Next few episodes should be crazy.

The title for this episode becomes more appropriate the more you think about it - as you probably recall the theory is a butterfly flaps it’s wings somewhere and it affects the weather across the world somewhere else (see Jurassic Park for more details.) In this case, Spinner’s inspiration to follow Tomura is what got him in the position he’s currently in - in fact, as he’s running through the hospital he’s like “look at everyone behind me!” until he realizes that no one has actually followed him. At the same time, Shoji might as well be the real spokesperson because his words actually got the mob to start thinking - and the doctors just coming together to protect the hospital kind of snapped them out of it - also not to be overlooked here is one of the people standing in front of them all was in fact, another heteromorph. At the same time, Spinner’s move with Shigaraki’s hand is basically what caused Kurogiri to operate without thinking, because according to AFO, there was a microchip implanted in it designed to get him going right away. While we’re in the subject of going, Shoto did ask a solid question: what is going on with Dabi? He really should be… pardon the pun… cooked by now. Yet he’s still going. Then of course, there’s Toga, who was just fine until Twice was killed. Hawks had to make a decision and sometimes heroes don’t get the luxury of time, it was one villain vs the fate of a lot of people - and “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few,” according to a certain sci fi persona. But that choice is what also got them in this position in the first place. So now Toga and Dabi are both after Hawks and Endeavor, but I’m more concerned that Shigaraki might have the option to warp away from Eraser’s Quirk… You ever get the feeling these shonen artists lie awake thinking - what’s the worst thing I could do to this scenario…? 😅 There are six episodes left, the breaks were due to the Olympics taking over the show’s broadcast window while they were on - I’d be pretty surprised if they delayed any more episodes.

The thing that is waaaay clearer in the Anime, is how much of Shirakumo there is to see in Kurogiri (I found it very difficult to make out in the manga 😅) aaaaaand you really should be scared for Hawks and Endeavor..... and pretty much everyone... use the week to think about all the aspects of our fights that could be impacted by TogaTwice (remember, there were 8 battlefields, but now with Dabi leaving Kamino and Toga leaving Okuto Island, there are a few less).. 🙃🙃 I kept thinking "well, this can't get any worse" and I kept being wrong.... I mean, it's a typical Anime/Manga, there is a phase where it looks reeeeeeally bad for the heroes and then they manage to turn it around a bit and it looks like things are on the up and it's working, but then smth big happens to completely flip it around again and make the situation even worse than it was before and then rinse and repeat 😅🙃 The "Coffin in the Sky" is already in trouble, because Skeptic is hacking into the system and who knows what trouble he can cause with that, now Kurogiri is also able to just warp anyone in or out of that thing with barely an inconvenience and he has already shown up once with Present Mic behind Aizawa and Monoma, who are still struggling to keep ShigAFO from using his Quirks, because that really seems like an instant death ending 😅🙃 GOD, I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaay too excited for the coming episodes!! xD

NarumiYutani

oh god, we're already at just six more episodes again 😭😭 At the start of the season, I expected the finale to be the same as the ending to Volume 38 (which should be in around 4 episodes, Butterfly Effect was the last chapter of Volume 37) but after updating my predictions as the season went along, there are two whole episodes more to fill and I have no idea how they're gonna go about it 😅 Volume 39 (judging from me looking at the chapter titles) is one of the MOST intense with (I think) THREE major battles going on (well, they're always going on obviously, but u know what I mean xD) and I reeeeeeaaaally don't know if they're gonna conclude the first one and then maybe just tease at the next OR if they're going the really evil route and show a bit of both and just like leave every on-going battle on a Cliffhanger... Either way, the end of this Season and the Beginning of the next one (or just generally pretty much everything since Season 6 🤣🤣) are gonna be so absolutely crazy and insane and awesome and emotional and epic aaaand I'm starting to run out of words how awesome everything to come is 😅🙃🤣🤣 Edit: oh and yes, I do absolutely get that feeling, because I was constantly thinking "Wow, I don't think it can get any worse" and it just kept happening 😅🙃🙃🤣🤣

kamenriderhime

Oh that's good that they cleared it up in the anime! I'm super scared for everyone! So true that we just consolidated some battlefields too! Lol I know, like I keep waiting for everything to turn around, and I know it will eventually, but they're really dragging us through the mud in the meantime! That's true, I forgot about the hacking! Oof, I really can't handle anything happening to Aizawa or Monoma!!!! :O I'm scared but can't wait for more!!!!!!

kamenriderhime

The title is pretty fitting for sure! This really was a domino effect in how certain actions affected everyone's decisions. Haha he should totally be cooked in every sense of the word, I'm really not sure what's going on! So true about Shigaraki getting away too, with everything else going on I hadn't even thought of that. Hahaha I'm pretty sure that's a shonen artist's biggest job! I'm glad they won't be taking more breaks!

kamenriderhime

6 eps left!!! Oof, guess we'll see how they plan on using that time! Omg, it sounds like we have a LOT coming!! I'm excited to know that things will get more intense and more awesome but I'm also scared!!! OMG right?! Like just when you think it can't get any worse!!!

Spadeas

Hi Hime :) Present Mic was willing to kill Kurogiri to protect the good memories they had of him and not just remember Kurogiri and his crimes. It shows how determined and hurt he is. It's also quite sad for Spinner, who internally saw himself as a hero but found himself with no following, because all along he was manipulated into being this leader figure that he wasn't. If you remember, I said that one of the parts I'm not ready to see animated is the fight between Toga and Ochaco, but we're getting closer and closer to it. This episode is mostly about finishing the battle of the heteromorphs and setting up the next one, and with Toga using Twice's quirk, it's not going to be pretty.

kamenriderhime

Hi Spadeas! :) That's so sad but amazing!!! Ugh, I know, Spinner got so used. OMG, that fight will be wild!! Oof, I'm not thrilled about Toga using his quirk!! That's gonna be REALLY bad!!!

NarumiYutani

a LOT of mud... another thing to just remember and keep in the back of your head, are the two spies for AFO down in the moveable underground-shelter with those kids from Bakugo's and Todoroki's provisional licensing exam and.... wait.. are Deku and Bakugo's mums in the same section of the shelter as the entire rest of the Todoroki family or not? not sure 😅😅🤣 I tried to keep track of everything while reading and later started trying to make predictions that were often confirmed and these damn spies had me going for such a long time "Okay, they're down there, not good, but what are they planning? Are they doing it now? WHAT ABOUT THEM?!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 before, I just kept forgetting they even existed and went "Oh shit, right!" whenever they showed up xD another time _something_ happened and I was super worried and started every chapter with "What happened to them??!!?!" for fcking FORTY chapters, which was like FOURTEEN MONTHS 🙃🙃 There were just SO many different battlefields and characters to wrap up in this Final War Arc (which goes from the Traitor Arc [ends in chapter 342] to pretty much the end, except for the epilogue, so it really includes A LOT, so everything took forever) that there really was soooo much waiting that there is ANOTHER situation that took 14 damn months (funny how it's around the same length xD) in real life and about 40 chapters to be resolved. 🙃🙃 That's the problem with sooooo many characters and places 😅🙃 Anything can happen to anyone and you never know how long it will take to get back to a specific battlefield 😅😅🙃 and with Skeptic... there are a lot of different types of security systems at UA.. one of the biggest systems is probably the one for the mobile underground shelter sections, but there's also the "Decay"-defense system, that repairs the ground immediately thanks to Momo and the background team or the electric barrier that Kaminari and Co are powering. The "Coffin in the Sky" is probably generally even more high-tech than the rest, I mean I don't have ANY idea how that thing is somehow able to fly 😅😅🙃 But you'll get more on that in the next episode (I think), that's why I'm just refreshing the basic information a bit xD But I can just tell you, that you are going to be very surprised and very excited next week :D oh my god, this took me waaaayy too long to type, because I had to look up and calculate some info, so I could share my pain without actually spoiling stuff 😅😅🤣 🤣

kamenriderhime

OMG yes I'd totally forgotten about the spies, thank you! I think the families are there??? I'm not sure either! Lol you were smart to try and keep track of them! Even if it took a while for it to happen!! Wow this author really likes to spread things out when it comes to using certain plot points!!! That's playing the long game I guess! Thanks for refreshing me on some of the current systems too! It can be a lot to keep track of so I appreciate it! OMG I can't wait for next week! Haha thank you for your comment and for being so careful about spoilers!!!

I have to talk about the Spinner stuff in this episode because while he still isn’t my favorite member of the league of villains (that would probably be Shigaraki or Toga) my thoughts really started to change about him when My Villain Academia in season 5 was going on even though I have heard there was cut Spinner content back then & especially with his stuff in this season and at this point I really love his character for a lot of reasons. I think it was really smart for the creator to bring in this heteromorph storyline at this point because of how it allows Spinner some amount of agency more than before to fight against the discrimination that has caused him so much pain in his life even with all his doubts & AFO manipulating him into something almost unrecognizable but what I love the most is that the biggest reason he is doing this is because he wants to help his friends especially Shigaraki. I love that his mind is seemingly a lot more clear when he gets closer to his goal at the hospital because it lets the audience see his very emotional & heartbreaking thoughts that are all about how he has the leadership position & reputation he has always wanted and is actually going to be able to help his friends which makes it all the more sad that when he finally looked behind him there was no one following him. The artistic choice to have Spinner running down the corridor transition between his monstrous form & his younger self while chasing the red star that represents Shigaiaki is amazing. It’s crazy to see how Spinner was able to completely turn this war on its head with his sheer determination & resolve to help his friends and even though AFO who put the device in the hand that gave Kurogiri all the information he needed it still doesn’t change the fact that without Spinner the hand couldn’t have even reached Kurogiri also I saw someone predict that Skeptic made the micro device & gave him all the information because of all his satellites and since we already saw him hacking why couldn’t he have used those skills to find out all the necessary information. A comment I saw is that Spinner is a sad, sad heroic man & I have to agree because while he is on the wrong side his actions are still heroic because it’s all about protecting & saving his friends/found family but it’s sad because AFO is using Spinner & all of the villains feelings really for his own gain. Also even if he isn’t the most sympathetic member of the league for me that would probably be Dabi or Toga but I agree with a channel I watch that Spinner is the most relatable member & I love the twist that he changed everything with the power of friendship instead of the heroes using it which is normally something in stories like this. Spinner may be out of this war but his influence is so important he really is the heart of the league with Twice gone. Awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

kamenriderhime

I totally get it about Spinner! It was really cool that the author brought this storyline more into the spotlight for sure. It's sad to think that he was turned into something so unrecognizable, yet his motivation was helping the people he cared about, which makes me a lot more conflicted about it and makes the whole thing more tragic. Seeing no one following him was such a sad moment for sure! The visuals were also great. Oooh that's an interesting theory too, I hadn't thought about it! I know, Spinner's on the wrong side but for the right reasons. It really would ordinarily be the heroes pulling off a move like that, that was a nice twist! I can totally see how he's the heart now. Thank you so much for all the support!!! ^_^

Supermonaman

The Present Mic stuff in this episode was really good I love how his thoughts are not focused on himself but mostly on his best friend Aizawa & how much he has already suffered in this story and not wanting him to suffer more with what the twisted form of their other friend in Kurogiri does to their precious memories. I can’t even imagine the anguish Aizawa must have been going through asking Mic to kill Kurogiri & the same for Mic having to do it and is probably most of the reason why Mic seemed to be hesitating. I think it’s so interesting that while the villains are using the power of friendship in this episode Mic was metaphorically/almost literally abandoning the power of friendship kind of sitting that when a hero goes against friendship the villains gain the upper hand. I like my idea that while Kurogiri is doing stuff for the villains Shirakumo surfaces & helps the heroes and then it goes back & forth because they are kind of split personalities although saying that I highly doubt that. I love Meryl as a random civilian character she’s really based for using her airtime to protest against the world trying to gain favor with AFO although I and others I have seen watch this episode were momentarily distracted by how attractive she is. I love how her talking about the butterfly effect & how one person can change the world connects to the villains in this episode but also to 1 of the main ideas of this show that anyone can be a hero. Finally I forgot to say this but I love how in the opening when Shoji is shown the image behind him is him holding hands with the little girl from the past which reflects the doctors & nurses holding hands in this episode. Doctors & nurses were heroes long before hero society came into existence after all. Once again awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

kamenriderhime

That's such a good point about Present Mic! Omg it must've been awful for Aizawa. It is really interesting to see the villains using the friendship trope for once, and even more interesting to see a situation where a hero might have to go against it. I'm so glad you were able to enjoy some Meryl time in this one! The monologue was so true though. And such a great point that healthcare workers were heroes before there were heroes!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed my reaction, thank you again for being so supportive!!!

I love the Toga stuff at the end of the episode it does a great job of showing the effects characters actions have on other characters. It’s interesting to see Toga using tactics/strategy after an entire show of not doing that & I feel that it’s sitting that she chooses now to do this when she probably feels like this is the most dire time for the villains & herself also it continues to be surprising to see how many little tricks AFO has up his sleeve with that chemical that attracts Nomu. The “then her animosity created a miracle” has to be up there with some of my favorite lines in this show & I honestly love how much trust she has in Spinner to be able to fully commit to transforming into Twice without even knowing if it would amount to anything it really shows what a found the league is. It’s so sad that when she is going through the portal she shows that she truly wants to talk with Ochako about romance especially with the look on her face in Twice form. I love that we see Hawks seeing the Twice clones 1st in the episode before going back in time because of his significance to Toga having killed Twice & Hawks’s connection to Twice with the really complex situation surrounding him killing Twice knowing it was morally wrong but having no choice knowing that this exact situation that happened in this episode would have happened back in season 6 making things so much worse if he did nothing. From a writing standpoint I love that Dabi is the reason sad man’s parade is still even possible even with how careful Hawks was because it’s a villain he has somewhat of a personal connection to. I hate the way AFO is taunting Hawks about this because we know AFO is just using Toga like everyone else. Also the look on Endeavor face as he turns towards Toya is just an “it was already a shitty day why wouldn’t it get worse”kind of look & man it’s horrifying to see Dabi looking even more like a dead body. It’s truly terrifying to see the ocean of Twice clones that is created within seconds only & you might not have noticed but I love the way Toga’s VA made their voice much deeper when announcing this move as Sad Man’s Death Parade because it sounds amazing, works well for the dark situation & her mindset and it shows a great amount of range. Finally the one thing I was thinking when 1st watching this episode was that I would be scared to be Hawks in this situation.

kamenriderhime

The Toga stuff is great right? It's interesting to see how they're developing it all with her. That was such a SICK line though haha! That's true, it does show trust in Spinner. I know, it's sad to think that she started just really wanting to connect to someone. Omg I know, Hawks was in a horrible position, you can't blame him on the one hand, you know? It is a nice way to connect things to involve Dabi here too. AFO taunting and using just boils my blood! Yeah Dabi showing up looking like that was fuel to the fire, no pun intended. And the infinite clones are so scary to see!!! Toga's VA did a great job for sure! OMG yes I'd be scared to be any of them but especially Hawks!!!!!!!!
