Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to Red vs. Blue season 15, episodes 1 - 4!!! WOW!  What a way to kick things off!  We're following the story ten months later and in the third person, which really makes this feel like a mystery to be unraveled.  I'm having fun following Dylan and Jax so far, and it isn't long before they (and I!) figure out that the folks stirring up so much trouble for UNSC are not our Reds and Blues.  Plus, we get to see Sister and our Chorus friends again!  Not to mention the EPIC final scene with Caboose being our "Luke" in this situation...until of course, he gets startled and falls :P   I can't wait for more!  Great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Zen Reacts

There are big big chunks of this season i just do not remember or get mixed up with s16, so this should be fun. Also the timing on some of those ads was immaculate

YESS!!! We are finally kicking off the "Shisno" Trilogy. I'm glad to be watching your reactions on this, not many youtubers go past season 13. Mainly because often their community tells them that everything after season 13 isn't good. Which could true for some depending. But I find the Shisno Trilogy to be great! Not as good as the Freelancer Arc or the Chorus Trilogy. But great nonetheless. Fun fact: Dylan Andrew's is the reporter who wrote the "Colorful space marines stop corruption" news article from the finale of season 12.

Yay!!! I'm hearing that a lot, that several people don't like these later seasons....I'm glad I'm giving them a shot! Sounds like it will be a good time! Ohhhhhh really? That's awesome hahaha!!!

So begins the next arc in prime RvB, which has the title “The Shisno Paradox.” Instead of jumping back in with the main characters, we’re going to do a side swerve and see what it’s like coming out at our heroes with from a more… intelligent…? perspective… yeah, that’s gonna go well. There’s a ton of references in this batch as you already put together, but the crack about “nobody wants the Reds and Blues anymore after ten months, they’re all about those monster-fighting teenagers” - is a direct reference to another Rooster Teeth show, one that actually is the only one to get up to and pass this one in terms of popularity. You might know it - there were even a few VAs in here from it. Now you know why I was being cryptic although the captions did say “cue the reference.” Here’s the truth, Caboose is the last Jedi and strong with the Force… he just needed his… lightsaber? By the way, Church left his message directly during the last battle, he was in the same room with everyone. Whatever Dylan has is something else. Now if Caboose is Luke, do we dare even ask who Leia is? Also Santa really does know if you’re telling the truth… 👀 Also there’s clues about who the mystery guy is who’s looking for Tucker… but if you don’t figure it out, you’ll be kicking yourself when the show decides to tell you. But now that we’ve found the REAL heroes, LAW and ORDER can be restored before the rest of the galaxy gets a little more… cheeky. DUNH DUNH! 😏 PS: Time zone changes really throw you off, even when you switch one hour, it’s very weird waking up before 6 AM normal time because of that. XD

The next episode, Episode 5 is widely regarded as the funniest of the series. Enjoy. Season 15 is a wild ride.

Nice!! I can't wait to see more! I like the side swerve and the, erm, different perspective! OHHHHH I thought about it after and wondered if they were referring to a certain show!! LOL so glad you told me to rewatch that! Hahaha Caboose is a Jedi Master alright! I'm not even sure who that makes Leia! Oh ok, that's what I thought about the message, but I wasn't sure. I also hear that Santa sees you when you're sleeping and knows when you're awake - pretty scary stuff! A cheeky galaxy sounds good to me! Oh no, who could the mystery guy be??? I did think of one possibility, and that's Junior - but last we saw, wasn't he still like a teen or something, and Tucker seemed to have enough contact with him to get photos of him and stuff??? Lol. Good luck readjusting to the time zone changes!!! Hope you had an awesome vacation!!!!

Wow! So ours are like urban legends now!? To the world it’s like they’re a myth too hard to even get a hold of! :0 They’ve come along way from blood gulch. These episodes didn’t have a single red and blue (well not ours) and yet I was still more than entertained. We got a good duo with a great rapport 😆 and some heavy drama from Dylan and hubby boo. It’s a really good show when they can introduce someone new and you’re still captivated. I hope to see our guys next time though! I’m so curious as to where they are and what they’re doing. 🔍 👀 🔦

kamenriderhime

Right?!!? They're like almost mythical lol, they sure have come a long way! So true, for an ep that had none of our actual crew, it was really gripping! I know, I feel sad for Dylan and her hubby boo! Exactly - that's good writing right there! I cannot wait to see our guys again though, agreed!!! I know right, like what the heck has been happening these last ten months?! Guess we'll find out!!

Memory is a funny thing. I remember this season taking absolutely forever to get back to the core cast. If you asked me how long it took before I rewatched these episodes in this video, I would have guessed 8 episodes. I was super impatient for the season to move on.

kamenriderhime

Isn't it funny how that works sometimes?? If you were watching in real time, I'm sure it felt that long since you had to wait between episodes!! I can see how one could get impatient to get our crew back for sure!!!

Cody

I just watched these episodes yesterday and I was immediately pulled in with that first scene. I’m already hooked! The RWBY reference was just great! And the last scene! XD when it showed the winding stairs I thought “Haha, this is like Force Awakens.” But then it kept going till it was straight up TFA! XD that was just beautiful.

kamenriderhime

Nice!!! Wasn't it great lol, I didn't quite put it together at first but I love that they did that! That last scene hahaha!!! That's amazing, I love that they went so far with the reference!!!!!! XD

This was a great reaction. I personally have major problems with this season even if I think there are a lot great parts of it. Even if it was really only for the 1st episode I don’t like the really serious tone the episode took because to me it felt overly serious in a way I found to be too much compared to how the serious stuff was handled in other seasons it felt like a parody in a way. Although I do like the intrigue it created. I will say I love Dylan Andrews the reporter as a character for many reasons but in these episodes I love what she is willing to do to get her story as well as the the truth. I love how sassy she is with her boss it’s hilarious. Also of course we would go back to Blood Gulch it does make sense. I love episode 2 and I agree with you that it’s interesting to be following characters on the outside of the Reds & Blues. I think Jax is an interesting meta commentary on people who want to get into film but I don’t really like him as a character that much although he does create funny scenarios/interactions. I love what we see of Dylan’s ideology/ideals when it comes to journalism being telling the truth and nothing else especially because it’s a breath of fresh air compared to what a lot of journalism is like nowadays. I love the stuff with Kakaina being awesome while still being her weird sexual self with all the festivals she has been hosting. I think it’s sweet how she sees her brother as very caring and she’s right. The stuff with Vic is honestly incredible even if the and let’s not mince words here assisted suicide is extremely dark. I bet the actor for Vic was having a fun time voicing a kind of crazy/manic version of Vic even with the darkness. And we get more intrigue with unicorn soldier. I love Dylan’s continued determination in spite of her boss’s discouragement to figure out what’s going on. Also going to the crashed mother of invention is awesome. I can appreciate the movie references from Jax even if I find him annoying. I think the voices are the most obvious hint that they are not who everyone thinks they are. Also the reds and blues do use different weapons but it’s hard to notice with how fast things were happening in episode 3. The unicorn guy was such an enigma when the episodes were coming out. It’s great to catch up with the characters from Chorus in episode 4. I love the interaction with Dr. Grey with how she can see some crazy in Dylan. Also Dylan shooting Jax to get information is crazy and hilarious. The scene with her husband is sad & I like how it feels like a real conversation between a struggling couple. I understand why Dr. Grey & Kimball are being suspicious and careful with what has and is going on with Chorus. I love how Dylan gains their trust with her speech about truth & showing her genuine desire to help the planet. The final scene is great for Star Wars fans but and this is a problem I have with the season it felt too on the nose for me & that’s not something that usually bothers me but it does here. Really enjoyed hearing your theorizing after this set of episodes. Awesome reaction, thoughts & keep up the great work. :-) <3

kamenriderhime

Hey, sorry for not getting back to you!! I've been excited to read all your comments and I'll be replying to them all soon! I'm so happy you enjoyed my reaction! That's interesting about your feelings about the tone of this episode, I can definitely see how it's handled differently than in other instances! Dylan is great for sure, and episode 2 really starts to show us the direction we're headed in. It really is interesting to be following this story without our main crew as the focus. Jax is a fun way to break the fourth wall too. Lol the stuff with Sister is great for sure, it fits so well and it kinda helps to flesh out her character more too. It is sweet that she's genuinely concerned for her brother. The stuff with Vic is so dark that I'm not even sure if I'm supposed to be laughing or what lol. Dylan's outlook on journalism is really refreshing for sure and I love her persistence too. Omg the unicorn guy! I loved getting to see some familiar faces too. It does make sense that Grey and Kimball would be a little cautious. It was a great Star Wars reference but I totally get how that could take you out of it a bit too! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! Thanks for being so kind and awesome as always!!! ^_^
