Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 4, episode 7 of Demon Slayer! Dang guys, I was not expecting that ending!!! Not to mention that Himejima's backstory is so sad - I knew it would be heartbreaking once I saw all the kids, but I wasn't expecting the twist about the betrayal :/ I'm glad he found something pure and wonderful in Tanjiro! And WOW, here we freaking go, Kibutsuji is storming down the gates, literally!!!! That slow walk up to the door was just way too freaking good! I guess this is where we get to implement all that training....please everyone be okay!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Since I have delayed my return to Kimetsu no Yaiba, I never watch this episode. But I guess you meaning the scene where Kibutsuji Muzan walking menacingly with powerful aura right? Someone on the internet has edited it so he move backward and put Michael Jackson song there instead. It's fit so well! Also, I heard that this entire Hashira Training arc was created from only 2 pages of manga. I never read Kimetsu no Yaiba manga, so I won't know. But if it's true, this will be a very long expanding. Is this a work of enemy... or friendly stand user? Talking about Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle, it is the beetle that appears in Kamen Rider franchise many times! The most famous of all, the motif of Kamen Rider Kabuto! It is also a main Vistamp of Kamen Rider Vail from Revice!

Before I share my thoughts I need to say happy birthday to Natsuki Tanae, who is Tanjiro’s seiyuu. 🎉 By the way it occurred to me you’re certainly watching a lot of stuff with um… ripped guys this week? XD You know given who Genya’s seiyuu is I had the thought during the scrap of I wonder what a dispute between Inosuke and Bakugo would look like… XD There indeed is a question of what was in that letter for Zenitsu - nobody except him knows, but it clearly changed SOMETHING. And the others noticed. Okay, so I think you may have put this together but Hamejima views children as equally innocent and cruel, which makes sense giving his backstory. You know, it didn’t occur to me that he was blind until they said it - but. I was wondering about the eyes and why they looked like that. Tanjiro is so honest to a fault that he convinces Hamejima that his best boy demeanor is not an act, and he really is that pure in heart - something that he is able to discern in just about everyone. They say without one of your senses, the others will try and compensate by coming stronger, so he must be pretty good at reading people and their true intentions. “Please tell me nothing happened to the children.” Me: What show do you think this is again? So, one kid broke curfew and to save his own skin, he offered to show the demon into the temple the others were staying at, and he even took down the wisteria barrier Hamejima put up of his own volition. Truly cowardly, he did it to save his own skin. This is one of the reasons Hamejima says children are cruel. The other is that Sayo, the little kid he was protecting, got confused and pointed him out as the murderer - since there was no demon evidence (it burns away in sunlight), there was no proof other than the fact he bloodied the demon all night. That’s sad, but I was thinking maybe the kid was turned instead. Either way, another tragic backstory is par for the course on this show, right? Now, I can’t actually take credit for this but it was posted up in the anime news feed I follow, and I am wondering if it has any bearing on what’s going on: the kid who betrayed the others was the same one who was berating Zenitsu in S1 during HIS flashback and saying his teacher was wasting his time trying to train him. It’s a small world. So we’ve moved on to Gigi for water training, but boy Sanemi holds a grudge. And red bean Michu doesn’t seem to lighten his mood. Oh by the way you feel any different about the Water Hashira knowing it’s Rohan? (Hey that training fight was actually Rohan Vs Pucci now that I think about it…) Sanemi was looking for the Serpent and Mist Hashira, who seem to be out, but I think he’s the first to snag an eyeball - but he’s realized too late that the master’s location was compromised. The big problem is I think all of the Hashira are away from the Master’s place at the moment - the only one who might be an exception is Shinobu… That walk-up scene is just spine chilling. 🥶 🥶 🥶 Say what you want about Kibutsuji - the dude sure knows how to make an entrance. Also, we sure like to use upside down angles around him a lot. I also noticed this THIS particular time but his shadow is literally walking throughout the entire ending animation sequence if you go back and look at it. This time he decided to walk slow enough to play the full song. As far as the Master’s chances go, I do actually have a bad feeling about this… Doing a quick search, the Japanese TV network carrying the show says next week’s episode is 60 minutes in length so plan your filming schedule accordingly. I’m not sure if that’s before or after commercial breaks though. I have to go, the Wind Hashira is getting really mad (again!) 👀

Wow what an end. We were just having fun with the idea of mochis and then bam! A long time coming and it came so quickly! I wonder what’ll happen. 🫢 Man, so the first kid was so scared he sold out the others. Oof that definitely gives insight into Himejima’s mindset. He’s such a good guy. I bet he doesn’t want to hold a grudge against them even the one that gave away the others but still feels betrayed in some way. He just wanted his actions to be acknowledged. That sucks. :( But I’m glad Tanjiro gave him hope. Oh idk about Zenitsu but omg what if it has something to do with using his technique for Muzan’s arrival?! 😱

I know! It was out of nowhere, even though it really has been a long time coming! It really does show you how he must perceive the world, it's so sad that the kids did that! I'm sure he doesn't hold a grudge but the betrayal/distrust is totally still there. Poor guy :( I'm guessing the letter has something to do with that!!! That's all I can really think of!

Lol yes!!! Total menacing aura! HAHAHHA I wanna see the MJ edit1 Whoa, 2 pages?! Dang, they stretched it out quite a bit! Hmmm, could be the work of an enemy stand user :P That's so funny about the rhinoceros beetle, I've noticed it's kind of a recurring motif!!!

Well, Kimetsu no Yaiba did share several idea with both Jojo and Kamen Rider after all, or might even include Super Sentai. You see, those demons are like Vampires and Zombies in Jojo. And the character on the back of Demon Slayer uniform is Metsu, mean Destruction or Destroy. That's the same character as Horobi from Metsuboujinrai. And I see that Tanjirou have some gimmick about upgrading his power from water breathing to sun breathing. However, that would be too few power up, so I think it's fit Super Sentai gimmick instead. It's usually only red (or the main protagonist) who got upgrade form.

There's one time when Kimetsu no Yaiba's first movie come out, that an artist online drew a comic of Zero-One's character (as of after the finale) try to mimic Kimetsu no Yaiba's characters, like Izu having Nezuko's bamboo, Horobi has the "Metsu" character written on his back, and when Aruto try to discuss this with Yaiba, she reject and tell him that "My name is not Yaiba, it's (KNY logo)". Quite funny one.

Oh happy bday to him! LOL it's a good week when there's lots of ripped guys to watch! Inosuke and Bakugo would be the match of the century! Yeah I thought the same thing about the eyes - like I hadn't thought about it but was kinda wondering about the eyes. I love that he found someone as pure hearted as Tanjiro. LOL I must've forgotten what show I was watching! It's heartbreaking to see what the two kids did. This was tragic on another level! OHHHHH no kidding that was the same kid!!!! OMG we totally got Rohan vs. Pucci didn't we haha! It was crazy watching the whole thing unfold with Kibutsuji and the Wind Hashira discovering it. Oof, yeah, having all the Hashira away is not a good thing. He for real made an entrance, it was so chilling!! OMG I have to go back and rewatch it to see what you mean!! I think your bad feeling is warranted. 60 minutes sounds about right, tbh I'm not sure how we'll wrap things up in even that extended time! Well, time to go bring him some mochi!

I think that the little girl actually mean the demon, but she just so frak out that she couldn't use words well. She might not even know about Demon. All she saw is that big old guy murdering her friends, and her teacher brutally assault him. I believe that's not what she really want to convey, just that no one understand. Reminded me of a one-shot I read before. A serial killer who was once brutally assault several women and kill them slowly and mercilessly because of mentally issues. After he was freed from the cell, he try living right. He became a butcher. Even so, he have to try so hard to not doing what he want when he see women. One day, he meet a little girl who seems to runaway from her home. The girl stay with the butcher for a while to the point that people think she's his granddaugther or something. But then, her mother come to pick her up. At first, it seems like nothing, but after she away from the butcher sight, she start to hit her daughter angrily. That when the butcher, who couldn't hide his instinct anymore, came in. He abducted the mother, trying to enjoy torturing his prey like he did before, but after the first hit, he realize that this doesn't satisfying him anymore, so he immediately kill the mother and went to see the police to surrender. The little girl seems at first scare of him, but soon come to pay a visit for him when she grow up, right before his final meal before execution. It was implied that because the warden asked him what do he want to eat. One thing that show off how he change is a series of drawing. I believe the girl might like to draw, and that the butcher also want to try when he is in prison. As of days before his last day living, he was able to produced a portrait of the little girl, which is placed somewhere like a gallery. Quite a sad and wholesome one. Come to think of it, I think this is the first time I see Giyu smile. I think I don't remember seeing him do so. Also, in the last episode where he call Tanjiro name when they are all transported to the Infinite Castle, there was a meme of all Hashira who heard his shout thinking "Wait, he can be this emotional?" Well, if Muzan never invade, I think Tanjiro could speak with other for how Giyu was before. Maybe with Shinobu first, since it seems that she pretty close to him. There is a spin-off of Giyu after what happened to Kamado family where he went on a mission which Shinobu happened to be there as well. Why it has to be Shinobu? If it wasn't because she make a great vibe with him!

I know, it's so tragic how she interpreted it!! WOW that story is really interesting and messed up and surprisingly kind of wholesome in the end!! I think you're right about the smile! Oooh interesting about the spin-off! Very interesting indeed!!!
