Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo Part 4, episode 4!!!  So we get to meet the older bro here, and I'm starting to put together that maybe the little bro isn't so bad?
Also, can we take a second to appreciate how freaking clever these Stands are!
And speaking of Stands, Koichi has one now?!!?!  Is it egg related???  Or do all Stands originate as eggs????  So many questions lol!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I neglected to make a crack about some of the dialogue regarding Okuyasu’s Stand and how he has “so much confidence in his right hand..,” or “his hand must be really dangerous…” Now, this can go a number of ways - but I’ll just ask “has anyone here seen Parasyte?” :P What exactly is Keicho (the older brother - that seemed to be his name on the mid episode Card) trying to achieve, he said he had a specific objective? Also I wondered if Koichi would end up with a Stand… but now I’m asking if his stand is Yoshi the Dinosaur? (If you know, you know.) Worse Company / Bad Company reminds me of a somewhat under the radar film from 1998 called Small Soldiers that dealt with a similar concept, don’t know if you’d have seen it or not. But it does fit the time frame. I’m fading fast after all that jet lag, one more to go…!

Manny

There’s some voices that just go with the character. That voice just goes with Okuyasu. I think I like him already. And poor Koichi. He’s a little bean I want to protect. He is brave but how can one explain any of this? 🥚

Hahahahaha I mean that one is left pretty open to lots of different jokes....but yes, Parasyte is a good reference for that one! Right, I was wondering that about Keicho too. Hahahaha awwww I would DIE if Yoshi popped out of that egg! And if Koichi started riding him around hahaha! Oh Small Soldiers sounds familiar but I don't think I've ever seen it! The timing works though. Oh no, good luck with the jet lag!

2023-07-12 08:01:01 The way the arrow works is if your pierced by it and survive, you unlock your Stand ability. But if you can't handle it, you die. Even if you can't handle it yourself, if you're healed before you die, you still unlock an ability, like with Koichi. Approximately 50,000 years ago, a meteorite crash-landed on Earth near an underpopulated region of Cape York, Greenland. In 1978, a mineral excavation team uncovered an unknown virus within the rocks of the surrounding area and determined that it had been lying dormant inside the meteorite. Despite extensive research, government doctors were unable to determine the alien virus's purpose outside of the total elimination of human life. It was soon discovered, however, that certain people possessed a quality that enabled them to not only survive when exposed to the virus, but gain supernatural abilities from it. Several hundred years before the discovery of the virus, a man who wished to acquire the power of a god took material from the meteorite and fashioned it into Arrows. The Arrows were lost to time until 1986, when an Egyptian team of archaeologists uncovered six of them in Egypt. The Arrows were eventually stolen with five of them being sold to Enya the Hag, who used them to give DIO "The World" and create other more Stand Users to face Jotaro and the others during their journey.

Hey Jorden, i like that you explain the origin of the arrows, but actually that's a big story spoiler since it won't be explained until Part 5. Maybe it would be better if you didn't address the explanation until Melissa is in Part 5.

kamenriderhime

Ooooh thank you both so much, Jorden and Bellana! So is it safe to read now? Or should I hold off? ^_^

Leonie2003

But the whole explanation is also given by the anime. In my opinion it's better if Melissa finds out through the anime.

kamenriderhime

Okay! I'll hold off till they explain it, then I'll come back here and check out the explanation :) Thank you!!!

Leonie2003

Yes it is safer because the explanation will have a big impact in Part 5.
