Great ep! Enjoy!!!  ~ MH

I believe the person voicing Leia also voiced her in the Forces of Destiny from ~2015, which would be around when this was coming out. They were spot on, the way they talked sounded just like Carrie.

Have you watched Rouge 1 yet? If not spoiler incoming stop reading. Do those 3 ships they took off of Leia's hands look familiar to you?

Have to remember that there is literally only days in age between Ezra and Leia (and Ezra being the older, and both are 16 as this is 3 years out now from A New Hope remember), yet Leia already feels like the leader the Rebel Alliance needs, the way she pushes on our Ghost crew to somehow get the ships, when even they are stumped about what to do; and also the way she handles poor Lt. Lyste! Chopper sitting silently next to Ezra as he is grieving, reminds me of when a pet you have knows when something is up with you, and comes over to help comfort you. (Even when he is one of the 'delinquents' of the family!!) Using Leia's Theme as she speaks to Ezra is just so emotional, the developers knew exactly what they were doing there!! Kanan being awesome taking down that AT-AT and Ezra not being quite the same with whipping the guns away from the stormtroopers, while trying to impress Leia! Its also fun to remember that as a Skywalker, she'll have more force potential than either of them when it awakens in her! Seeing the freighters alongside the rest of Phoenix Squadron at the end, shows this rebel cell is getting bigger, perhaps suggesting other rebel cells are doing so too, and it won't be far off that the Rebel Alliance is formed. I'd love to say more about something in this episode, as its great, but I don't know if you've seen Rogue One, Mel. And yes, animals have the force in Star Wars, all living things do; but obviously most don't have access to the abilities the force can give you like force-users do. And without spoiling anything, you are going to see some mad stuff in this series!

Hmm… first off Star Wars: Attack of the Jedi Kittens series. Yay or nay? Also, I think I might have an idea who your favorite OG Star Wars character might be. Pretty much knew that scream was coming when I saw her, lol. Now regarding the episode itself, it’s actually pretty clever how Leia is managing to manipulate the Empire without giving anything away. I mean, she’s always kinda had that smirky attitude that puts people in their place. But it is popcorn eating fun to watch. Is it just me or did Zeb enjoy knocking out Kanan and Ezra a bit too much - I saw that smirk on his face when Ryder told him to “make it look good.” Later when someone pointed out he was knocking them out, he said… “I know. 😈 “ Maybe Chopper isn’t the only one we gotta worry about… 😅 Seems that Leia might be exactly the medicine the doctor ordered for Ezra, they’re the same age, and can totally relate to each other. She may be a boss, but she does have a kinder side to her as well. I think one thing that can be overlooked in this franchise is that no character really has a very happy backstory. They all have a tragedy or demons of some sort to deal with. So that’s why Leia can get through to Ezra the way she does - they’ve both grown up in the same universe. It’s never been overtly stated what their ages are, but if you put two and two together, Leia and Ezra (and Luke) are almost exactly the same age. Ezra was born on Empire Day (which I assume is the day Order 66 went out). Luke and Leia were born to Padme while Anakin was being converted into Vader after his battle on Mustafar. They can’t be more than a few days apart. How come the walker couldn’t stop the ships from escaping? It got cut off. 😉 Also that stormtrooper was right, Kanan isn’t on their side. 😂 And finally, we have an answer to the question that’s been on everyone’s mind: why does the Rebel Alliance keep getting stolen Imperial shuttles? Leia keeps taking them! We cracked the code! 🤣

Buahaha I was not expecting a Leia one. But I was here for it. The heart to heart between Leia and Ezra was sweet. She’s the perfect person to pull anyone out of their funk. Keeping the mind business for the soul to heal. I loved this one! And yes just seeing her in action with what she brings to the field is such a great treat we get to see!! 🥰

kamenriderhime

Right?! Such a wonderful surprise! And she really is the perfect person for this job. What a great way to tie her into the main story.. And oh my gosh, watching Leia do her work is wonderful isn't it! It's such a treat! Glad you loved it too!

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

They show up towards the end of the film and this episode of Rebels shows us how they got them. I picked up on it because I watched this episode and Rouge 1 around the same time.

kamenriderhime

So true, I started to remember you telling me that when I was thinking about it! Thanks for reminding me about the timeline again lol. Yes Leia feels soooo much more wise/mature than her age. Hahaha that poor Lt. didn't know what hit him!! She is quite the leader already and thinking on her feet so well. Awww I know, Chopper was being an awesome family pet in this one, despite his usual craziness and delinquent status! :P OMG the theme killed me instantly -_- Hahaha the action was great as well as you said, and so true, the force is gonna be a bit stronger with Leia even if she doesn't quite realize it now. I have seen Rogue One and someone already mentioned the ships, omg!!! I totally blanked on that but it's so cool that they introduced those here! That makes total sense that animals are connected to the force even if it's not as honed as those who actively train in it. I can't wait to see what they have in store for me here!!!

kamenriderhime

OMG JEDI KITTIES!!!! I would watch the heck out of that! YAY!!! Hehehe I have loved Leia since I was a little girl, so good guess! LOL I'm sure anyone who knew what was coming knew to cover their ears :P Oh popcorn eating fun is the best way to describe watching Leia at work here. HAHAH yeah Zeb had WAY too much fun with that...maybe Chopper is rubbing off on our crew a bit? :P Yeah Leia definitely is full of compassion and caring, and it shows here. She was just what we needed in this situation with Ezra for sure! So true that everyone has darkness or pain in their past here. Yes, I've been reminded that they're only days apart, such a fun fact! HAHAHA Yang would be proud of that joke! Oh yeah, that stormtrooper read the situation well :P Hahahaha the code has been cracked for sure!!! Thanks Leia!!!

You are going to see poor Lt. Lyste again and unfortunately he'll get his pants pulled down again! He's not a 'bad' imperial, just a gullible one! I see James above has spoken to you about Rogue One briefly, but if you remember in that film, our crew get onto Scarif to find the Death Star plans, but can't get off the surface, and the planetary shield is stopping them from transmitting the plans. Anyway during the course of the battle, they get the plans and need the shield down to transmit; which they do, as one of these ships here that Leia brings, helps take down a Star Destroyer and the shield enabling the plans to be transmitted. Rogue One was in development as Rebels was being made, so this is a great tie-in between here and the film! Also I don't know if you know that the upcoming series Andor, will be about Cassian Andor, who was the dodgy rebel that helps Jyn Erso in the end (before Tarkin blows them all up!!!).

kamenriderhime

Hahaha oh man, seems like his lot in life :P Thank you so much for explaining the specific ship it was! It's awesome that they had the foresight to tie it all in too! Ohhh I didn't realize that was the premise of Andor, makes total sense though!!! So many fun things on the horizon!

Finally caught up to your star wars animated journey! I know you say that you've been blessed with these shows, but with the rest of rebels and then bad batch in your future... Oh boy, I hope you're ready to be entertained! IMO some of the best Star Wars ever awaits you

kamenriderhime

YAY!! Thanks for watching with me! And omg, I'm already loving Rebels!! Really can't wait for more, and to move on to Bad Batch!!!!! So exciting to think of all that lies ahead!!
