video games like in Epic Mickey, and some of these have become favorites over the years, rather it be with The Three Musketeers becoming a cult favorite over the years, the House of Mouse becoming a cult favorite series where even to this day it’s still one of the most demanded shows to be put onto Disney+, or even Epic Mickey gaining a cult following over the years down to the point where very soon it’s going to have a remake, it proves that Disney is capable of using Mickey in different ways so the public don’t just view him as the corporate mascot of Disney. So it appears the next classic review is going to be The Secret of NIMH, easily Don Bluth’s best animated film he’s ever done.

I remember watching this in school ages ago. It holds up rather well.

Speaking of the Animation Hat, I regret putting my request in for King of the Hill’s “Uh-Oh, Canada”. After watching Squirrel Tactics’ review, I realized that episode was not good.

Mat, I think you earned that next review. (The Secret of NIMH)

Well checking the comments before watching the video (which I’ll be doing course) and “oh god it’s finally happening!” regarding the next review.

It was decent as a kid but it been a long time since I seen this movie so at least I was able to watch it again. The Secret of NIMH is definitely worth making a review out of so I can’t wait to hear about this.

Man, I use to watch this movie a lot when it came out on DVD back in the 2000's.
