Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction to episode 32!  Ohhhhhh man!!!  I should have known that the tides would turn in a big way in this ep!!!  It was really interesting to find out more about how exactly Kastro's abilities work.  Hisoka sure figured it out fast!  And on top of that, we get a splendid explanation of how exactly Hisoka works his "magic"; something I've been wondering about for some time.  Oh yeah, and let's not forget that BOMBSHELL they drop on us at the end there!!!  Followed only but another twist on the situation...!!!  Dang!!!!  This makes things even more interesting!!!  Am I too naive to hope for an "enemy of my enemy" situation with Kurapika and Hisoka one day??  Perhaps!!  Can't wait to find out!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) I hadn't paid attention that there would be two episodes this week, but so much the better because the wait in the middle of the fight would have been hard ^^. I had put a discreet clue last week, but here it is, Gon is already healed, in one month instead of the required four. Another example of why he's a monster lol. This fight serves several purposes: - Explain a little more the Nen and its applications - Show Hisoka's incredible ability in nen, but also in strategy - Prepare for the next arc in York Shin city with the phantom troupe - Prepare the challenge for a future Gon / Hisoka duel (that's Gon's goal after all). In that, it's a really good fight, and then the moment Hisoka pulls a card out of his severed arm, stays in the memory of many HxH fans, for worse or better lol. Regarding his involvement with the troop, you have clearly identified Hisoka, he is a hunter, he likes to hunt down prey, prey that gives him the thrill he is looking for, and for that he hunts powerful people. The phantom troupe is renowned as one of the most dangerous, so inevitably full of elements able to ... excite him. Now, regarding the Nen, I'm not sure if it's clearly said later, but it's better to have a simple technique like Hisoka's rather than Kastro's. It allows you to use your Nen more freely and not concentrate it in one aspect to the detriment of the others. This is the mistake that Kastro made, he is so focused on his techniques, that he neglected the other aspects of the Nen and lost, in particular one that we will see soon which is to concentrate the Nen. in his eyes and that would have allowed Kastro to see Hisoka's Nen. Which shows yet again that Hisoka is a terrible opponent and the bar is high for Gon and Killua.

I love how they show it wasn't just about power (in a way), it included a lot of parlor tricks and mind games. I mean Hisoka said Kastro was right on the money but he still couldn't figure out how Hisoka did what he did. Before the group split, they finally made it privy to us the audience what Hisoka whispered during the matches. Hisoka said "I have some information regarding a spider". And after the hunter orientation Hisoka told Kurapika to meet him on September 1st in Yorknew. As far as I know that's all Hisoka told him.

Okay, so a quick school in Hisoka. The man is a madman and I love him. He's also terrifying and, as shown, an incredibly strong fighter. By the Troupe's rules, he is functionally a member. However, he is only a member because he wants to hunt and fight strong people and the Troupe certainly qualifies in that regard. Also, Nen is stupid kinds of fun. This fight showcased a fraction of the things you can do with Nen. Nen is as potent and versatile as your imagination allows it to be.

Hi Spadeas! :) OMG so true, I was happy for two eps as well haha. Ah yes!!! I do remember that little clue! He's quite the formidable boy! This fight definitely served a lot of great informative purposes and was just an awesome fight in general! Glad I was right on about Hisoka just hunting the Phantom Troupe for, erm....sport :P Oh yes I did notice that they emphasized the problem with Kastro's technique vs. a simpler one like Hisoka's. The bar is definitely high when it comes to Hisoka!!!!! Can't wait for more!

kamenriderhime

Exactly!!!! Strategy is still the name of the game here! Ahhhhhh okay, I'm so glad I wasn't going crazy about the whispering!!! All I remembered was that he had told him about Yorknew. So he did, in a way, mention the Phantom Troupe then!!! Thanks for clearing that up!

Hisoka is really something! So he's a member, but just so he can wreak havoc. Got it! Nen is sooo much fun!!! Jeez!!! Seems like there's limitless potential!!! I love it!!!
