Hey everyone!  I'm back today with Kamen Rider Geats episode 19!!!  Well, now I don't know who the real desastar is!!!!!!  I know for sure it's not Keiwa or Daichi.....but the plot thickens when it comes to who it could be now.  Also, I love that Michinaga was able to get in touch with Ace - too bad we couldn't just hash out all the details together, but I think Ace is putting it together pretty quickly.  I honestly have no clue where all this is going, but dang are they making the ride interesting!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I don't like where this arc is heading for Buffa currently, something tells me Niram is going to make sure Buffa becomes a mindless monster Jyamato. It's funny that Niram is mad that Buffa survived when he's the one that made the raise buckles that way, like if you give the Zombie Buckle the ability to defy death of course he was going to survive! With all these plot twists I'm scared for what other surprises they have in store for us.

Something about this is making me wonder...based on everyone's actions, I think that the aforementioned DisaStar doesn't even know that they've been designated as such.

Hi Hime :) In the end I was partly right, Daichi and Keiwa are not the desistar and Daichi had voted for Keiwa just to eliminate possibilities. But I didn't expect Daichi to get eliminated, I really thought he would play longer on doubt, whereas there, as Ace says, Keiwa has built trust that will be harder to undo. But maybe it's Ace's goal to put a thorn in the side of the DGP and this new rule. Because if you think about it, Daichi hastened his own loss, a simple way to fight against this rule and that everyone votes for themselves or divides the votes between them, if everyone has a star, no one is designated. Speaking of votes, we are sure that Daichi voted for Keiwa the first time, for the other two we don't know. It would be easy to think it's Sae and another, probably Ace. But with Ace casting doubt on whether or not he's voted for him, comes the questioning. Let's imagine that Ace is indeed voted for Keiwa, Sae and Neon know if they voted for him and therefore know very well that the other is the third vote. If Sae didn't vote for Keiwa, Neon becomes a potential desistar in Sae's eyes. Maybe it's just me overanalyzing as usual, but that's the kind of girl I am lol. That's why I see several options for Sae's reactions: - She starts to trust Keiwa thanks to what Neon says and the fact that she gives him back the ninja buckle at the end would be a sign of it. - She is torn as I said between fair play and her desire to win (she's an athlete so she's competitive). - She is suspicious of Neon as I said above. Even if as I said last week, since I ship them together, my headcanon would be that Sae seeing the way Neon talks about Keiwa, thinks Neon is in love with him. But since Sae is starting to have feelings for Neon as well, the looks she gives would be more of the sadness of one-sided love. But again, that's just MY headcanon. Regarding Michinaga, the other two bring his body to where the Jyamatos are born, hoping that Michinaga will become one of them. But since he decided to do it his way, using the jyamato buckles, maybe he intends to take the opportunity to become more powerful and not JUST be a Jyamato. For the little theory of the week, I remember the fact that many heroes of Ishinomori (Kamen Rider, Kikaider, Cyborg 009, Goranger ect ect), feature cyborgs and androids, often with a hero having been kidnapped and transformed in cyborg by an evil organization that he will end up fighting. This is the plot of the first Kamen Rider often reinterpreted later. So I was thinking maybe Ace is that type, not necessarily a cyborg or an android, but not human either. I know I had already mentioned the possibility that he was born in this dimension compared to the other, but that would send a nice tribute to the origins of the Kamen Rider.

Damn... Last week I started to think Daichi could've been a red herring because he was starting to get a little *too* aggressive in his scheming, but I didn't expect him to be the first to get kicked out. D: ...Well I guess he was the obvious choice for a reason, but it's probably for the best that we don't have any *obvious* hints.

Hey, it sounds like you’re feeling better (I know you recorded this a lot later than Jojo) - by the way, it’s been scientifically proven that snuggling with dogs helps. :) I did mention this in passing, but you might want to request to your file provider to use GenmCorp’s upload if it’s available by the time you need it, it seems like their translations are being done by someone who has a clearer understanding of both languages. You were using a different one, that’s why certain things are spelled or worded differently. Oh! Before I get into my thoughts I’ve got an idea - granted, it’s going to have to be a Patreon only idea - but what if we started polling the group each week on who they think the Desaster is and then come back next episode? It might be a fun little mini game. Okay… so my first question regards Michinaga. We kind of know the state he’s in, but… if this world is truly all simulated… then what IS death? And what are each of the players? The objective of the Impostor/Desaster is to shift focus off of him or her during the game. They have to appear to be on the team. There are certain tells in the game, but you have to be very observant and catch them in a lie. Daichi seems to have just wanted to thin out the herd, but he was so overt about it that it was undermining the actual goal of the team. That’s not a good way to avoid suspicion. Regarding the others - “We know Keiwa’s not it.” Whoa whoa whoa, time out there for a second. Based on WHAT, exactly? He could be just using his personality as a mask. It’s PROBABLY not him - but the show could be playing tricks on you again. Ace - It sounds like a lot of people are suspicious of him. He is a Fox. Also, he seems to be getting the confidence of all the other players. When did any of us decide he was more trustworthy? And then there was that line he said to Daichi: “Who wins? The one who sows distrust or the one who gains trust?” Implying that Ace is trying to gain the trust of everyone else. Neon - Now, she is an interesting… cat. Because she’s clearly being herself… however, she hasn’t actually been put in any compromising situations yet either. Who’s suspect the cheery little girl especially after she goes to bat for Keiwa? Is that a genuine move or a self-serving one, especially after she forgot he was there when the game started? Sae - she’s the most wary of everyone else and stand-offish, and you’re right about the camera zooming in a little on her. But you have to ask yourself, is the camera trying to pull one on you too? Also wouldn’t it be a little too convenient to have both of the “new arrivals” be the problem? As far as I’m concerned no one is exonerated, and no one’s guilty. Right now I’m really suspicious of Geats. He’s being too… nice. You have to keep track of the little things. And also, that frog, Kekera, is seriously weirding me out… hey how do you talk without moving your mouth? 😳

Phew it wasn’t sweet Keiwa 😮‍💨

kamenriderhime

I could see that happening for sure! I know, like don't be mad at him because of what you did lol. I know!!!! No one is safe and nothing is quite predictable!!! :O

kamenriderhime

Hi Spadeas! :) You were right! Yeah, I was surprised about Daichi too. Hmm, interesting thought that Ace did this to weaken the new rule. Hmm, we still don't know about that third vote! Ohhhh that's a good point about Neon, maybe that's why there were some weird glances!!! No I think you could be on to something! That makes more sense than my theory lol. That would be SO MUCH DRAMA if Sae had feelings for Neon but could tell that Neon had feelings for Keiwa, whoa! I hope that maybe Michinaga will be more than just a Jyamato! I think there's some definite evidence for Ace not being fully human, and you're right that that fits a bit with historical Kamen Rider! It would be a nice nod!!!

kamenriderhime

Hey, thanks! I guess that must be why, because I snuggle my dog often! :D Oh gotcha, thanks for the reminder about Genm Corp - I'm not the one who downloads the eps but I'll pass it on. I know a lot of the time it's just a matter of who has it up first. OMG, the poll idea is fun! I'd have to do it before the ep airs on Sunday I guess! If they haven't already said who it is this week, I'll think about it :) That's the thing, if this world is simulated, is death even death?! What are we even dealing with here? Yeah Daichi attracted a little too much heat in the way he went about it. Okay so for Keiwa, for me it was his conversation with the frog - like they were both really sure he wasn't the one. But maybe Keiwa isn't aware he's the Desastar? Yeah, I go back and forth with Ace....he's certainly clever enough to pull it off. That's the thing, the little camera hints can't even be trusted with all these twists!!! I can see what you mean about Geats!!! The whole thing makes my head hurt haha. They've done a great job of building this up. LOL maybe he's using telepathy?! :P

kamenriderhime

I know, they booted him fast, sheesh! Those are some great points about Neon!!! The thing is, whoever it is isn't necessarily "bad"; we all have our reasons ere and it's true that she has an in with her dad, yet needs to find out more. We never did find out about that third vote too! I'm glad you noticed that about Sae too...maybe they're purposely keeping her personality/motivations from us?? Yeah I could've stood to see Daichi around a bit longer too, and it does make sense that it could be Ace! That's the thing, anyone with a supporter who clearly like, doesn't know it's them lol, it brings up some questions. So THAT'S where we've been getting the boost buckle all this time haha!! OMG if the toad ends up being Keiwa's dad that would be LIFE CHANGING!!! Think about it though, the parents did die in the game so....maybe it's not that far off? Yeah the Jyamato are evolving so it wouldn't surprise me if we made it past body snatcher status!! So much to think about....!

Senpai

Oh for sure, though it'd probably be a bit juicer if the imposter was kind of bad. I'm sure the DGP would certainly love that. Though if Neon was it, I'm sure she's just doing her part to find out the truth her way. She'll most likely share, but it's most likely she needs to get that information out of her pops, which I'm sure Neon doing well in a DGP season like this would certainly loosen his lips enough to spill some secrets. Of course if it is Sae... Well, she just seems like such a straight shooter. I think if she tried to make any suspicious moves, we'd probably notice it. ...Though... She *was* acting weird this episode.... I just honestly wonder what Toad-Man sees in Keiwa... I mean I don't know what it takes to influence the DGP to give a specific player a specific buckle, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be cheap to give one player the boost buckle SEVERAL times in a row... Just who this mysterious amphibian?! I certainly hope we can reach past that "body snatcher" stage and get to real sentience. Because if we do get a Rider vs Jyamato Rider Team Desire Grand Prix... It'd be nice if the dead Riders personality could shine through to the surface, even if they've got an aggressive spin to them. ...Oh btw, I'm working on a DnD System for a Kamen Rider Geats campaign. xD I'm not going to go full hog into detail, but I'll say it has stuff where like the Desire Driver gives you your base stats... While equipping different Buckles will raise certain stats and give you weapons. Armed Buckle weapons are simple with no special effects, Raise Buckle weapons have special skills and attacks. The process of putting everything together is going to be complicated as all hell, but once I get things running... I've got a great way to churn our one-shot DnD campaigns, and could be easily snowball into a bigger campaign.

kamenriderhime

Yeah it would be for sure! Hmm, I go back and forth on Neon here, there's definitely some evidence/motivation! I know, what exact kind of connection does this little froggie have to Keiwa??? I think there would be so much drama with a "sentient" stage. Whoa, that's awesome!!!! What a great idea for DnD!!! I love it, I hope you have a blast with it!
