Hey everyone!  Here's my next reaction to MHA!  WHOAAA!!!  OH DANG!!!  You guys, never EVER would I have guessed the comeback in this one!!!  And I can't tell you how much I needed it!!!  I'm so beyond proud of Mirio, Eri, and everyone here....you can just see how everyone is giving it their all.  And ALL the actions taken by the heroes to this point - even if they didn't seem like it at the time, it all built up to that antiesthetic kicking in!!!  There's a beautiful lesson in there about doing what you can!  Also Izuku's words about Endeavor were pretty shocking, but true!!!  What an ep!  Can't wait for more!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) I predicted a shout of joy and a ooooow, I was right. I knew seeing Mirio back would almost make you jump out of your chair and seeing Eri would bring out your maternal instincts. But yes, all this happens in a few hours and that's a lot of things in a short time. It really is a very busy arc with lots of twists and turns. It's really like the game of tug of war, where everyone pulls on his side, once the heroes have the advantage, then the villains, then the heroes ect ect. Just what it takes to keep you going.

Cody

It took a lot to not scream when I saw Mirio’s cape. I didn’t think he’d be back this soon! Also I can’t help but think of Zuko vs Azula from ATLA when watching Dabi and Todoroki fight. And I love how Deku perfectly summarized Endeavor’s growth.

Kevin

If you look back at the scene where Eri is sitting on All Mights lap, a few episodes back, you can see that er horn is small. Its easier to catch in the manga because its a still image, but at that point we could guess that she used it on something.

kamenriderhime

Hi Spadeas! :) Hahah yes you did! OMG, I would have never guessed Mirio would come back, but I'm so glad!! And Eri too!! It's a super busy and short-timed arc for sure. Such a good analogy about the tug of war. Can't wait for more!

kamenriderhime

Ahhhhh I'll bet!! Me neither!! Oh yeah I could totally see the Avatar vibes!!! He summed it up just right, right??

Nathan Poulain Cigrand

ok I'm not gonna lie, the birth of Dynamight, the return of Best Jeanist AND Lemillion, Endeavor knocking himself out... I cried a bit watching that episode. Loved your reaction, I'll be waiting for the next one :)

kamenriderhime

SOOO MUCH good stuff, I don't blame you!!! So glad you loved my reaction, hope you love my next one too!!! ^_^

2023-01-15 19:53:52 I love this episode. I didn’t really like the recap but I think showing all the big moments was okay with how it connected to Izuku talking about everyone’s hopes and desires being connected. Also the scale of Machia is even crazier seeing Izuku sitting next to him. Best J’s jump out of the plane was animated better than it had any right to be LOL. I also love Best J’s clothing/thread metaphors, word play and puns. I think it’s great how he taunts Toya. I’m sure there is some quirk out there that can make a dead body look like someone else or make a fake but realistic body like alchemy which is probably how they tricked him. Although he is right that his past is still reality and of course he directs that towards Shoto the person he hates most after Endeavor since he probably blames his brother for his father ignoring him that led to whatever horrible things Toya went through. I think it’s so interesting to learn Machia’s limits. It shows his desperation but Spinner biting Shiggy’s entire head is hilarious. Nejire’s scream after being burned is so visceral. Yeah Dabi was being metaphorical basically saying you created me Endeavor so anyone I hurt is someone you hurt which is insane logic but he is crazy. I love his laughter it sounds deranged and the way it gets so high-pitched is impressive voice acting. Toya looks like a demon from the pits of hell or like you said death is incredible from a design standpoint but also horrifying & terrifying. It looks like Best J is pushing himself and the injury he got from all for one is most likely the cause since he isn’t even fully healed at this point. The clashes of red and blue fire between siblings reminds me of Avatar the last airbender. I honestly don’t think this means anything but I think it’s interesting that 1 of the times Todoroki attacks his brother it’s with his hand in a position that looks like he’s trying to reach out to him. I love that he confronts him about almost killing Natsuo because it’s well-written but it’s so sad. It’s truly horrible to see how insane Toya only caring about destroying his father in every way possible. It’s sad but I really don’t think it’s possible to reach him and bring him back from this madness. It’s interesting & sad that Shigaraki’s still affects and pushes him forward but it was good for him since it allowed him to issue an order. Also I love how much Spinner worries and cares about Shiggy. It makes sense that Machia gets stronger with orders because of his power that turns morale into energy and he is so devoted to his master anything to do with his master would increase his morale immensely. Burnin’s quirk is so cool seeing her create blades made of fire. Nomu’s becoming smarter the longer they are awake at the high end level is 1 of the scariest things to me. The high end that attacks Burnin was pointed out to look like a lamprey a weird fish by a comment I saw. Mirio’s return was so exciting when I realized what was happening although after hearing about it I think the reveal is better in the manga because he isn’t really shown until he appears to save Best J. Also it emphasizes the strength of the high ends that the heroes lost so many to kill like 6 or so of them. It’s hard to watch Izuku feel useless and see everyone be in such a desperate state. I love that 1 of the big reasons he is feeling so bad is because of how much pain Todoroki must be going through. Izuku not caring about pain reminds me of when the training camp was attacked in season 3. The line no one has been saved yet hits hard with what he is like as well as some things in the past like all might talking about not being able to save everyone. Hearing power and seeing that beautiful, smiling face made me so damn happy. Also apparently in the fan translation when the chapter came out in Japanese Mirio says Poggerss instead of power which is hilarious LOL. I love the visuals around his ability it’s just cool. I love the flashback of Eri it’s so good. The way she looks towards Aizawa like a father asking permission to help Mirio it’s adorable. I love how concerned about her feeling like she’s being used because of her past. It’s interesting to see rewind used on lizards. Obviously Eri looks happier but I also like how she looks more mature at least to me. Mirio brings so much light to the show & I love that everyone starts rallying once he shows up. Bakugo’s leveled up explosions are beautiful. He thinks he’s stronger because of facing death I think it’s because he has fully embraced the kind of hero he wants to be which I love. This moment for him was so awesome. I really enjoy his relationship with Best J. His new hero name is hilarious and amazing especially being inspired by all might. Everyone’s reactions to the name are fantastic and it’s great how even the villains react LOL. It’s great to see Mirio use what Nighteye always said as his motto. It’s messed up to see Endeavor broken as well as Dabi’s happiness about it. I think using float & black whip to move while injured is clever. Also I love that he was inspired to use black whip in a new way by Tsu. The confrontation between Izuku & Toya is great especially as a call back to the sports Festival. I love that the words it’s your quirk not his that helped Todoroki so much back in season 2 help Endeavor here. Toya isn’t wrong completely with the state of hero society but I think it says a lot about the heroes here that they are fighting with everything they have that makes him wrong about justice collapsing. Endeavor using the last of his energy to deal enough damage to Machia that the anesthetics finally worked in such an awesome moment. Many people including me thought Macha was about to pull an attack on Titan and eat Endeavor thankfully that wasn’t the case. Best J’s speech about threads being woven into strong rope is so good I’m glad everyone’s efforts weren’t in vain especially the other students at the Villa. It’s hilarious & wholesome that Iida respects Bakugo’s hero name by saying the whole thing. I think after hearing someone else say the whole name Bakugo will realize it’s not the best name & settle for his hero name being Dynamight LOL. Here’s some really cool and interesting information about the name from a YouTube comment by Josh Kutlo “I feel like the cleverness of Bakugou's hero names have always been lost in translation. Bakugou's name is the combination of the kanji Baku(爆), meaning bomb and go(豪), meaning powerful, so Bakugo literally means powerful bomb. Furthermore The word for explosion is bakuhatsu(爆発) ,so Bakugou's name shares the same first kanji as the word for explosion. The first hero name we see him take is translated to King Explosion Murder, but in japanese its Bakusatsuou(爆殺王). It is made of the following kanji: -Baku(爆) we already know means bomb, it shares a kanji with explosion, and is the first kanji of Bakugo's name -Satsu(殺) means killing/murder -Ou(王) means king So Bakugo's first hero name is a play on his name, it keeps his first kanji and adds king and murder to it, all while sounding very similar to the word for explosion(bakuhatsu vs Bakusatsuou). Now we've got our boy's true hero name, translated as Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight. In japanese it's Daibakusasshin(大爆殺神) Dainamaito. Dynamight is an obvious combination of dynamite and might, inspired by All Might, while Daibakusasshin is made up of the following kanji: -Dai(大) meaning great -baku(爆) satsu(殺) are from his old name -shin(神) meaning god. So bakugo took his old hero name, realized he has ascended from a king to a god, and added the word great to make sure everyone knows how great he is, while keeping the old word play in his name and adding a new meaning. His new name uses the kanji satsu(殺) and shin(神),but pronounced sasshin which means renewal/ reform. So Bakugo is acknowledging that he has grown, but that he is also still a great exploding murder god. Dudes a legend.” I love it. You say run playing when it does feels like it’s playing for the villains since it is focusing on Compress. About Eri obviously they can’t push her but also there is a limitation to her quirk which is she needs to stockpile energy for it to work. It took 6 months give or take to have enough energy to help Mirio so she is not a get out of jail free card. Also I swear to God if anything happens to her I will want to murder the author. Awesome reaction & discussion keep up the great work. :-) <3

Yeah the meat and potatoes of this ep was really great! So true about the crazy proportions of Machia and also Jeanist's animation haha. Oh good call about the quirk or alchemy. And also about Shoto's interpretation of all of this. It is interesting to learn Machia's limits. And I agree about the head biting lol! Yeah the VA for Toya / Dabi killed it here. And he really did look evil and demented. He's definitely super far gone and working on some twisted logic. Also I can totally see the Avatar vibes! Burnin's flames were sweet, and yeah, it is kinda nice to see the bond between league members like Spinner and Shigaraki. The Nomus sort of evolving in intelligence is scary! I adored Mirio's return!! Also yes it's so sad and sweet to see Izuku worried about Todoroki. Hahahha poggers!!!!!!!!!! :P Oh I know, I loved the flashback too! Eri definitely looks happier and I love Mirio considering her first and foremost. Mirio is a ray of sunshine!!! And Bakugo's embrace of who he wants to be, complete with powered up explosions, is amazing! His hero name was incredible hahha, loved the homage! Yeah Izuku was really being clever there with using his black whip and float that way. OMG if Machia had eaten Endeavor I don't think I'd ever be the same, what the heck lol!!!! Hahah the name is a bit long but I do like Dynamight! OMG that is such an amazing and thorough analysis of Bakugo's names, whoa! I never realized that there was actually a good symbol of growth in there too, and all the interpretations of his actual name. Thanks for sharing! OMG I hear you about Eri, they'd better not even think about harming a hair on her sweet head! And yeah, good point that it's not a get out of jail free card either. Thank you so much!!!! I truly appreciate your support!!!
