Kamen Rider Geats 1x09 "Chance Meeting F: Wake Up! Monster" - reaction & review (Patreon)

Hey everyone!  I'm back today with Kamen Rider Geats episode 9!!!  Oh man, I KNEW there was a reason the game hadn't been "called" yet!  So Jyamato can evolve and start taking over the game in unpredictable ways???  Maybe I was wrong that this is a simulation...!!  I love the egg scenario, it's so silly yet also suspenseful for what each person might get.  This was the first time I've seen Ace in a position where he's the one learning something instead of helping teach someone else.
Gotta say, a propeller and drill are awesome, but the MONSTER!!!  And his little
noises, awwwwwww!!!  Once again, Ace wins!!!  But what's so big and surprising about his wish?!?!!?  Are we really never gonna see any of these other characters again???  I'm so intrigued!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) I did talk about an eggcellent episode huh, lol Something I just noticed with this episode, in the flashback we hear bells ringing, these are the same bells that we hear when the world is rebooted at the end of a DGP. We hear it after Ace's victory here but also in episode 1. So the flashback goes well at the end of a DGP with Ace's mother probably participating. For Pumpjack, no you don't know him, I asked myself the same question as you and after looking, it's a new character who enters the game. I was happy with myself when the identity of the game master was revealed hehe. Glad to have seen just about him and anyway, even before the revelation, when he approaches our trio with the eggs, I thought I recognized his voice, so I was already sure of his identity. To have seen the images of the next episode, I have a vague idea of the wishes of Ace and you will be half surprised I think. But yes, we are only on the ninth episode and frankly it makes me weird to think that we are already on the ninth, but that we are also only on the ninth lol. I am well engaged in the show and really happy to have made the decision for once, to follow the current series and see your reactions.

First, Buffa and Nago is fine, and they definitely be in the game again. Remember the game on first ep? The 3 survivor are Geats, Shirowe (Polar Bear), and Buffa. After the game ended, only Geats and Buffa survived, but Geats win the game, so Buffa is retired. But, Buffa is also in the next game! I say that they will be in the next game too. The question is... what about Tycoon? He's retired before the game end, but he's also the one we think would be the main character. He's even in the opening! I'm quite sure he will come back, the question is how? Here's my assumption. The next game gonna be so hard that they can't make it with 4 of them (Geats, Buffa, Nago, PunkJack) or else, so they need to call up an emergency action, calling the retired player! And that's will be how Tycoon get back in the game. Ok then, I think there's no Rider next week. So, this might be the time for SaberxZenkaiger. I'm not sure when will Revice movie come out, but it has been nore than a season now, SaberxZenkaiger must be released some where. Ok, I don't know what to say more. Someone told me that there are someone try to figure out what written on Ace's desire card, but it is not confirmed, only 90% sure. It might be good to keep it a secret for now.

So, before I get into the lingering thoughts: it was said in the “preview” that they’re talking about “on the next ‘Season’. Also, apparently, they’ll be taking a week off. The next episode, according to the preview on this one, won’t air in Japan until November 13. There’s not a whole lot to go on here that isn’t already been covered. I don’t think anything’s wrong with any of the Riders who were “retired,” including the other two in this episode. Ace won, so they lost. I having a sneaking suspicion we aren’t done with any of them, Keiwa included. Also that was Punkjack at the end, who was referred to as a game admin… and he seems really happy about the next stage… Game Master probably knows who he is, but that’s wasn’t really a big surprise. (What’s with the Darth Vader wannabe voice synthesizer though)? The lingering questions to answer: what’s the deal with the Jyamoto’s unexpected evolution, what’s the story with Ace’s mother, and why are they so hesitant to grant Ace’s wish this time? Is he not asking for the same thing each round? If so, then what’s his endgame, and what’s his strategy to achieve it? I don’t know if this “season finale was really all it was cracked up to be. They just kept egging the characters on and on, until they made an omelet out of everything. Well, I guess the yolk is on all of us for watching this far. We must have our brains scrambled. So far the series has been rather hard boiled. Phew, I can probably use the break, my brain is fried. 🥚 😎

I thought we’d get at least one more battle. A one on one so I’m not sure what next episode will bring but good on Ace. I just have a lot of questions on this one that are too many to list. I’ll need to wait till next week to trim them down. The form was cool tho I loved the design ⭐️ 🌟 💫

Ok good, I was wondering lol, thanks for clearing that up! Hehehe yes, you called it about the game master!!! Ooooh can't wait for the next ep!! I know, it's hard to believe that we've come this far in only 9 eps!! Yay, I'm so happy you decided to watch along with me, too!!!! ^_^

Yeah I know!!! Me too, I guess we'll see what happens! I think they're off this week for something going on in Japan but we'll get some answers, hopefully, the following week! Yeah the design was sweet!!!

Yes, thanks for clearing that up! I started to put it together lol. Ohhh, so there will be another game with them in it, hmm!! Yeah we haven't seen Keiwa...!! Yes, I hope you're right, that makes sense and I'd love to see him again! Ah yes, I'm dying to see some of the specials that are coming out! Unfortunately, the break couldn't have come at a better time because this week is a bit chaotic for me. I don't think I'll be able to fit in a special!!!! :( I'm sorry!!! I'll post more about it in a bit. Ooooh yes let's keep it a secret because then I'll be extra surprised!!!

Ah yes, thanks for the info about the next ep! And I think you're right, they're fine - started to put that together, sorry for the confusion. Yeah that makes sense about Punkjack and the Game Master. LOL maybe he likes to sound like Darth Vader :P Oh I know, there's so many questions about the Jyamato, Ace's mom, and Ace's wishes.....!!! Why does he keep wishing for these things?? It's gotta be to get to his mom, but why not just wish that??? So intriguing. LOL stop, the puns are killing me!!!!!!!!!! XD Also, have you seen Kamen Rider W? Because when you said hard boiled, that's where my mind went! :P

If it took THAT to wake Monster up, I'm almost a little shocked Buffa didn't get Monster since he dared to deliberately crack his egg first. xD Of course maybe it *needed* to be used to parry the final boss's attack in order to get something strong like Monster. Regardless, it's grown on me since I first saw it... I remember hearing the standby loop for it for the first time, and thinking that it was just a joke. Poor thing has to be bopped in the head tho in order to activate the finisher. ; o; ...Also they could've used Monster/Boost, but I hope they're just saving it. ; v; Though if Monster's already this strong, how strong is Monster/Boost going to be? ALSO WHO ARE YOU PUNK-JACK?! I gotta know more about him.... I hope I can root for this dude, unlike the Panda kid. Like if I can't root for the polar bear, I'll go with the pumpkin bear. o< ...Also like... is he just allowed to spectate if he's staff or something? I have a feeling at this point things are about to change(aside from whatever Ace wished for THIS time. xD) now that we've had a full taste of what a Desire Grand Prix is like... The Propeller weapon was from Kamen Rider Build(I think the Helicopter Full Bottle?), while the Drill was Kamen Rider Birth's drill weapon.

Oh yeah, that's not a bad point haha. Maybe it does have to be used for that reason. It's so adorable right!!! LOL I know, he has to be bonked on the head to be activated!! Oh yeah, I'd love to see Monster/Boost! I know, I'm dying to know more about PunkJack!!! Hopefully he's not a jerk lol. Good point, he's just spying on everything, what's that about. Yeah things are about to take a turn for sure, not sure in which direction though. And the wish!!! So much suspense lol. Ohhh thanks for the info on the references, that's awesome!!!

I'm going to assume it's staff, because if *any* Rider not in the current DGP can just spectate, that's probably bad news. 😱 Like I can imagine the Riders that killed Buffa's friend would take advantage of that... I'm just hoping Punk Jack's a goofball ball. I don't care if he's evil, just as long as he's a lovable goof like Knuckle from HxH or something. C:
