Hey everyone!!!  Here I am with episode 9 of season 2 of Demon Slayer!!!  Omg guys, things are getting crazy here.....!!!!!!  Our boys getting.....erm....jobs....a big plot unfolding, getting to know our new Hashira, being in a "flashy" new district, some action/drama/hilarity along the way - what's not to love?!  I can't wait to see where this is all going but I for sure have a theory or two...!!!  And in the mean time, watching our boys try and find their way in their new places of employment is just an amazing blend of hilarious and wrong hahaha.  Can't wait to see more! Great ep - enjoy!!!  ~ MH

Like I said last week: Las Vegas :D. And our crew must be CSI then? XD Ooh, your rant at the start of this made something click for me: The details are fuzzy, but I believe both Rengoku’s father and Muzan Kibutsuji have SPECIFICALLY noticed Tanjiro’s earrings: Rengoku’s dad said they had a significance to Sun Breathing. Could THIS be the reason Tanjiro and his family were initially targeted? I feel like this might be “catching a plot thread,” if you will…. I wonder if the word “prostitute” is being used as more of a synonym here for our benefit in translating Japanese culture to an American audience. Because what we would define it as in America and what they’re presenting in this particular scenario doesn’t seem to be an EXACT translation. There seems to be quite a bit more to this “profession.” Ah, well, culture clash. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not condoning or saying it’s okay for women to be put through that line of work: I just wanted to point out that the concept of how we use that word vs how Japanese do seems to be very different, and there may not be a specific word in the English language to accurately describe fully what is being asked of these people. Guys… guys, I know we needed some levity after the end of the Mugen Train Arc, I totally get it but… do you think we may have swung the pendulum wayyy too far in the opposite direction? I think we might’ve gone “slightly” off the deep end, just like Zenitsu: also, RIP anyone who is taking a drink right before their “disguises” get shown on screen for the first time. And lastly, since Inosuke can’t speak, here’s an equivalent challenge for you: next week do the reaction while holding the facial expression Tanjiro makes when he has to lie. ;) There are things I’m sure you said during this week you never thought you’d be talking about during this episode . I got no clue where this is going to go next.

Polygamy is definitely different from what non JP fans see it as. I see a lot of ppl making jokes or whatever about it this whole week. It's a societal and traditional practice thing. They may know what the word means but not fully what it's about or what it entails. Its taken very seriously in a lot of cultures. The appearances are deceiving but it's not a harem thing like some may suggest; it's companionship and working together like "sister wives" although not as brutish as the guy on that show. Boorish at times maybe but I don't think the hashira is brutish. I can't wait to see more of the new characters. I feel zenitsu a bit. When it feels like someone has it so good in comparison but I hope he stays focused. 😆 It's hard for me to believe the debt ppl have over their heads. Cause the culture works completely different from how ours does. Debt in the states as a blue collar, I am privileged to have aid if I need it. Either from family or just asking for help down at my bank. Places in Japan you either are born into debt or inherit debt and have to work to pay it off. No if, ands or buts. It's hard-core down there when it comes to paying something off. Ugh even hardships are somehow more magnificent in Japan 🤧 🇯🇵

Yeah it's interesting to see how concepts differ from culture to culture! From what I'm hearing, our new Hashira friend is really loving and considerate of his wives so I'm sure it's not quite brutish, harem-ish, etc. like you said! Oh wow, is it still like that in Japan too? Or just during this Taisho era? It's quite interesting how these things differ, right?! LOL magnificent hardships!!!!!!! It's certainly a bit more interesting to watch in a fictional setting than something about a modern day debt collector would be :P

Hahahahaha oh yeah I guess so!!!!!!!! Not gonna lie, I'd watch the heck out of that CSI season :P Ahhhh yes I think you're onto something there about the earrings!!! And yeah, I don't think the term "prostitute" here has the exact same meaning or implications as what we're used to. Even from what they explained here, it seems to be a bit different. I for sure see what you're saying about how being sold into this life is not great, but at the same time, it does seem to be less of what we think of and leaning more towards some sort of profession. Hahahaha yeah we went WAYYYY in the other direction with the comedy! I always feel like any time Zenitsu has a "shtick" on this show, it's at like 1000 at all times haha. HAHAHHAHAHAHA well I gotta say, if I do the reaction with Tanjiro's lying face, that will make for one EPIC thumbnail for the video :P Yeah for sure about talking about unexpected things lol. Can't wait either!!! Thanks for your thoughts!
