The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in a brand-new movie called Mutant Mayhem with the help of Seth Rogen. In this review, we’ll see if the heroes in a half-shell can be half as better than their last animated film.

Personally I would say I’m more of a casual TMNT fan mostly through watching the 2012 series, but this ended up being a great movie and a great addition to the Ninja Turtles franchise, while I will admit the story isn’t the best and is a bit predictable, the animation is extremely well done and has that Spider-Verse style, and the characters stay true to who they are while giving them a nice update. Overall this is definitely one of the better TMNT movies we’ve gotten and definitely one of the most unique incarnations of the Turtles we’ve gotten that both old and new fans can get into. Also without spoiling anything, the movie does have a mid credit scene which does tease a sequel, and considering Paramount has already announced they are making both a sequel and TV series based on Mutant Mayhem, this isn’t the last we’ll see of this incarnation of the Turtles.

I’m surprised you managed to make a review that quick. Unless it because of early screenings over on Saturday July, 29th, then it would make sense. I’m planning on seeing it today so I can to give my full thoughts on social media but it sounds like it is worth the hype for the most part. I’m not a diehard Turtles fan but I do enjoy them casual. The 1990 film and few episodes of 2003 4Kids series before finally watching the whole series as a whole is what got me introduced with the Turtles and I thought those were the best ones of the franchise. I can’t say much for the 80s and 2012 CG series as I have yet to watch it but I’ll get around eventually. As for the rest, the sequels to the 90 film were fun dumb like second film but really bad when it comes to the third film. The 2007 film was not good either as despite watching a couple times as a kid and I thought the Michael Bay produced movies were mostly bad either. Also, I thought the Rise series were decent including the Netflix movie that does feature some awesome moments. Hearing this version of the Turtles got sounds like it good left me a good sigh of relief as I was hoping to be good by the time I watch it. Glad that it is good!

While I’m also not the biggest TMNT fan, I also do have my own personal experiences with the franchise through the 2003 series, the 2012 CGI series and, yes, even the live-action Michael Bay films. So I might give this a watch when it comes to Netflix. I do have an elder brother that’s a fan so he’ll definitely have fun with this. At there’s one positive thing to take away from this: At least this time you won’t have Diego Stoutart Gleeson criticizing you for criticizing the story of TMNT: Mutant Mayham like he did with your review of the Super Mario Bros. Movie since you’ve blocked him.

Good review Mat, and also, thank you for giving that disclaimer in the beginning about the strike and to give awareness and how to help.
