Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to Arcane ep 8!!!  WHOA!!!  We've got a lot going on here....meeting Mel's mom, Jinx's life in the balance, Viktor's transformation (and his poor assistant's demise...!), Vi straight up being in a council meeting (which was epic!), etc...WOW guys, let me just go on the record as saying that I HATE where Cait and Vi left things, and so help me, if this upgraded Jinx does something to her.....EQUIPMENT WILL GET SMASHED!!!
Ekko and Heimerdinger meeting up was also a fun combo!  And man, Jayce and Vi fighting back to back....you can tell both of them are sick and tired of things staying the way they are!!!  Can't wait to see the next and last one!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Heimerdinger was perhaps too cautious and conservative but you can't say the man doesn't have enormous wells of empathy & sympathy.....his sojourn into the undercity will be good for his soul.

It just hit me, (and keep in mind this is only a theory of mine), that what happened with Viktor, Sky and the Hexcore is almost basically the same as what happened to Edward and Alphonse in Full Metal Alchemist. Because Viktor didn't have the buffer of the altered Shimmer (like he did with the previous body upgrade), he would have most likely died similarly to Sky, but because Sky interfered she BECAME that buffer which allowed the transformation/upgrade. Whatever the Hexcore is it seems to loosely follow the Law of Equivalent exchange in a way; the object or goal a person will trade for must have an equal value to what the person trades with. To get the first upgrade of his magic robo-foot Viktor traded the altered shimmer in his blood for it, but, as we see this episode for the further transformation of his whole leg and his hand the thing Viktor traded was Sky. In the pursuit of progress, he failed to comprehend what would needed to be traded for it.

WHOA!!!! How did this never occur to me?! Excellent comparison...!!! I never thought of that, that Sky was the reason it worked. She was the intermediary it needed. I think this tech/magic is going to cost a lot more than Viktor previously anticipated...!!!!!!!!
