Hey everyone!  I'm planning on filming my reactions to the first two eps of Jojo's tomorrow!  Is there any particular version I need to make sure I'm watching or anything?  Or will the one that comes up first on Crunchyroll be okay?  Thanks so much!!!  ~ MH

I'm not sure since I never watch chruchroll, but I know that there are 2 versions of Jojo's episode. One are the censored version (fore gore and smoking scene) and the version that does not censored.

Seems Netflix has the uncensored versions for most of the series https://www.reddit.com/r/DiamondIsUnbreakable/comments/ra0tp0/which_streaming_services_have_jojo_uncensored_usa/

There are some gruesome and disturbing things in this show so head up for that. Also the first and second seasons are really short while the rest of the series will be much longer. And on the last thing this show is funny and well... as the title says bizarre so expect somethings that don't really make sense but it is best to along with the madness.

Gotcha!!! I'm honestly not sure if I wanna see it uncensored lol from what I'm hearing but I feel like I've seen some stuff at this point so I'll probably be fine :)

Crunchyroll might be okay for part 1 and 2, but at some point you'll notice the name changes that the official english release HAD to make despite the Japanese dub still being allowed to use the original names. Looking it up, Some-Stuff Subs might have the subs you're looking for. Though if someone has a better option I'd try that first.

I feel like this is the most important answer here. Getting uncensored is certainly preferred, but I don't know, the week-to-week watchers managed fine. But without the "fixed" subs, you miss out on so much of JoJo's style and tone.

kamenriderhime

Hmmm!! So now I'm not sure where to watch lol. Sounds like Crunchyroll will be okay for the first few parts at least!

Senpai

Not exactly, but you'll be missing out on part of the charm. Especially if you're a big music fan. Some characters are named after bands, and at one point techniques are just named after bands and songs. xD

kamenriderhime

That sounds amazing! I don't wanna miss that! Might have to switch over after part 1 and 2! So that's season 1 and 2 bascially??

Senpai

Actually part 1 and 2 are season 1. They both had to share. xD

It should be okay for right now but the sooner you get the correct subtitles for the names of characters and moves the better. Also even though it’s less important I think having the uncensored versions would probably be better although if you would rather not have the uncensored versions I would understand. I believe the Blu-ray’s are uncensored and have correct subtitles you might be able to find those versions on a torrent site like nyaa.si or anime Tosho. You should look into this but I will try to find the best versions for you and tell you where to find them as soon as I can. Hopefully it will be easy to figure this out & have a good day/night. :-) <3

Supermonaman

Almost forgot I'm sure we can tell you about the correct names when needed/ until you can switch over.

I haven’t caught up to current so I’m not as knowledgeable but I did ask one of my friends who is up to date, and he said what’s on Crunchyroll should be fine. Hopefully that helps? 🤷‍♂️

Other than a few copyright name changes the crunchyroll version should be fine. I’ll go ahead and mention now though that Part 3 Stardust Crusaders has some really annoying/weird censorship at parts so maybe when you get there try and react to the blu-ray version which is uncensored. Crunchyroll only has the televised censored version I believe.

kamenriderhime

Awesome, good to know! I actually get my Kamen Rider from nyaa.si so that's an option! I also have no problem picking up the Blu-Rays if they're available! I truly appreciate all the help! Thanks!!!

kamenriderhime

Thanks for the info! Thinking it might not be a bad idea to pick up the Blu-Rays, anyone know if they're available at all? Thanks!
