Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction and review of Clone Wars 5x19!  WOW, I did NOT see the teamup with Ventress coming!!!  Come to think of it though, could that all be part of a high-level plot to make Ahsoka look even MORE guilty?!  Hate to say it but even the tip from her friend got her in a position that made things look worse.  Could there really be someone controlling even those smallest of details?!  Seeing Ventress again was a treat, and I am racking my brain about who the heck that could have been in the cloak!!!!!!!  Ahsoka's been captured...this is bad.  Why do I get this feeling that this is the end of her story here on Clone Wars?  Or at least as part of the main plot?  Can't wait to find out!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Well have fun next week in the season finale! Being that attached to Ahsoka clearly brings up feelings. Imagine if you didnt know what you already know from another show. How nerve wrecking that would be.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

I love this show. I didn't know how much until I first saw this arc

kamenriderhime

YAY!!! Can't wait!!!!!!!!! OMG that would be so upsetting....can't imagine what folks were going through when this first aired!!!!! :O

Saltire

The Council scene at the start of this episode is always interesting. I'm never a fan of Mace Windu, but he isn't wrong about Anakin still being too attached, the Jedi know he still isn't the Jedi he should be at this point, so are rightfully questioning his judgement. We as the audience side with Anakin because we know Ahsoka is innocent and becoming the ideal Jedi, so to see her treated like this, is harrowing.

kamenriderhime

That's the thing, there are so many things that Anakin does that really might be leading him down the wrong path, yet it's hard not to side with him in the short term, you know? There are a few times when I've been miffed by things said by Mace, this arc was one of them lol, but as much as there might be some problems in the Council, they do have some good points about Anakin. None of it is very cut and dry which is what made manipulating the situation so easy for Palaptine, I'm sure!

Saltire

I detest Mace for the 'I'm sorry Citizen' line in the Siege Of Mandalore arc to Ahsoka! Even though she isn't technically a Jedi now, she captured Darth freakin' Maul for them! I try to side with the Jedi generally whenever they make questionable decisions or say things that to us sound a bit cold; but that line always stings me!

kamenriderhime

I was very mad at him for that line!!! I hear you, in general it makes sense to go with what the Jedi are putting out there but....this was just not necessary!!!

Cody

“I’m not ready for the rest of this series.” I definitely wasn’t, these last few seasons HURT. Mostly just the first arc in season six’s case but still.

Cody

I think after the final episode I just sat there processing for a bit, so so good!

Nick

Agreed, Saltire. I think Mace Windu is in general awesome as a Jedi, but a couple of times during the series he says things that are just not right in context, and this is one of those occasions.

Saltire

What I don't like about Mace is that he seems to lack compassion and empathy, two major traits a good Jedi should have. He is very dogmatic and unyielding in his beliefs. He - quite rightly - distrusts Anakin, and I get that; but the way he is with Ahsoka at times too, it rubs me up the wrong way! :D

2023-05-01 01:31:31 Yeah Mace Windu is tough, because in a lot of ways he's a character I love to root for, but in others I do feel like he rubs the wrong way as well! I think the cut-and-dry, by-the-book nature could have something to do with it. I'll never get over how he treated Ahsoka at the end!!!!! >.<
