I had a slight scare earlier because, while working on this page my computer froze up and when I rebooted the PSD file had been corrupted and wouldn't load correctly. However, whenever I work on these pages I send the inks to CGI to do the flat colors first, so when he sends them back I end up with a copy of the file in my downloads folder. Normally I transfer it to my work folder (to keep my downloads from getting cluttered), but a common thing for me to do is work on the page immediately and forget to transfer the file. So I had the figures completely shaded before I remembered, so I saved a second copy to my  work folder and didn't take the time to delete the duplicate copy in my downloads.

After I had the figures shaded I did a decent amount of work on the page; getting the background shaded, mostly, and getting the highlights started when I had the computer freeze. I panicked for a little while trying to figure out how to open the file, especially since Photoshop was able to display a preview of the page, but it still couldn't actually open it. However, I finally remembered that I had the second copy in my downloads folder lol to be honest I lost more time trying to get the corrupted file open than I lost in terms of work that I had to redo. This is just one of those unfortunate problems with working digitally... it's rare, but when you produce a comic page every single day the odds of something like this eventually happening are pretty high.
