Hey everyone!  Welcome back, I am back today, with episode 8 of Legend of Vox Machina!!!  Well first off, I am SO proud of K'eyleth, phew!!!  Really thought they might leave the sister dead there for a second!  So glad Pike was finally able to sort out the root of her problems, too!!  The fight was epic, and oof, having to fight a possessed Grog is bad enough...but all of Vox Machina, dang!  Good thing Percy can size up a situation fast....how gross and epic was the slicing off of the tongue!!!  >.<  But Delilah won't take this victory well....looks like we've got another undead army to deal with!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

That was sweet! Ugh Keyleth did such an amazing job. 👏 I'm glad and hope Pike will join back with the group. And you're so right about this kind of feeling like a solidifying moment for Percy; showing his appreciation and fondness to the people who are helping him and always have his back. Like new family. Ofcourse I think that's always been the case but for him it really seemed like he accepted it in some new way during the battle.

YES my girl!! Me too!! And glad you agree! Yeah there's nothing like some shared experience in battle to really cement that bond!

I totally agree that the random chance aspect of the source material makes the story so much better. It's a lot harder for a story to fall into predictable tropes when everything depends on the choices the players make in the moment, and the roll of the die. What also amazes me is how so much of this came directly from the game. There's so much cinematic description, and amazing dialogue that just came out of improv. A lot of Percy's epic one-liners are things that Taliesin (the voice actor) just said live in the game - in this episode, "Yours was the face I saw when murder entered my heart" is a direct quote from the game. It's so great to see enjoyment and enthusiasm around this awesome show!

Yes!!! Glad you agree!!! Whoa, I didn't fully realize how much of the nuances came from the actual game!!! I LOVE that Percy's lines were so heavily improv-ed! Yay, thank you so much, I'm happy you're enjoying my reactions!!!!!!!!!!! ^_^ I'm really having a great time with this show!!!!!

There's so much that they just adapted directly from the game! Lots of changes too, of course, which is inevitable. Once you're done with LoVM, you might want to check out some of these videos from Arsequeef (yes that is their username, no I cannot explain) that compare LoVM to moments in the original campaign. https://www.youtube.com/c/Arsequeef/videos

That's awesome!! Yeah, changes for the sake of the story flow were inevitable, but still cool that they retained so much!! LOL that's quite a name, I'm already curious about the videos! I'll keep this on hand for after I finish the show, thank you so much!!!
