Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction to episode 24!  YAY to Canary still being alive!!  Also, loved the flashbacks between Canary and Killua - perhaps that was where he first learned about the concept of friendship???  Who knows!  After a frustrating debacle with this family, we finally get a little info on how Killua's receiving the "star" treatment here (can't roll my eyes enough while saying that lol) because he has the potential to be the family leader.
Seems like the grandpa and dad are playing the long game for sure!  And here I thought the dad might be kinda, sorta decent....??  Scary thought here, but for this family, the mom is actually what's considered a "caring" mom.  Shudders!!!!  So glad we are getting TF outta here lol.  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

The mom did think it was good. That is what her tone of voice was, like how we would look at a small child and see how grown up they are being. She talked the same way about how his eyes were murderous and found it so adorable

Small point - only one of the intruders (the leader) was a Hunter. The rest were regular mercenaries. So sad to see Killua wanting a friend like that and being turned away! 😢 Easy to see why Gon’s warm nature and easy friendship meant so much to him, and why he was unsure of himself. Another thing I found interesting when I read the manga is how Killua is drawn there as opposed to how we see him on screen. While for the most part he still looks like our little angel, his ‘evil’ face is rather scarier, and seen more frequently, especially at the beginning before he becomes friends with Gon. You really see how his family has twisted him. They’ve just gone a tiny bit lighter in the anime. Not much, but noticeable.

Ohhh wow ok, didn't realize that! I know, my poor boy!!!! It does really drive home how much Gon's whole way of being must have affected him, after being through that.
