Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 1 episode 11 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime!  Well, we get to face off with Gabiru in this one and....gotta say never thought Gobta would come through in such a big way, but there it is!!!  Dang, he really has some tricks up his sleeve doesn't he?  I wonder sometimes!!!  All the pieces are slowly but surely moving together when it comes to a big confrontation with the orcs - in fact, we end off the episode with a special request about it!!!  Can't wait to see more!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

A couple of thoughts before I move on to the next one since you’re already past it like always. Notice that whenever Great Sage appears there’s 8-but video game music playing underneath it (like the real old Nintendo games with the beep-boop sound.) Dryads are basically a form of tree spirit, they’ve become quite common in fantasy lore. You might think of them as somewhat similar/related to the Ents from the LOTR series, as they’re involved with trees and protect the forest, but they’re usually female forms. Somehow, I think I trust Shuna more with Rimuru than I trust Shion… it didn’t take the poor boy long to have two women fighting over him though; be careful what you wish for! Gabiru is not very good at reading the room is he? And his underlings aren’t really helping either… 😅 And finally, I think I’ve finally witnessed the ultimate evil in anime. We’ve run into some incredibly ruthless villains in this medium, but none could be possibly more evil than Shion’s cooking! 😂

Dryads are another creature that don't originate in games or other modern media, they are one type of nymph, which is defined as a minor female nature deity in Greek mythology. Dryads are tree nymphs, you are correct.

I totally forgot Gobta learned how to summon his tempest wolf skills when...they left him at the kingdom. Huh man they keep doing him dirty 😅
