Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction and review of Clone Wars 3x10!  WOW, I've gotta say, sadly, I hadn't given much thought to what your everyday Separatist citizen is really like...!!
And it's interesting that on both sides, there seemed to be a great degree of people who just wanted the war to end.  The only ones really into war, it seems, are the people profiting off of it, and of course the infamous You-Know-Who.  God I wish he had gotten eaten by the Zillo beast!!!!!  And is it just me, or did Padme come close to having him on the ropes for a second???  For once, there seemed to be a limit on the amount of meddling he could do without getting exposed, so he just had to let this one ride.  What a great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I am pretty sure Palp issued the rule with the no talking, or atleast he mentioned it so someone else could issue it. Even as a Senetor of Naboo he surely had some plans. I think Ahsoka is now 15, when the war started she was 14. The clone wars, and the time difference between Episode 2 and Episode 3 is 3 years. So i she will be 17 in season 7. Still more stories to be told until then

Oh yeah, that's what I figured! I just assume all the bad things are because of him haha. Thanks for clarifying the timeline! It seems like it's been more than just a year for her, but then again a year makes such a difference when you're a child or teen. Good to know what our timeline looks like! Thank you :D

I know this is a while since you've seen this episode Mel, with the vote about the Separatists and Republic to see about peace before it gets sabotaged, but it is a fundamental episode in the show, showing just how much the Sith are manipulating both sides to their advantage. Deep down you almost have to admire Palpatine's Machiavellian scheming to gain power, its masterfully done. Also sure Padme could get into trouble for seeking an audience with the Separatists, but she'd see that as a small price to pay if peace comes out of it, and she's right. We see the Separatists as the bad guys in this series due to their military, but a lot of the issues they had before all this broke out, were justified. Corruption was rife in the Republic, humans were getting a lot of the top positions and had been for hundreds of years, and the Separatist worlds thought the core worlds of the Republic were getting advantages in trade over them. This is all heavy stuff of course, but there is justification as to why they split from the Republic, and of course Palpatine helps to further the fuel of the division between both sides, in order to secure ultimate power in the galaxy. One line that always chills me is when Anakin says 'we have eyes and ears everywhere Ahsoka' which we will see with the Empire down the line. Also, the Separatists will be the hardest hit when the Empire is established, and many genocidal crimes will happen with them; but its in the smoky embers of those worlds, which will spark the fire of Rebellion down the line. A lot of the Separatists, become our 'good guys' later on when the Empire is established. Heavy themes for a kids show.

So true that this really demonstrates just what kind of high-level manipulation was going on! That's the thing, Padme is focusing on the long game here...which is peace. And technically, yeah, the Separatists did have some solid reasoning there. All we usually see up to this point on the show is the "us vs. them" when our heroes are fighting, but there's really so much more to it than that, as there often is in any war. Oh that line was chilling for sure! It's crazy to think the Separatists are targeted and later re-form as the Rebellion! Yes all this in a "children's show"!!!! Crazy for sure!!!!!!!!
