Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 2, episode 29!!!  OMG!!!  What did I say about this stand possessing Polnareff!!!  I knew it!!!  Oh man you guys, this felt like a very desperate fight!  It's rare to see Jotaro in such a vulnerable position!  And WOW, I did not see it coming that this would just turn into a comedy at the end!!
YAY IGGY!!!  He technically kinda saved the day!  And after that, we really just devolve into a cartoon in the best way lol.  What a treat!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) Anubis is clearly inspired by the trope of the cursed sword or the cursed weapon that takes possession of its user to keep killing. The two first users of Anubis are Chaka and Khan, so there you go, you can imagine who this is referring to lol. Silver Chariot with two swords is seen in the theme, it's fast, but now that you know it, you'll see it next time. It shows once again how the team is able to put references, without those who don't know, realizing it. You can also see at one point the shadow of different Egyptian gods cast on our heroes in the theme during a scene, yet another example. Polnareff and Iggy form an excellent comic duo, at Polnareff's expense, but that's okay.

The first thing to point out is that: Iggy, whom you adore, is a LOT of things… but innocent is most definitely NOT one of them. He’s very sinister, and very playful, depending on the mood he’s on, but a lot of what he does is calculated, either by instinct, or by a seething desire for revenge. Plus: do you REALLY think a pure, innocent, dog could survive this long on THIS particular show? I rest my case. Also, I’ve been meaning to give you this for a while, but you know when you get adamant that something shouldn’t happen on the show, or you refuse to believe it? I think from this point on, you should categorize that as going Cleopatra. Why? Because she’s the Queen of the Nile (or DE-Nial in this case). If I had a $1 for every single time you uttered “OH NO” in this episode I might be set for the rest of the week. Did you get possessed by Joseph while we weren’t looking? Seems like Polnareff wasn’t the ONLY one with that problem… In all seriousness, the Stand seems to be one of the more OP ones and Jotaro was just barely able to contain it… nothing is more frightening than an enemy that learns that quickly. And if this Stand is afraid of DIO’s Stand…? Well, that’s a problem, isn’t it? We also got confirmation that his Stand is indeed The World. By the way the barber’s name was Khan so I was really disappointed someone didn’t really yell out their name at least once. And of course the police show up and get the wrong idea. Then everything seems like it’s fine until it turns into a series of unfortunate events that involve a kid, a lollipop, and a dog. Fir the heroes, they survived what was just a close shave. But for Anubis, the result was an udder disaster. I’ll see myself out. 🤭 By the way, non-related, really looking forward to tomorrow’s stuff! 😎

Hello Melissa :) The fight against Anubis is a very intense one. Even Jotaro had his problems with this stand. But this again shows how strong Polnareff really is with Silver Chariot. The Stand Anubis introduces a new rule regarding Stands. There are also stands without users or which can change their users. Anubis is one of the more dangerous stands, as it can take over people who already have their own stand. Actually, each person can only have one Stand, since it reflects a part of his soul and usually also their greatest desire. I also think these episodes are well animated. The fight scenes in the temple and the fight between Polnareff and Jotaro stand out. Some of these fight scenes are also anime only, like the use of Star Finger from Star Platinium. The mangaka only had him use this ability twice (Episode 6,7) and then dropped it. However, David Production (the animation studio) decided to include the ability more often. In general, the studio has upgraded Jojo a lot, such as adding new scenes or the great soundtrack. The next two episodes will also be very exciting and funny. I look forward to your reaction to it.

Iggy’s kind of like a good luck charm 🍭

Hi Spadeas! :) Oh cool, I knew it hailed from some legend! Ohhhh I hadn't put that together about the names, good call! Ohhhhh that figures that it was in the theme this whole time, wow! I'll look for it next time. Interesting about the shadows of the gods too! Hahahaha they are quite the duo aren't they!!!!

kamenriderhime

Hi!! :D It is very intense! And yes, it really showcases the strength of Silver Chariot. Good point about this adjustment to the rules, too. Right, I wasn't sure if that was even possible, for a Stand to possess someone who already had a Stand. I agree, the fights look really good! I'm glad they added more of these scenes because they look so cool! I can't wait for the next two eps!!!!

kamenriderhime

Haha, well, I'll concede that he's not exactly innocent. Very true, sadly other dogs have not faired so well! HAHAHAHAHAHA I am totally Cleopatra on like every major thing that happens that I don't like :P Hahaha I guess Polnareff wasn't the only one getting possessed!!!! :O So true about how scary it was to see Jojo struggle, and how much of a fast learner this Stand was. Seriously, that really goes to show how scary The World must be! HAHAHA you know what, I totally almost did the Khan yell at one point, but then got distracted :P Yeah the whole conclusion to this is just one big slapstick comedy and I love it. LOL Yang would be so proud!!!!!! I hope you enjoy today's content, it's all up and running now, yay!!!! XD

Hey Polneraff, how come Araki lets you have TWO stands?! So this is a stand that continues to persist even after the User's death... They're pretty much usually going to be trouble, though not all of these certain types of stands necessarily need a new user once they're free from the one who created the stand... Anubis has been AROUND though... For 500 years, bonded to a sword his original user made after the user died... From the sounds of it, Anubis might have been more like a normal stand when his original user was alive(probably using the user as the medium rather than his blade). I'm not sure if this is in the manga or information that Araki revealed later though. Apparently the Original stand user for Anubis was named: "Caravan Serai", which is a reference to "Carvanserai", a Santana album! And who voices Anubis in the Brazilian Dub?! Wesley SANTANA! **cOiNcIdEnCe?!!!1!???** .... I think so! 😂 But that's a pretty neat coincidence!

kamenriderhime

Haha I know right! That's so interesting. I got the idea it started off as a more typical stand too, but the ability to merge with the user/persist after death is really interesting. Whoa!!!! That's a lot of Santana references haha!!!! It is a really cool coincidence!!!!!!! XD
