The other day when I put up the preview of Side Dishes and talked about why I've made the change to Patreon, and a few more people were nice enough to start donating too. It was pretty cool, and part of me thinks if I talked about that kind of stuff more often I would be able to help encourage more donations, but I also don't want everything I say to be "hey, give me money".
