Hey everyone!  Welcome back, I am back today, with episode 11 of Legend of Vox Machina!!!  Oh shoot, lots of epic fighting here, and so many good shots/lines from our crew!!  Vax vs. Vex was sad but awesome at the same time!  And I'm pretty sure this smoke thing for Percy is spinning WAY out of control!!!  He clearly was battling it and not winning in this one.  And guys, what have I been saying about the sun tree this whole time?!  Sylas is seemingly no more now but that just sends Delilah into overdrive.  And OMG tha ending!!!!
I think Kiki will finally get some respect from Vex now...if she makes it out of this!!  What a time to lose Pike's connection, ahhhhh!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

My equilibrium was shot after riding a roller-coaster. I was too out of it to comment earlier. I'm still feeling it 😵 💫 🥴 Anyways awesome episode and reaction as always. Pike and grog kicked ass, I loved Vex's worrying for Vax. So sweet. And power to Kiki ✊ 🌳

The thing is, Vex probably really likes Keyleth. She had moments where she was complimenting her ans she does trust her. But her need to keep her brother close to her is overriding all that. As for Keyleth getting hurt here instead of Vex. Without spoiling anything about the future campaign, there is actually a pretty solid reason to switch it around both in the show and knowing what happens in the campaign. In the show, it serves the plot for Vex overcoming her doubts about Keyleth. For the campaign, I can't tell you anything. And Matt Mercer, the DM for Critical Role, talked about what happened to Cassandra. She actually was both abused and brainwashed by Sylas. Basically Sylas used the mindcontrol to nudge her instead of fullon controlling her. She was told again and again how Percy abandoned her, used as a snack for Sylas and was forced to live with the Briarwoods. It is pretty likely that they wanted her to feed information to the rebels to lure them out. But the mindcontrol from Sylas was dormant in her when she met Percy. This was just her own mind and feelings. And you could see at the end of episode 9 that maybe she would be able to overcome her negative feelings for Percy. During episode 10 she got darker while confronted with her past. But I doubt the Briarwoods wanted Ripley alive so her speaking on her behalf was due to her having information. But as soon as she was in close proximity to Sylas, he reactivated the mindcontrol. This is all pretty subtle in the show but if you think about why she so suddenly switched from being indifferent and a little bit forgiving towards Percy to fullon trying to kill him, it makes sense.

Yeah that's a good point actually! Ah, good call on not telling me anything for the campaign, but it definitely made sense for the story to switch it to Keyleth here! Ohhh that's interesting about Cass!!! She was manipulated, but not directly hypnotized. Oof. Thanks for clarifying what was most likely her own will and what wasn't! That definitely adds another layer to it. It does make sense that she had it sort of reactivated once she was in closer range to Sylas. Such detail!!!!!!!!! They certainly put a lot into this story!!!
