Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction to episode 103!   Well dang, looks like the king has finally met someone he can't beat!  I'm so incredibly curious to know more about this girl!  I have my theories, which you all know by this point haha, but I'll try to be good and keep it to myself for now until I find out more!  Meanwhile, Morel faces off with the new and improved Cheetu.  He's learned some fancy tricks, but is this really enough to take down someone as strong as Morel?  He doesn't seem too nervous!  Can't wait to see what happens next!

If you haven't looked up the girls name yet you should figure it out in the next few episodes! Lol she's such a great character. I'm glad you noticed that the games they were playing all revolved around taking down the king. They actually build off of that a little in the future episodes as well. Looking forward to the rest of this arc!!

I love how Pro Baby you are, despite all the rabbit holes 😅 It'll be interesting to see when or if the baby comes back. Cause if Togashi likes to do anything, it's leave plenty to the imagination. And don't forget, Colt found his new meaning/happiness in devoting himself to that child, which would be a nice tie-off for his story. Can't wait for the next one! 😊

The main reason the girl probably isn't scared is because she cannot see the king or the potentially bloody surroundings. She probably doesn't know he is an ant and thinks she is talking to a powerful "leader" human who usurped the old one. (lol)

So, as far as I can tell from being a manga reader, the line about Knuckle's APR "weakening" Cheetu's power is a mistranslation. It's actually meant to be "APR influenced his ability". What he means is that Cheetu is kind of, to put it kindly, impressionable; and when he encountered Knuckle, whose power activates when he hits someone, and that power has mysterious, somewhat unknowable effects, it made an impression on him. So what power did Cheetu create? A power which activates after hitting someone, which has mysterious effects. Morel, being a cool dude, deduced this quickly and that's why he asked about what the penalty for losing is. He knew Cheetu wouldn't just *tell* him, but by giving Morel such a cocky answer, he was practically shouting that just like APR, there is something going on "underneath the surface". Togashi is an economical storyteller lol. Able to say a lot with very, very little.

the name the queen gave the king is meruem in case you didnt look it up. i wouldnt advise looking up anything abt any of the character in this arc. going back and watching that episode again should b fine tho

Hi Hime :) Gungi's player brings a new dynamic to the game (no pun intended, for once). She's kind of surprisingly cute. But the narrator is right to say that she will change the fate of the king, no spoiler, just a little tease. Cheetu remains immature, it shows in his technique, which consists of tag games and as Morel says, he does not know his own technique exactly. Which can be a usable weakness to make him switch sides don't you think ?

Lol the little jab Mel gave about Knuckles looking like he belongs in the wrong decade I think is because of a character in Yu Yu Hakusho. The main four in HxH parallel the main four in YYH, however outside the quartet, Feitan and Knuckle resemble two out of the four 4 in Hakusho. Just pop open a picture and you'd see it right away lol. From clothing to hairstyle. Morel bringing up that mental fortitude was one of the factors they were looking for back at the hunter exam. In that very first phase it was brought up, with keeping up with the endurance while not having know how long they were having to run and so on with each phase that grew to be something essential to have. Haha I love that u were going back and forth and stopping yourself here and there with your developing theories it's really fun seeing you really into it.
