Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 2 episode 7 of Arcane! WOW you guys, this was such a great ep for Ekko! Not to mention WOW, what a great what if story! I'm shattered about Vi not being around in the alternate universe, but dang if everything else didn't turn out a lot nicer! I loved seeing grown up Powder! And holy cow, this was truly the ship we didn't know we needed, yeah??? Sadly Jayce didn't have such a good experience...!! Great ep! Enjoy!! ~ MH

“I don’t think this show could get any more soul crushing.” Us: “Be careful. This show can hear you.” Show: “I heard a challenge!” I didn’t actually pick up on the Ekko image on the record intro until the rewatch, actually. Huh. So what we have here is two differently contrasting scenarios: Jayce and Ekko both actually fell into the world they were designing. They just… didn’t get things the WAY they wanted. I’ll say this up front, but I finished the last episode just this morning and this episode has some very interesting things to think about after the fact, you may want to revisit it when you’re done, (well you’ll probably do that in editing anyway.) Jayce got dropped into the world where everything basically went about as poorly as it could have. He wanted Hextech to succeed - but it did t turn out the way he was hoping. As far as what he was eating, I REALLY don’t want to think about the possibilities, if you get my drift. But it looks like he was able to make a splint for his leg at least. But the interesting question is… what caused everything to spiral so badly, we just saw a figure at the source when Jayce got sent back. “How do you know the limit is four seconds?” Trust us, it’s four seconds. 😬 Meanwhile, Ekko got put in a spot where everything went about as well as it could have. Powder is still herself, and as you might’ve picked up, her lair as Jinx is actually an inventor lab here. The big change here is Vi died - but you’re slightly mistaken. This incident in question occurred when they raided Jayce’s lab at the start of the series. In this scenario, Vi was killed somehow. Sicko didn’t pick up Powder and fight Vander until a while later in the original world. You asked what happened to Heinerdinger, all we know is he was last seen putting those two tubes together, and then Powder and Ekko were the only ones in the room. Who knows? Maybe he’s fine, playing his instrument somewhere else. There are some questions that don’t get answers. Everyone else lived, but you were hung up on Vi not being there. What’s the trade off? You can’t get everything. Do you want the current world of suffering, or do you want the world you could have without her? It’s a real Hum(ER)dinger. As far as your little reference to the other show (I ten billion percent know what you’re talking about), there’s one major difference in that all of that technology is quantifiable. There’s an element of unknown variables in the Hextech that nobody is able to account for yet, so they’re making it up as they go along. But keep the quote in mind when making the choice: “sometimes moving forward means you have to leave a few things behind.” The question is, what’s the trade off, and how much is each side worth to you?

Lol I spoke too soon! That's so true, be careful what you wish for I guess. I agree that this ep is even more interesting in light of the finale! Ugh, I don't wanna think about the details of what Jayce did to survive! AHHH that was such a way to demonstrate the 4 second thing!! Oh I knew it was the incident where they raided the lab - I'm not sure what I said to indicate otherwise. Yeah I guess we'll never know about Heimerdinger, what the heck! I know...I hate that Vi died but dang was the trade off good! Ahhh that quote is really poignant considering the ending....!!
