Hey everyone!!!  I'm back with episode 11 of Andor!  Oh dang, so much going on in this one, and I'm over here just hoping and praying that Cassian does not fall into one of the MANY TRAPS being set for him by all kinds of parties!!!  Poor Marva!!!
And poor Bee!!!  :(  Cassian's free, but again, who knows for how long since so many folks are after him.  I felt bad for Mon and we got to see yet another display of Luthen's ruthless determination to see things through.  Looks like we're throwing Syril back into the mix too, dang!!!  What on earth is gonna happen?!  Can't wait to find out!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

“We’ve only gotten 11 episodes.” Yeah, 11 episodes out of 12, that are each close to an hour, when just about every other series gets way less than that. I’ll say it again: you’re spoiled. 😅 B2EMO was acting exactly like a pet who had lost their master, I was about to say something if you didn’t. Just to be clear, Luthen never actually gave an order for Cassian’s “demise.” Vel and Cintra have come to that conclusion on their own without his input. He’s merely said to his extent, he’s compromised himself with Cassian. Regarding Leida and her cultural practices, I do not think what they are doing is something the Empire is outlawing. Apparently Chandrilan customs are extremely archaic, right down to the betrothals, and Leida is practicing the customs of her own will. Mon herself sounds like her marriage was arranged in a similar fashion. Did Bix confirm Anto Kreegyr as the Empire’s target or not? Who knows? Eedy (Syril’s mom) has to be one of the nosiest parental figures I’ve seen. No wonder Karn keeps to himself. 😂 The Narkinians who help Cassian and Melshi escape remark that all of the prisons working on their planet have ruined their fishing. More imperial greatness right? I think Luthen is trying to make a point with how matter of fact he is: he’s making the hard decisions so others won’t be burdened by them. He tells Saw because he has to, but he tells him he doesn’t know what Saw will do. Saw prices him right with his paranoia: a point Luthen uses to get his point of view across to him. He didn’t want anyone else to have to live under the weight of that choice. In a way, his intentions are noble, but like Saw said… it’s war. Luthen is ready to live with the sacrifices he needs to make. Saw and Mon have their own decisions to make on what they’re going to be able to live with. Luthen’s ship spun and - used really long lightsabers to kill two TIE fighters? “I really hope he doesn’t go back…” Hmmm. It’s the season finale, and all the characters are converging on the same plot point. Have you learned nothing about storytelling? You know he’s going to show up. The plot demands it. 😂

B2EMO can have someone wanting to hug an irobot 😔 😢 💔

A quieter episode, but one thats putting the pieces into place for the finale on Ferrix. Poor B2EMO, I've always felt sorry for that droid, but he looks so alone now as he tries to process grief after Maarva's passing. He does need a hug, but I was thinking, try giving Chopper a hug and see where that gets you! :p Fans were going ballistic the first time that helmet in Luthen's shop was seen. Its from a game series called Force : Unleashed, where your character plays as Starkiller, Darth Vader's apprentice (hence you thinking of the link to him), who is played by Sam Witwer, who you'll know by now Mel, plays Maul in the animations. Anyway, long story short, there is a light path and a dark path. You take the dark path and you'll get that Sith armour and helmet. There is something else in that shop that is very relevant to another SW show you have been watching. I'll let you know when you get there though, as its potentially quite something... Bix is caught in her own hellhole as Cassian was in jail. Even if she tells the imps the truth, there is a good chance they won't believe her and so the cycle of torture, questioning, torture, questioning continues. I think Andor will look to get her out in the finale somehow, but what state will she be in by then? Mon's daughter going to 'the old ways' perhaps as a form of rebellion against her mother, may actually suit Mon Mothma in the long run, as she can take Davo's 'deal' to get her started fully in the fight; however she is questioning the cost to her ideals, and her daughter's freedom, were she to accept the proposal. I said in an earlier episode that Luthen is like Batman; well here he is, just like Batman flying his Batwing in escaping that cruiser! Awesome! Lets hope we get more of his story to find his background. It didn't click with me as I first watched this, but during Andor's call back to Ferrix, he tells the comms guy that Maarva would be proud of him. After he gets the news and bids farewell to Melshi, who will join the Rebellion with him later, he looks at the beach. This is reminiscent of his death scene in Rogue One, where he tells Jyn that her father would be 'proud of you', as they both look to the sea as the Death Star's explosion comes to vaporise them.

Lol I truly am spoiled, not gonna argue with that! Oh that's true, I suppose the exact order was never given but.....yeah you'd think he'd be more specific if he was trying to spare his life :P Oh right, makes sense it's not something outlawed, just something more or less outdated I guess? I don't even know what poor Bix did in that situation!!! No surprise that the fishing is yet another thing that the Empire touched and turned to crap. Hmm, that's an interesting take about the somewhat nobility of Luthen's actions with Saw. LOL were those lightsabers??!? That's awesome! Hahaha yeah, not sure why I even bother saying things like that at this point!!! :P

For sure! I know, poor B!!! LOL I mean Chopper is basically the family cat, so, one would get VERY scratched haha! Ohhhh no kidding about the helmet! WHOA, Vader's apprentice....Sam Witwer....how have I not seen this?!?! Ooooh can't wait to know more about that other Easter egg, once it's no longer spoilery to what I'm watching! Poor Bix! I don't even know what will happen to her! Yeah, I mean on paper Mon's daughter doing the tradition thing could help with this particular situation, but I totally get how that feels like selling out to her, bigtime. Hahahaha he was totally Batman here, fancy vehicle gadgets and all!! OHHHHH that IS reminiscent of the death scene, wow!!! I had not even put that together, good call!!!

I also saw another remark from someone elsewhere about Luthen's ship escape scene that fits in very well with his speech in the previous episode, and what he is trying to do in general. The ship puts him in a tractor beam, and he pushes back with his thrusters - to provoke a reaction. The Empire responds by trying to grip him further and he releases the countermeasures that will be increased in speed due to the increased pull from the cruiser ("I use the empire's own weapons against them"). He then takes out four of their ships and escapes, stunning the Empire - this can't happen (?) they must think; just like Aldhani.

kamenriderhime

Oh that's such a great point, I hadn't even picked up on the subtext! That all rings really true, wow!

Getting to see what really started to make Saw paranoid was so great, another awesome scene between the two. And I think I can safely say that Luthen’s ship is one of my favorites after this episode. My mouth was hanging open the whole time!

Haha neither did I, it was a great spot! It shows how good visual storytelling is throughout the franchise, as you saw with Rebels yesterday, Tales Of The Jedi the other week, Clone Wars, Andor here etc. When done right its great stuff :)
