Hey everyone! WHOA!!! This one was really interesting, action-packed, messed up, etc. lol!!!! I LOVE the Sugar Mountain story and the whole concept of how it works. It was so clever watching Johnny and Gyro try to figure it out!!!! Gyro was so smart! Not to mention we, erm, see a bit more of Gyro than we're used to in this one haha. The test behind the Stand was also really interesting and drove home to me a bit of the deeper meaning of what this story is all about. The next story was so wild, the stuff with Lucy is just getting worse and worse!!! I'm so glad it worked out (thanks Hot Pants for being MVP!!!) but DANG, now she' stuck in an even worse situation, what the heck!!! Can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hey Melissa, I've been looking forward to this review all week as I knew there would be a cool response from you. First off I would like to address Gyro's sexy romance panels. As I've mentioned before, Gyro isn't quite like Jotaro. Because Jotaro would never do what Gyro did. I think Gyro likes women a lot, but he doesn't like to have a close relationship with them. I can imagine that not every woman wants to have anything to do with a person who works as an executioner. I think that's why he usually keeps them at a distance. I also find it very fascinating what the steel balls can do. I mean, like you said, the Zeppelis could do so much better business with the balls. But I don't think that's what they were created for. Which is a real shame. Now I come to Sugar Mountain. This is one of my favorite part 7 arcs. Because like you said, you really only get the real meaning behind the story in these chapters. And the challenge of getting the new body parts is very difficult for Johnny and Gyro. The arc really has so much to offer, from fantastic action, to sad scenes, to comedy, it's all there. And that's why I think the arc is so great. The whole stand concept with the tree is so fascinating because there's really no real user and actually Sugar Mountain, a very tragic character, she really just wants to get back to her parents and so she's had to live in this cave for I don't know how long. And she was basically freed with Johnny and Gyro's help. But we almost had to lose Gyro for that. I also thought at first that Johnny had sacrificed him, but that would have been too out of character for him. I know he really wants the corpse parts, but he would never sacrifice his best friend for them. I'll just come to the part that was probably the most disturbing in this batch. And as I said, Lucy chapters are always some of the best because they're just so exciting and disgusting at the same time. Lucy really has to go through so much that you wouldn't trust a 14-year-old with. I also want to emphasize what you didn't highlight as much in your review, that we have a few more scenes with Lucy and Steven Steel. And that actually shows again how much they really love each other. You'll also soon find out how their relationship came about in the first place. And then I think you'll think a bit differently about Steven Stee Let's move on to Scarlet Valentine. She's really another good LGBTQ character from Araki who really has purpose in the story. And it was really uncomfortable to watch her treat Lucy. Especially when you consider how young Lucy is and that this is actually a stranger and the matter-of-factness with which Scarlett asks Lucy to do things like that is really incomprehensible to me. Sure, she's the wife of the US president, but she can't just take it upon herself to tell a little girl what to do to her sexually. But I believe that Lucy has explicitly prepared herself for this. That's why she read the book in the library, because she probably knew that Scarlett likes women. I could also imagine that she got the hint from Hotpants. Hotpants is really the MVP here because she really thought ahead very well and really gave Lucy some good help with her stand. They were really so close to getting all of Valentine's body parts back. But because Mike O. was so strong with his Stand Tubular Bells (both are a reference to Mike Oldfield) and hurt her so badly, unfortunately they couldn't take all the pieces. Tubular Bells really is a very creative stand that is also very brutal. Considering how painfully you die from it. The concept of this stand is also super unique. Araki has really come up with another great idea. The fact that Lucy now has to stay with Valentine disguised as Scarlet is really very tragic, because you don't know what else Valentine has done with Scarlet. Considering how horny she's been all this time, I don't want to imagine what Lucy has to go through now. I don't think Valentine is such a bad husband now, but it's so hard to really judge him for the way he acts in some things and if he gets even the slightest suspicion, it could end badly for Lucy. The next batch will be a full-on battle arc, but it's still one of the best fights in Part 7 and introduced one of the best side characters you'll grow to love. I can't wait to see how you react!

Not gonna lie seeing Gyro fool around hurt a little. But honestly to be expected from someone like him. But man that steel balls idea is a million dollars business right there. Sugar Mountain is an interesting character. Very cute, very odd. This arc is was entertaining as heck. The story so far has been absolutely nuts so far. In the best way. I’ve just been enjoying it to no end but the question of what exactly is going on with these trials has been in the back of my mind. This whole thing goes deeper than I ever thought possible. Araki really immerses himself in this stuff. The Bible verses thing tripped me out. Kudos for that by the way! Questions still remain but it’s honestly cool and haunting how things are tying together so well. lol the whole ordeal with the money was so entertaining. That’s is such a cruel stand. All that money at your disposal and you can’t use it for personal gain. Not really anyway. I laughed so hard at the casino part. Very funny and quick solution by Gyro. Man he cannot be any more cooler. Obtaining the parts has not been easy and it hasn’t been giving Johnny and Gyro an easy time. And as funny as it was this trial was another example where yeah it’s awful but they overcame it on the other side. They’re kind of getting used to it. Now after all the trouble— to have to hand this new sense of purpose over when Johnny just recently found it was so cruel. Gyro’s his brother. No ay would he have let that happen to him. But man that’s so not fair. Such a cruel stand. 🌳 Okay Scarlett’s a freak. I get we all have are freaky moments but silent foot steps is what does it for her? I’m not sure what to make of that. She’s just bizarre and uncomfortable. The whole thing with Lucy was just hard to bear witness to. 🤢 🤮 Again yes different time I’m sure it was best for both parties to be of the same young age most of the time. But these people just don’t care. It makes me sick to my stomach. Lucy is quick on her feet. Thank goodness but I hate that she has to do all of this. I’m still not really sure what’s going on with Hot Pants but I’m glad to see someone helping out our girl. I hated seeing her do all this by herself. And gosh darn it she’s now First Lady. Mhmh I’m shaking my head. She cannot catch a break. It definitely would be wrong to see her die but the role she’s playing right now worries me. :(

Hey Leonie! Aww thanks! Lol yeah that's where he and Jotaro differ :p I'm sure it would be hard to have a deep and meaningful relationship when most women might have a problem with the whole executioner thing, plus we know Gyro wasn't really raised to be sentimental. It's too bad they don't expand their business with those balls lol!! I couldn't agree more about the Sugar Mountain arc!!! She is quite tragic and I'm glad Johnny and Gyro could ultimately help her. OMG I know, like that's how it was being built up, but Johnny would never! I think so much of the point of this was that even thought he really really wants those corpse parts, he has to be willing to sacrifice anything here, and he did. The Lucy chapters are always so intense but man did it get weird here haha. Oh yeah, I didn't get to say much about that, but we did get a scene or two of them together again, and I know they're being built up as truly caring for each other. It's cool that Araki will include canonically LGBT characters!! Lucy totally went in prepared to do whatever it takes, but wow, the abuse of power here on Scarlet's part was pretty bad! You know what, I started wondering afterwards if that was the reason she read the book in the first place :P It didn't really occur to me the first time around lol. Hot pants is such an MVP here!! I was wondering if it was a reference to that Tubular Bells but I didn't remember the name of the composer, that would've given it away right away haha. It's a brutal but really clever Stand for sure! I'm scared for Lucy!!! So far they don't seem super close as a couple, but they're still married, so ick. And Scarlet was pretty freaky at times as we know lol, so God only knows what kinda stuff she typically gets up to. OMG the next batch was SO good!! Can't wait to share my review on it!!! XD

Ah I totally get that! On the one hand, we got to see him in an *intimate* situation, but on the other hand, it kinda feels wrong when it's so casual :P The steel balls could be the ultimate cosmetic tool!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed Sugar Mountain and this arc! I know, Araki really goes deep into stuff like this! Thank you so much about the Bible quotes, I never get to sound smart so I was proud of myself this time haha! The money thing was so funny and crazy! Isn't that Stand a pain?! Gyro is so awesome, that was some really quick thinking right! I know, the whole thing was so unfair, especially with having to give up the parts. I think it was a big lesson in sacrifice for Johnny, but he's known a lot of sacrifice already, so it's kinda like just beating him down at this point! I was so happy that Lucy at least recovered some of what they lost. And yeah, there's no way Johnny would ever let that happen to Gyro! OMG Scarlet!!! Hahahaha I mean everyone's got their thing but she was being pretty creepy about it here. I'm telling you, she's into foot stuff :P For real, age just really doesn't matter during this time apparently!!!! Lucy was so brave and smart but I agree, I hate this for her! Hot Pants was pretty awesome here, my money's on she's a nun! She's the First Lady now, stuck in this terrifying situation, our poor girl! I hear you, I feel like he wouldn't kill her off but at the same time, she's just walking the line so much here!!!! Total Hayato vibes!!! (Technically he did die once so there you go lol)
