Hey everyone!  I'm back today with Kamen Rider Geats episode 17!!!  Geats is BACK baby!!!!  And wow, we've got a whole new "season", a whole new show format, a new Game Master, etc.  Interesting about the popularity rules - so we're going on much more than just cunning and strength this time around.  Feels very Hunger Games-ish in that they're all aware of these rules now too, and the audience participation.  We have some new players who I'm pretty intrigued about and can't wait to get to know better!  And poor Michinaga, who even knows what's gonna happen to him...!!!  Also are they bringing dead players back, or just having Jyamato mimic their appearance?  Cause either way I'm pretty sure that was a Rider who died in the past at the end!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I would love that as a finale for the show. I don't mind if they only do it in a movie though, just as long as we see something like that. I mean 10 vs 10 shouldn't be *that* bad to film, considering the Super Sentai x Kamen Rider films. xD He just seems like he'd be the most competent at being the Imposter, aside from maybe Geats. I could see Neon being a good left-field choice, and I flat out don't think it's Keiwa. I don't think it's Lopo either, unless there's a side of her that we're completely unaware of yet. Yeahh... I mean *someone* has died in each DGP, and there's only a tiny handful of players this time around... I don't think Ace, Keiwa, or Neon are going to die anytime soon either... So.... ; x; I'm realllll worried for Lopo.

Keiwa be gettin the DISRESPECT this round, also can we agree that Lopo looks like an off-brand Vulcan??? XDD Also they were straight up doing the Spider-Man pointing meme during the 'Spy' bit and this just turned into a game of Among Us, find the imposter or else the imposter wins XDDD, but meet new form originally from the Geats x Revice Movie, the Power Builder Form, it even has a slot in the buckle to combine with smaller buckles like Hammer or Water, that's how he summonsed the giant sword, hammer and blaster. That part where they were peaking their heads out is just a full on meme template XDDD, can we also agree that Ace's finisher was a liiiiitle bit overkill???? Like dude just took out a megazord sword on the principal XDDD. and the big reveal at the end where the Jyamato TOOK HUMAN FORM OF THE FIRST RIDER WE SAW IN THE FIRST EPISODE! He looks like he's infected when he's not! But what if the Jyamato evolve so far beyond expectations that they become perfect duplicates of humans with no green veins, it might take "Trust Last" to a whole new level. but what about.....if Keiwa had to fight a Jyamato version of Gin-Pen aka the father with a sick kid who died in Keiwa's arms in his very first round......The conflict within him.....might drive him nuts......

Hi Hime :) Now you know why I said "poor Keiwa" Keiwa being "sidelined" is pretty meta for me. The authors have made him a public favorite with a strong "main character" aura. Now it is set aside, hidden and cut, which inevitably makes US react as viewers, including us as viewers of THIS tv show and not just Kamen Rider Geats. For the one that we see appearing at the end, it is the third Kamen Rider who was with Ace and Michinaga at the very beginning of the series and died at that time to protect Keiwa it seems to me. So someone that Michinaga rubbed shoulders with for at least a game and saw him die. For our two new participants, physically speaking, I find them both to my taste hehe. But I appreciate that they are not immediately marked as evil. Nagle-Sparrow is the brain and will surely be the one to discover secrets or solve puzzles, while Lopo is the muscles and everything related to physical activity. If these two team up, it could turn out badly for our trio, but we still see them making friends with Neon at least (Keiwa is less lucky again...). We'll see in the next episode, but it brings a new dynamic. Speaking of new dynamics, our new Game Master is 180° different from the old one. But since we're more in a show now, it's normal to have a "presenter" more than a game master. It may surprise us though. Ah and in relation to what is said, that if Ace is indeed the son of Mitsume, his existence could shake the foundations of the DGP or something like that, that brings me back to my theory in which I said that Ace could have been born in THIS world and would therefore be one of a kind. I had spoken of a good episode and I remain on this observation.

I think it actually makes sense that Keiwa might be the spy. I don't know when they offered him this role, but maybe he thinks that becoming desire deity is just not possible when someone like Ace is still in it. That's why he tries to win this way. All he has to do is not get caught until the final round and if he succeeds, all the people who died will be revived.

UGGGGGGGGGGGGGH, I SHOULD HAVE MADE THIS PREDICTION LAST WEEK, OR PRESENTED THE THOUGHT LIKE I PLANNED TO. BUT HOLY CRAP, ARE WE BUILDING UP TO AN EVENTUAL TEAM ON TEAM BATTLE?! RIDERS VS JYAMATO RIDERS?! WITH BIG TEAMS?! When the promos for the series came out, I thought that they were going to start off with something where all the riders(in the shot, so around like 9ish or so?) were on the same team. Like it was one big team effort. The series quickly reminded me it was the whole elimination thing, BUT LOOK AT THAT OP. YOU CAN'T TELL ME THERE'S NOT A TEAM BATTLE ON THE HORIZON! But I hope it's the gimmick for the final DGP for the series. A collection of EVERY Rider that shown up in the show, both alive AND dead, all brought together for the ultimate contest! ALSO NO! I WANTED SHIROWE BACK, BUT NOT LIKE THIS! NOT LIKE THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS- I'm liking this arc already, it's turning everything we know so far on it's head. As for who the IMPOSTER is.... ...My boring, but probably most likely answer would be the Sparrow guy. I mean sure he found the secret mission, but he also just didn't really do anything SUPER amazing. At least not: "40% approval rating" level of amazing! Especially since poor Neon got caught up in the attack! But was that attack of his REALLY anything to write home about? ...It'd make more sense if he was the imposter. That he ended up getting high approval rating because not only did he make it through the round without major suspicion, but he even found a way to attack another player without the system recognizing it as friendly fire and deducting points. If I want something exciting and maybe a twist, I would say that it's actually Geats. And it'll be how he'll win this season's DGP, snatching victory right out of the jaws of defeat like one tricky fox. ...Though if Buffa gets involved in this Season's DGP at all, I'm betting all in it's him. Also I really like Lopo, I honestly hope she sticks around for a while. But I'm worried for her, because if Buffa comes back at any point this season... She has the Zombie Buckle, and I'm *sure* he'll be wanting to take that back. I'm just scared what he's going to do once he reaches her in order to get it, because well... I don't feel like she has the same plot armor that Ace, Neon, or even Keiwa has. ; 3; BTW... The Powered Buckle comes with three Gigant Raise Buckles... Which much like Armed Buckles, the Gigant Buckles are repainted props from past Rider/Sentai shows! The Blaster combines a prop from Ryusoulger(Part of the Shadow Raptor's gun for the handle) and the Zectrooper weapon from Kamen Rider Kabuto, while the Hammer belonged to a Sentai villain from Gokaiger by the name of Dyrandoh. However most infamously, the sword is the main weapon of the Toqger robot!

Jotage

The new buckle that Geats used this episode was actually used by the main villain of the Kamen Rider Geats X Revice crossover movie which was released in theaters on December 23rd. Continuity wise the film took place between episodes 15 and 16 of Geats.

Boy, just when I thought Keiwa was earning some respect… I mean I get he’s not exactly the most shining light but even NEON forgot he was there…? Girl, we’re gonna need to have a short “discussion” with you… So anyway, everyone’s boarding together now, the girls have already drawn a line in the floor and there are cameras everywhere… is this turning into Big Brother? The “Desaster” scenario being presented seems very reminiscent of a popular game that rose up while everyone was stuck inside in 2020 called “Among Us.” The basic premise was there was a group of people trapped in a spaceship and trying to fix it by doing different tasks. Except one plays as an Impostor and tries to go around and kill all the other players without them being found out, so they have to kill the players without being seen or leaving a trail. While there’s not an actual kill order here, the concept seems very similar. Honestly, you think Keiwa was probably the least likely but I’m thinking…. Doesn’t that make him perfect for this particular game? Everyone else has a air of shadiness about them already. Who’s going to expect the “purest” character to be the traitor? Anyway, I thought Jojo was going to be the height of our weirdness this week. Nope. We have a bunch of loyal delinquents, a studying Jyamoto and Geats… made the final boss by building his office!? I’m unable to compute all this in my brain at the moment because it refuses to make sense… Regarding the higher ups it seems they don’t believe Ace is telling the truth about Mitsume which begs the question: where is she, what’s she doing and why is everyone so eager to protect her? Meanwhile Michinaga woke up from the weirdest “dirt nap” ever… sorry, not sorry. You know what I’m tapping out here, I think I’ve had enough weirdness for one week. 😆

Yeah I mean, I could definitely see that being a plausible and quite interesting route to take! The reward might outweigh all the subterfuge for him, and he's so innocent that he wouldn't be suspected very much.

I know!!!! And omg I can totally see the resemblance to Vulcan haha. LOL were they, that's awesome! So cool that it's from the movie. OMG I couldn't agree more about the meme potential lol. Hahaha omg it was total overkill!! OMG I knew that's who that was, thanks for confirming!!! Yeah it's scary to think of how fast they're evolving, we could eventually have a Cylon situation on our hands where we honestly can't tell the difference! Ohhhh that would be awful for Keiwa if he had to fight a duplicate of that guy...sheesh...!!!

Hi Spadeas! :) I know, it's so weird to see him get sidelined! And so true, we're not only watching Geats now, but the reality show itself. Gotcha, I thought that's who it was! Wow, must be really bizarre for Michinaga. Glad you like the new Riders hehe! And I agree, it was wise to not set them up as "bad" from the start. Yeah they could definitely make trouble for us. Hmm, good point that this is more of a "host" then a game master, but I guess time will tell! That's true, it does fit with your theory quite a bit doesn't it!!! It's making more and more sense!

LOL when we start getting weirder than Jojo, that's when you know you're in trouble! Yeah, the fact that they wouldn't even believe it says a lot. So many questions! OMG a team on team battle makes a lot of sense actually!!! Especially if they bring in ALL the riders at the end, whoa. I knoooow, this is not how I pictured it lol. I think you're right about Sparrow guy, I could totally see that being plausible, particularly after the most recent ep. But the twist of it actually being Geats is even better! OMG Buffa would be an even bigger twist! Oh yeah, good point about Lopo though, yikes. Definitely not a lot of plot armor! :/ Ohhhh thanks for explaining about the buckles, that's awesome! I love how they borrow from other toku!!! So cool!!
