Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 2, episode 26!!!  Our first arc was pretty intense!  I loved the focus on Jotaro in this one, and particularly on the budding bond between him and Iggy!  Well, I mean, after the whole throwing Iggy part and intentionally putting him in danger so he'd help....but you know what I mean!  There's definitely a friendship growing there!  And now we have info about our nine new mysterious Dio followers....they're based on Egyptian cards, not tarot cards!  Interesting!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

If you watch the first OP in Stardust Crusaders when there's five stars representing the whole group, there's actually a sixth star, representing Iggy! So now with The Fool out of the way, there's only one (or a few more, I can't make a head count right now of Tarot cards used in the series) Tarot Card left... But first we have the stands named after Egyptian Gods!! It's the second naming convention for stands, and this part will be the last time you see any new stands with these kinds of names, along with the Tarot cards names. Also, the ED is The Last Train Home by Pat Metheny. So far it's the only instrumental ED they have in Jojo, and honestly it's a good pick.

Now we are in the second part of Stardust Crusaders, this means the fights become harder and more dangerous. Let the fun begin! The new Op is one of my favorites from the show. It is sung by the three singers from the previous openings. Now we have a new member in our group. At first I doesn't like Iggy that mutch but after a couple episdes I love his relationship with the crew (he is such a sweet boy). I look forward to your reaction to the Oingo & Boingo episode, because it is one of the best in Part 3.

Hi Hime :) The new opening is a trio, of the three singers of the previous opening. So imagine you're following the show at the same time that it came out, got to this arc, the three former singers come in for this one, you really have the feeling of a climax. Iggy is actually for Iggy Pop, after all one of his big hits is "I Wanna Be Your Dog", so pretty fitting. The fool is a sand stand, can protect its user, take shape and attack, making it almost invincible, does that remind you of anything? This is one of the influences for Gaara of course. N'doul is a reference to singer Youssou N'Dour, known for "7 seconds" with Nene Cherry. It is the beginning of the arc of the 9 Egyptian gods and this arc, is one of the influence of the author of Yu Gi Ho for his own concept. And yes the two brothers are Oingo and Boingo, like the famous band of Danny Elfman (which is one of my favorite bands by the way). The manga which predicts the future, is surely, once again, an inspiration for surely the concept of Death Note. When we say that Jojo is a big influence for pop culture in Japan, it really is. By the way, little info, the next one is a one-part episode, before coming back to a double episode, a bit like "The Sun" had been, so if you want to do just one episode then two, it's is up to you.

Having a blind person play the part of the villain for this particular section is really interesting - normally when media portrays someone with a disability it’s on the hero’s side. But N’doul is extremely crafty. I actually kind of got a Jurassic Park “the T-Rex is looking right at you” vibe even though it’s not exactly the same thing, anyone else? Also it seems DIO preys not only on people’s emotions but also their lacks as well, at least that’s how I interpreted his explanation of why he was serving Mr. Wonderful. Okay though, the funniest part of this reaction though… is watching you keep trying to paint the dog as the hero-who-can-do-no-wrong - among other things…and the show stopping you literally ten seconds later each time and saying, “ya no, that’s so not what this is.” 😂 As far as the dog’s personality, is he REALLY that different from Jotaro? Antisocial, moody, and annoyed… yada yada. Let that marinate for a bit. 🙃 “The dog’s going to save the day.” Show: No, the dog is sleepy. “The dog is going to help.” Show: No, the dog is trying to get away and save its own skin.” “Oh, he has a code of honor.” N’doul: I could get away with all the murders I wanted. “The dog is going to bring you your hat and you’re going to become friends.” Show: No, the dog is putting CHEWED UP chewing gum in the hat. and watching you fall for the trick. This doesn’t feel as much like a friendship as it is a “who will survive the other before completely losing it” scenario, but don’t feel bad, there are days we all have where you can’t get a single hit in your life at-bats. 😁 Speaking of hits, they didn’t say too much about Avdol or Kakyoin but the brothers in the tag did say they were headed to a hospital in Aswan. You know, I kind of wondered if that manga was a reference to Death Note… I’m only five episodes into that series so please don’t tell me what happens though lol… but I understood that reference. Also, shouldn’t manga be read right to left? Maybe that was just a animation goof. So we have the nine Egyptian gods in our way now, huh? Hold on… maybe those Moon y reactions you did last year hold some clues… 👀 (Are we SURE Buffy isn’t a Stand user? You might want to check…)

Okay maybe I gave Iggy too much credit. I love dogs but I’ll be honest he’s a bit of a butt. Which I honestly think is a good thing. We know Jotaro has a tough exterior with a heart of gold. But definitely he comes off as a jerk butt as well. So maybe the two will peel off some layers from one another while throwing down. And man what an ending. I’d say “I can’t wait for next week” but I actually do need some time after that end part 🤭

Ohhh yes I heard about the star! Yeah the introduction of the Egyptian gods is a nice touch! Interesting about the end theme, I've never heard it before. It's very....mellow!

Definitely giving me Jonathan / Joseph / Jotaro vibes!! Awww I can't wait to see more of Iggy! He's a bit of a stinker here for sure lol but I have no doubt his bond with the group will grow. Oh wow, I can't wait for the next one!! OMG no way!!! I'd say happy birthday but this is Dio we're talking about :P Here's a big Ora Ora in celebration though haha!

Hi Spadeas! :) I LOVE that about the singers!!! It reminds me of Jonathan, Joseph and Jotaro! Ohhhh I didn't even think of that with the song haha, it really is fitting! Ohhhhh that's interesting that this was an influence for Gaara!!! Oh cool about the musical reference! Wow, what didn't Jojo inspire at some point! That's awesome that you love Oingo Boingo, they're great! Yeah I'm not surprised this inspired Death Note too! Hmmm...I'll have to think about it, I'd hate to get my arcs split up now! Yeah it was an interesting choice having the "villain" be blind here. I get that reference! Yeah I think you're right that Dio preys on more than just emotion. HAHAHHA I will defend the dog to the ends of the earth!!! I don't care what's going on right in front of me :P (You can see why my own dog is so spoiled now!) Oh good note about the hospital mention. Oh no worries, I actually don't know the entire story of Death Note anyway, I read several of the books a long time ago and probably couldn't spoil you if I wanted to haha. But yeah, I think you already get the gist of the story! Hahahaha I totally thought of Moon Knight and was trying to dig deep to remember anything that might help me figure this ep out :P I mean, I don't think we can rule out anything about Buffy at this point....she's pretty amazing and unusual!!!!! :O (At least I think so lol!)

I’m glad you enjoy this theme! Personally I prefer the previous one, but the visuals for this one are amazing! One thing to note, as we get closer to the end of the part, look out for changes in the opening. They’re pretty obvious so they’re not east to miss. I think your mind is going to be blown 👀 And now we have Iggy! Lol I think you’re going to love him… even though he can be a pain in the butt sometimes 😆 I’m not sure if anyone else has pointed it out, but Iggy’s arrival was foreshadowed in the previous opening. When the stars are shooting across the sky, there’s one for each crusader but there’s one that comes in behind the others- that one represents Iggy
