Hey everyone!  Here I am with more Mob Psycho 100 - episode 10 of the third season!!!!  WOW!!!!  I did NOT see things going this way at all!!!!  What on earth even happened?  It's like Mob's powers just took over and became their own entity!
And there's nothing he can even do about it!  Shoot, Teru was really out there proving just what kind of friend he is in this one!  But seriously, how are we ever gonna come back from this?  Also, Claw / Dad / Boss guy has shown up on cleanup duty, that should be interesting!!  What an ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) That's why I said his status was "???????" last week. Because as Teru says, it reminds him of when Mob lost consciousness in front of him and his power took over. It's also the "thing" that scares Ritsu and traumatized him when they were little and got mugged. This is called "???????" in the series, and we saw it a few times, but each time it was scary. Luckily, Shigeo isn't alone anymore, he has an army of friends willing to do anything for him like Teru and I think that's the point of this ending, that everyone who loves Shigeo is there to bring him back and can be indeed that it will separate from its capacities. All the series has shown that Shigeo / Mob was the most powerful esper and made him grow, wouldn't the end be to make Shigeo what he wants, to be a normal person surrounded by friends. Frankly, if that's the end, I would be satisfied and Mob Psycho will have been for me one of the best anime ever.

“Mob, are you having some kind of EPISODE?” - was that line the creators breaking the fourth wall? 🙃 Also Melissa, you need a Snickers? You look a bit hangry. 😂 Okay, so let’s start with the beginning: My guess is the reason Mob did t use his powers to save the kid is two-fold: one, he reacted without thinking, because, well, he’s Mob. At least he is at that time. Second, there might be a cooldown time before he can pull that trick again. Anyway, he was definitely hit by the van and suffered a critical injury - now based on what else we’ve seen following the theory that comes to mind for me is this: he’s experienced kind of a psychological break. Sort of like a split personality, but not EXACTLY. This entity, whatever it is or wants, is going off completely on autopilot. It actually didn’t even seem to be even aware of what it was doing to everything around it. Until Teru intervenes. There’s a lot of “shoe is on the other foot” in that scene, but the most notable thing to put on here is that whatever Mob is doing, he reacted to Teru’s attempt to destroy the bouquet and after that his focus was directly on him until the end of the battle. Speaking of, Mob’s real personality hasn’t even been conscious this whole tone until Teru got close enough to scream at him. If the eyes are the window to the soul, the gaze Mob’s body has right now is pretty soulless and terrifying. This is exactly what Mon himself was afraid of. I think it was in a previous season where he asked indirectly, “if I ever go out of control, would anyone be powerful enough to stop me?” So my theory is this is not the first character who’s gotten a little over their skis this season and had a similar arc. I don’t think whatever this alter ego is will be able to be talked down or dealt with directly through force. Teru tried. (Quick side note: I’m not sure if he’s gone or he’s just passed out from using all his power to save everyone. The way they left that scene was ambiguous so holding for now.) I think it’s time for someone with a different set of skills to come back from outer space, don’t you? That’s my shot in the dark and I’m sticking to it. Have no idea if it’s right or not.

Hi Spadeas! :) Yes, good way to put it!! It was just like what happened with Teru when they first met, and also Ritsu, which had slipped my mind, good call! That's right, he has so many people around him who care now. Such a good point that what we saw in this ep is that he really does have that. I too feel like the big point of this series has not been about Mob's powers, but about him as a person, growing and fostering these close relationships. I'm dying to see the rest of the series but I can tell you I already agree on the high ranking!!

Hahahaha it's an EPISODE alright :P I always need a Snickers!!! I'm like the Hulk, my secret is that I'm always hangry :P Good point, didn't think about the cooldown, but I pretty much figured he just acted too fast without thinking. Hmm, interesting theory about the entity being a result of some kind of psychological break. Or even maybe just the intense physical trauma? Mob being unconscious/dying?? Right, the bouquet was important!!! That's a big deal! Good call on Mob asking who would stop him previously! And yeah, he wasn't even aware until Teru looked right at him up close. True, I doubt that force alone will stop this out-of-control state! I'm hoping Teru's okay too, I could definitely see how maybe he's just passed out. You know what, I was actually thinking during this ep, I wonder if this is how they'll bring the aliens back!!! Lol!!!! At least that would help that whole plot to make more sense too!!
