Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to the RECOVERY ONE miniseries!!!  WOW guys, it's always jarring how different the tone is in this miniseries lol, but I like it.  I really enjoyed following Washington (his VA helped with that!!!) but could not believe the twist ending!  I'm so curious to learn more about who or what is hunting these freelancers, why everything outside of RvB proper feels like a totally different organization, etc.  This was really good and a great example of how our RT founders could excel and even more than just comedy!!  Can't wait for what's next!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

2023-01-15 20:32:25 I love this miniseries so much. It’s such a great tone change being more serious but still having good humor. I love Wash as a character from his serious demeanor to his sarcastic/dry humor and because of how competent he is. Actually I encountered Shannon McCormick as Wash 1st so it was really exciting to learn the actor connection with Ozpin. It’s really jarring to see an actually serious command and seeing how cold they are with the actions they are willing to take is scary. I like dialogue in this lot it feels really natural. It was great to see Delta again I love how even as an artificial being he seems like a genuine and nice person and I love his humor not able to fully understand humans. I like the little aspects of dealing with themes of grief (South losing her brother) and mental illness (Wash with his traumatic experience with the Epsilon AI). I hated how the man was talking to Wash, his questions felt very shady and the acting points to that as well in my opinion. I’m glad Wash was taking none of it even if his answers were dark. I love how even the action is more serious although I think they were just moving the characters better LOL. I like how Wash’s humanity & morals with how he helps South it’s unfortunate he chose the wrong person to help with the betrayal ending with his death making me hate South he will be missed D:. The mystery of this monster is great and the miniseries does a great job of depicting how terrifying this thing is without it being on the screen only showing a very small part of the thing for like 30 seconds. And at the end we see this command was just using its people. It really shows the type of person South is with how this ends with her. I will say that some of your thoughts might be on the right track :-). Also while humor will never go away what you watched might be preparing you for stuff :-). Your theories were really entertaining. I loved your reaction and discussion and I can’t wait to see what you think of season 6. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

Yes this was such a great one, really fun to hear Ozpin in a different role and one that pre-dates his role as Ozpin too. He has a great demeanor and it was fun watching him! Super scary to see just how the real command operates. The dialogue did feel natural, you're right. Delta was great too! Yes, they did start to scratch the surface of some deeper concepts here for sure! Ohhhh hahah good point, they probably didn't have to move the characters for comedic effect here!!! I know, I was so sad to see him go, especially since they had predicted he'd act in a way to help South which was what got him killed...!! I'm super scared of the monster now! Command is for sure just using people. And South was truly in it for herself the whole time. Oooooohhhh I'm excited that I've hit on something with some of my theories!!! I have a feeling the tone will get darker for sure! Glad the humor doesn't leave for good though. Thank you so much, I'm so happy you enjoyed it!!! And thanks for all your awesomeness and support!!!!!!!!!!! ^_^
