18-12 (Patreon)

For a long time there was really no way to defend against people who sign up for our Patreon to gain access to the Patron-exclusive content, then immediately cancel their pledge. I understand some people sign up for Patreon, then the end of the month comes and they realize they don't have any spare money. But I'm talking about people who pretty blatantly have no intention of following up on their pledge. Recently, though, Patreon has changed their system to allow Patreon users to ban patrons. So I'm making it a policy now to ban patrons who repeatedly create false pledges... I do want to be careful with it, though. I don't want to ban someone who maybe doesn't quite understand how Patreon works, or is just having some kind of problem. But I am able to see which patrons have failed to ever finalize a pledge, and especially who have pledged multiple times to our Patreon in the past. So, to any repeat offenders... well, i guess find a workaround.
