Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction to episode 77!  OHHHH YOU GUYS I know they didn't just go to some of the horrific places that I think they did.....!!!!  Let's see, it wasn't enough that we had GIANT ants....no, they're giant HUNGRY ants....that got a taste for HUMAN FLESH....by EATING KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WHAAAAAAAAAT??!?!!?!?  What kind of nightmare fuel is this?!?!?!  On the bright side, it's cool to meet even more new characters and start off on an adventure with them!!!  And one involving Yorknew, no less!!!  Yikes, let's see where this is all going...!!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!!  ~ MH

I would say get ready for this arc but I don't think it will help any ;p

Yeaaah uh it is only going to go downhill from here, so again I recommend getting a plushie (or 5) to hug lol. This arc has some of the highest and lowest (cough cough scariest) points in the series. (It's also the longest!) Unfortunately there's not really any cute aftercredits things like the Greed Island one (It would be kind of out of place considering the arc tbh). Unfortunately, there's no real ill will in what the Queen is doing. She's simply following her instincts. So it is kind of hard to say she is evil except by our standards. Also, this show does a really good job of building tension also because while Kite and the rest still are investigating where the Queen could be, if she's eaten a human, even if she's still alive; the Queen is already building her army and they're nowhere near her. We know our heroes are ten steps behind and it is scary! The show knows it is messing with us.. but somehow in the best way possible.

Hi Hime :) The passage of Kite saving Gon, is actually the first chapter of the manga. But if I remember correctly, it's precisely him who reveals to Gon that Ging is a Hunter and I'm not sure that Kite's past is revealed (it's been a long time since I read it). Basically, this episode serves to put things in order after the animation manager decided not to start with chapter 1 and to want to censor the anime (which was useless in the end). The chimera ant arc has just started and you can already get a taste of how dark it's going to be. Without spoiling too much, we'll say that there are basically two parts, the first part you watch is the safest of the two... But as you could see, the "ants" will have enough varied appearance so that you are not repelled each time. About the clown by the way, it's the Nen of Kite. A weapon which, as he says himself, changes appearance according to the number drawn. You will see more later, but just to remind you of something learned with Kurapika and other Nen users, with a contract or a restriction, one can reinforce the power of his Nen, have a chance match his Nen, is surely a kind of contract of the kind, which surely allows Kite a certain strength. I won't say more ^^.

Yikes!!! Well better go invest in a bushel of plushies for this arc hahaha! I'm already getting vibes that it's one of the most intense things to happen on this show so far! Thanks for the info on the post credits, too! So, I think you make a great point here...everything we're seeing is just natural instinct that you'd see in average sized ants or other animals/insects in the wild. The size is what really bumps up the danger level here! And yeah, our crew isn't even close, dang! Messing with us in the best way possible is a great way to describe it! Thanks for all the info :D

Hi Spadeas :) Ohhh interesting!! I'm glad they were able to set things straight here after skipping it at the beginning, and yeah....censoring was never gonna happen on this show lol. Yikes, we're in the safe part now?!?! :O Oh no lol! Very true, some of the ants do not look ant-ish for sure, as time goes on. Thanks for the info about the clown! Ahh I know!!! I wish I could do two eps every week!!! Especially with an arc like this! I was almost thinking of cutting back to 1 since my schedule has gotten so packed but there's no way I can do that now that I've started this arc...!!! XD

Aaaa nooo!!! I didn't mean any pressure by it. I was worried for your sanity xD This arc has a lot of episodes that end on really tense moments and cliffhangers with high stakes!! The length is one thing but the craziness is more!!

Aww no worries at all!!! There was no pressure!!! Hahaha oh man you just know I'm gonna be getting frustrated at those cliffhangers right?! I'm sure there will be moments where I'm like... "What am I doing for the next 10 hours? Could I maybe just keep watching ep after ep?" Lol!!!

Super excited to be starting this arc! Definitely my fave from the whole series, even if it is pretty horrifying at times. Prepare yourself for a seriously wild ride!
