Hey everyone!  Here I am with Red vs. Blue, season 9 OST!  Oh dang guys, this soundtrack did NOT disappoint!!!  From silly and amazing character songs to in-your-face hard and fast rock and rap songs, this was one wild ride!!  I mean, we got Lamar on SO many songs, we got high-pitched Jeff rocking out, tons of amazing guitar and bass, some Casey AND some Sandy, not to mention how spot on all the lyrics were!  Love that we got an anthem for Tex, a song about the freelancers, Donut the Musical, a Tucker song, etc.!!!!  Loved this season and loved this soundtrack!!!  Can't wait for more RvB soon!!!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

man as great as the season 9 ost is s10 opens with another of my favorite RvB songs

Yes Talkin that shit was not on RvB but they just added it to the soundtrack as a bonus same as a couple of other music pieces from immersion 🙏 it’s from Rooster teeth shorts which are random short vids. https://youtu.be/AWKsUEQnp7M this is where it came form. There’s also a 20 second peak at a song from season 10 on the immersion intro but only on the album purchase 😂 looks like you’ll have to wait. I like in round one it says “I’ve got a heart made of metal and I don’t feel” cause she’s a robot. Also the hells angel instrumental is the same music as the fight between reds and blues from season 8 just with more heavy rock.

Also watching you dance to the musical then noticing the lyrics and keep stopping 😂

You know, I had forgotten when Donut: The Musical came out. It's not the last time they use the subtitle "The Musical" for this show, so that's something to look forward to.

First, aren’t you glad I told you to stop and do these even though I had no idea where to find them? Which reminds me, you have given me on screen credit before, you really should give the person who’s helping you with the OSTs a shout out, I’m glad you found a source for that. Second: next time, I think you probably might need to bring a water bottle! XD At least you upgraded your chair, imagine if it was your old one. There’s a lot of ideas in these songs and something to remember is that they’re “unfiltered.” It’s nice to see Lamar get to actually show off for more than a minute or two. If you recall the original “I Burn” song they had to edit the lyrics because they didn’t want profanity on a show/ost kids would be interested in. RvB is meant for mature audiences so no issues there. Falling Towards the Sky played when they jumped off the building and On Your Knees came after Round One while the fight was still going. And yes, that was the one I was really waiting for you to get to. You asked about vocalizing - most of it for a singer has to do with how much breath they put behind it. It’s an oversimplification of course, but a singer has to be very good at controlling their airflow. Jeff, on the other hand… yeah I can’t explain him to you. The guy has a got a ridiculous register. No wonder his daughter is also a good singer. This isn’t the last time Jeff used one song to mention another. In the RWBY OST, “Nevermore” refers to “Lionize.” Well, that was fun. Like I said, remember the upcoming two miniseries both take place before the events at the end of Season 9. And well, let’s just say you won’t need to dive as deep. Plenty of time to play detective when Season 10 begins! 😉

Darn it I forgot to ask before hitting post: did this OST… blow you… away? 😁

Another fun one Tuckers, Tex, and Donut’s extravaganza musical did for me here xD

Oh okay gotcha! Thanks for the info! I'll have to check out the shorts! No worries, I'm good with waiting until it pops up during my soundtrack reaction! Ohhhhh I didn't even realize that about the instrumental, so fitting! And so is that lyric. It's pure chef's kiss!!!!!!

kamenriderhime

Yes, I'm glad I did these reactions!!! And good point, I should ask Zach if it's okay to shout out to him in a video!!! Hahahah I need to wear my aerobics gear next time for sure!! And make double check all the nuts and bolts on my chair :P Yeah that's true about being unfiltered, I do remember that in "I Burn". But here they have a bit more room to swear if they want to! Yes, I knew it as soon as I got to it!!! Yes, breath control is very important from what I know about singing!!! But Jeff is just on another level haha!! Between Jeff and Sandy, it's no wonder Casey is so incredibly talented! Plus all the work she puts into it on her own too of course. Ohhh good call about the song references in the lyrics!!! I can't wait for the miniseries, and thanks for the reminder! Hahaha you know me, I'll get all Sherlock Holmes in no time :P HAHAHAHAHA I just wanna personally thank you for getting that song re-stuck in my head now that you've mentioned it!!! And yes it did!!! XD

2022-12-31 00:41:36 I love this soundtrack and this is a great reaction. I love Tucker’s character song it is hilarious as well as sounding amazing especially the instrumental. Tucker’s voice actor has some impressive singing. The writing is honestly pretty clever somehow finding a way to work in all the dirty jokes. It’s great that Lamar just drops in as a guest, absolutely slays & then just leaves. Also while listening to it all I can think is Tucker really thinks he’s the kind of guy who can get all the women in the world but I hate to break it to him he is not that guy LOL. I think this song & the Donut musical are the perfect mix of ridiculousness and awesome music. The innuendo in the musical is almost unbelievable LMAO. I love the we got a solo Lamar song even if it didn’t connect to the show and was just a bonus. It’s so great especially how savage the lyrics were. Falling through the sky is my 2nd favorite song on this soundtrack. I love the dissonance of Casey’s part being high & strangely calm considering when the song played alongside the deeper, fast-paced Lamar parts. The lyrics were very fitting with the situation and what the freelancers are like with their strength & skill. While I love the instrumentals, vocals & lyrics in my opinion round one is just the prelude to the pure and absolute badass that is on your knees. And I agree the bull line is the best. Also I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the crazy guitar in round one. On Your Knees is my favorite song on the soundtrack & potentially my favorite of all the songs in this show simply because of how clever it is. The fact that Jeff were able to fit in almost every state into the lyrics is insane 45 of them by my count. It beautifully represents how savage & awesome Tex is especially with the song being about her efficiently and methodically destroying her opponents. I love the final song on the soundtrack & even though it’s not my favorite it is probably the best written song on the soundtrack. I think it works so well because as the audience we know everything most things about what’s going on in the project and how it hurt the freelancers after knowing Washington. The themes of betrayal and manipulation are so fitting. Also the instrumental is incredible and so iconic/catchy. The song may be awesome but it’s also sad. In regards to things you said throughout the reaction all the people who are a part of the soundtracks are such insane talents it’s so impressive & cool. It was so fun to see you grooving during this reaction :-). Musical exercise sounds amazing. Awesome reaction. Keep up the great work. :-) <3 PS take your time responding to this since I know you’re having complicated feelings about RT right now.

Hey, sorry again for taking forever! Thanks!!! And yes Tucker is actually pretty good on vocals! Lamar is always amazing too. Hahah poor Tucker, he's so not that guy. Donut the Musical was amazing and a solo Lamar song, whoa!!!! The lyrics were very heavy hitting!!! I loved the contrast on Falling Through the Sky too! YES the absolute shredding on guitar. That's nearly every state, Jeff is a genius! Good point that we the audience can see what's been going on now. They nailed these themes for sure. Couldn't agree more about the talent!!!! Haha thank you, glad you enjoyed my grooving!!! Yes musical exercise is great because otherwise, I probably wouldn't get any at all!!! I really appreciate your patience!!! Thanks again for being so awesome to me!!!
