Hey everyone!  I am back today with more of Nomad of Nowhere!  WHOAAAAAA!!!!  No way, we finally get a Nomad origin story!!!  Is it just me, or was his friend VERY Skout-ish?!  This makes so much sense....and it's absolutely heartbreaking!  He was literally made to be a helper, friend and protector.....and now he has no idea why he's constantly hunted.  :(  I'm glad he's still alive, and who knows where Skout is!!!  Two eps left....I'm excited and scared all at once!!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I love this episode. It was so exciting to get a flashback episode when it was coming out live. I love how we finally learn what the Nomad actually is a scarecrow powered by a magical stone. A nice detail is that the 1st time Nomad’s brought to life the land is much more full of life and it gets more lifeless as this origin story continues. I love seeing this little family and what this world was like 100 years ago. It’s unfortunate that Nomad isn’t the strongest protector or self-defense teacher being a scarecrow. I really love the design and accent of Melinda and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that she looks like Skout seems like her being a grandmother of Skout is very likely at least to me. Or it could just be a narrative thing where they are just similar people and that’s why Nomad was drawn to her. It’s so nice to see this wholesome and fun moment of him playing with Melinda. I definitely agree with you that Nomad having these powers is an unintended side effect of this magic user infusing some of his own magic into Nomad. It is really heartbreaking to see this family torn apart especially when the father has great and strong morals. Although it is awesome to see him magically switch clothes showing that he’s a badass wizard. It really shows the love he has for his daughter that he was willing to blow himself up to protect her. Having to see the aftermath with Melinda’s grief is depressing but even if it’s short I love seeing the relationship of Melinda and Nomad develop and how they become great friends. I think the important part of the 1st town scene is telling the audience that the Yadala are the elves of this world even if it’s not directly said. It’s nice storytelling that they set up Melinda’s rage towards the king early during the campfire scene. It sucks to see how quickly the king was able to consume almost all the people with magic in this world It is a very emotional moment for sure. I believe that the world of this show was much more diverse with different kinds of people before the king got involved and I think Melinda’s accent changed because she was trying to blend in. It is crazy to see that Bliss Hill became so desolate and bad in let’s say 80 years considering Melinda was older. Melinda having memory manipulation magic is scary but the stuff with the bartender is pretty funny. I think Melinda’s anger is understandable being able to protect herself but so is Nomad wanting to protect her not only because it was instilled in him by her father but also having grown to love and care about her. Unfortunately even though she feels the same way because of who she was wanting to fight for what was right it could not end happily. It’s heartbreaking and heartwarming that Melinda erased his memories to make it not hurt for either of them and to protect Nomad keeping him out of danger by making sure he would stay safe. It also explains the sign at the beginning of the show where Nomad was living saying stay out or go away on one side and don’t leave on the other. I still think there is a way Melinda might still be alive but it isn’t the nicest theory I think she might be the gunslinger governor who looked like the Nomad in a long game plan to take down El Rey since the governors were most likely also given extended life but if I’m right who knows what happened over such a long time to she could have completely changed. Finally waking up to Paragon looming over you is definitely not the ideal thing to wake up to LOL. Great reaction I can’t wait for your reaction to the penultimate episode. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

YES!!! Yay for backstory! Totally agree that it's probably not a coincidence about the resemblance. The dad was awesome and it's so sad what happened to him. Def a beautiful friendship between Melinda and the Nomad though! The manipulation magic is pretty intense but was done playfully here lol. And yeah Bliss Hill has deteriorated a lot. OHHHHHH the sign does make sense now, wow!!! Did not even put that together. Ohhhhh interesting theory about Melinda! Oof, yeah it's not the way you wanna wake up lol. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!! It means a lot!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the next ep!!!
