So, with this the 4th chapter of Shortcake is finished. I hope you've all enjoyed this fun little Star Wars story.

I've got something I would like to ask everyone... what do you think about taking a break from Shortcake for a little while, but producing two pages of Side Dishes a week? I kind of feel like Shortcake has accomplished a lot of what it was meant to do. But it also doesn't seem to get as many comments per page, and there were less total votes on the last poll for Shortcake than there was for Side Dishes. I'm considering maybe alternating them... doing Side Dishes for  one chapter, and Shortcake for another. Anyway, nothing's set in stone right now, and I'm planning to at least take next Saturday off, so that's plenty of time for us to discuss this and maybe set up a poll. But I"m also open to just any suggestions anyone might have.


Speaking of polls, there's barely enough time to get in some more votes on the setting for the next chapter of Side Dishes.

Well...Shortcakes have been very good (as usual ^^), but they were intended as a sort of "promotional art" to get more patrons in...so if you feel they have accomplished a lot of what they were meant to do, I'm very happy with 2 weekly pages of SD :). In fact I prefer longer stories and moreover some ideas for Shortcakes can be transferred into Side Dishes as well, if the patrons should vote for it ofc ^^ P.S. Great page once more :)

I think your side dishes sories should definitely take priority. Shortcakes are great and I would love to see more should you have time and inspiration; but if you are willing to take on more than one ongoing comic (creamcake, 2-II, 3) at once I think it would be great.

TDDS knows my thoughts on the matter, still I will repeat it here and see what others think. Mainly I propose a format change and rebranding for sidedishes, Super Sized Dishes or something like that. 2 pages a week 1 vote a fortnight making it 4 pages per vote, the story will go back to being a longer one, The only rule about suggestions is that they take all other events into account, this is to make the story less random. You can obviously discuss and suggest ammendments and minor changes from page to page between votes as this has always been the case, but they will be suggestions and up to TDDS if they are acted upon. I think doing things this way will keep the story consistant, give TDDS time to properly apply the idea's to the art and produce a better comic over all. The pages for the current system are sometimes needlessly awkward due to having to fit an idea on a single page. I even proposed after the first month (8 pages) of the new SSD posting it every friday on the main site as every month that passes pulls SSD's a month ahead anyway and it pulls the main comic ahead a page a week.. Still that really is pushing it I think xD So what do you all think? it is a big change but I do think it will result in a higher quality and more enjoyable product overall.. ;p
